1 starSomething is fishy. Just got talked into spending $150 on a 3 year plan that would allow me a software upgrade to get my mobile app working again. During that call along with 2 other phone calls it was then suggested I spend $100 more to get the lifetime coverage. During the coercion of trying to get the next $100, to upgrade to lifetime support, I was told my 3 year plan only covers us if we have the exact same problem NOTHING new. If I add more cameras during that 3 yr pd there will be no support. ***** **** * **** ** **. I told them no. If I have issues in this next 3 years and I am not happy with the support I am done with this company. Original system purchased in Dec 2017. No issues until now. I was told this support program was put in place in 2022. But I called in Feb 2022 and was helped and wasn’t told I need to purchase this 3 year support plan..Lorex Technology Inc

1 starAtrocious customer service. Between Sales and technical support I’m not sure who is lazier. Danilo on the chat was so incredibly unhelpful despite sales having product knowledge (or not it seems). Not quite sure why it is so difficult to find a LOREX compatible product that works with the LOREX cameras on their site through their reps. *****.Lorex Technology Inc

1 starI could not be more disappointed with this product and the service I have received. I bought a 4 Carma system directly from lorex in march of 2022. I was building a new house and chose the hardwired system. The rough electrical was being installed at this time and the wires were needed that came with package at this time. We went to install the cameras and base system were installed in October of of 22 once the house was completed and we had internet and power. Right off the bat we had a issue with one of wires that was sent and had to reinstall the wire. fast-forward to June all of the sudden one of the cameras stopped working and it was determined the camera was broke and needed to be replaced. They would not stand behind their product because I was out of warranty due to the purchase date. 3 starsI bought a wireless security system in 2018,recently the batteries supplied by lorex for the cameras would not recharge,so I contacted lorex to buy replacements,only to be told they do not make those batteries anymore,and I would now have to upgrade to a new system and they offered a 10%discount it seems to me they should be obligated to supply parts longer than 5 yrsReview fromShannon M

1 starThe tech person on the phone when I called once the system was in place he helped me set passwords for my hard drive and app. Because somehow the system never showed the menu for it. Then the tech person said I'm going to need you to tell me those passwords to make sure it's working. Then said wait 30 minutes and you can log in. 30 min later I try and it's read that a device has already accessed the account. And only one device can be assigned per account. The person I spoke with took my passwords and assigned his own device. I've had these cameras for months. A $900.00 system and I cannot access my own system. This has been so scary to know someone else could watch you through your cameras. I have called and have not been able to get anyone to help me.Lorex Technology Inc

It is highly unlikely the manner in which this customer describes her interaction with tech support played out. 1 star****** ******** * ***** ****** I placed an order on 3/8 to be delivered 3/15. Upon delivery of my 32 camera set up I did not receive the 32 channel Nvr box. I got all 32 cameras , the 16 port switch and no nvr box. I called customer support to let them know and I sent the necessary photos for the case. I am now very frustrated as a customer that has to wait another 3-5 days just to process a ticket. My new business opens next week and we have no cameras now. The support staff were helpful in letting me know I'm waiting 3-5 days FOR SOMETHING THEY MESSED UP. We just want want we ordered before our new business opens

We were told by the customer support team that we did receive the NVR and there was nothing they could do to help us. We never received the NVR in the original packaging from 3/15, we have weight proof that the box weighed less than what was scanned.
UPDATED 03-20-23 RESPONSE TO LOREX SAYING THEY WILL NOT SEND A NVR:
We contacted Lorex within 3 hours of receiving the shipment to let them know of the missing item. There are several reviews online with the same issue. We have no use for a second NVR, however we can't set the system up without the first.

The alleged Missing Recorder that was short shipped in error was reshipped and delivered by *** ****************** way back in March.. Even though all indicators were that the Recorder did leave the warehouse by *** and the *** weights were also consistent with that. Customer was given the benefit of the doubt. Thanks and Regards

1 starAbsolutely the worst customer service experience I have had in decades of business. COVID must have had a devastating material impact on their business as I am beside myself wondering how they continue to operate. Unapologetic and ignorant customer service. They accept zero responsibility and point the finger at everyone else. They even went so far as to give some VERY ********* "advice" I guess you would call it. That really ticked me off and ultimeatly altered my view of Lorex. I was hoping for some kind of support but honestly they need my money way more than I do if they plan to stay in business. I have never written a negative review in past poor experiences but this is actually unbelievable behavior so my focus has turned to reach out everywhere I can to help them maybe understand that taking responsibility and acting upon their shortfalls will prove successful for them in the long run. I guess sometimes this is the only way to get through.
I wish I did not have Lorex camera's at multiple locations within my business as I feel I am going to need to look for an alternative sooner than later. ** ******** ***** *** ******** ****** * *** **** ******* ********* **** ********* *** ****** ********** **** **** **** *** *********** * **** ***** **** *** ********** * *** ** ****** **** ** ****. We're sorry to hear this and sincerely regret the situation with which we are very familiar. This customer was offered every possible assistance and resolution every step of the way, in adherence to our Policies and those established by the industry in such situations. Unfortunaly, only in the end, did he heed our recommendations and obtained the resolution directly from ******. The claims to have Lorex systems in multiple locations is unfounded based on the info we have access to.
If he wishes to consider Lorex for his Security Needs we will be more than pleased to oblidge and even offer him a better deal than what is currently available, as a token of goodwill.

Thank you Lorex but I have already swapped all my security cameras out to another company. In the end the only thing that really ticked me off here is your lack of integrity and willingness to stand behind your goodwill and accept responsibility for what was 100% your negligence, like you said "as you know", which lead to this issue. Instead you simply tell me to request compensation from ****** for the issue which directly stemmed from your "Lorex's" negligent handling of our transaction. Then to top that off, your corporate policies clearly need some attention, I had so many ignorant conversations with Lorex support essentially treating me like I was in the wrong when you "Lorex" knew all along it was your fault. From the very first email Lorex sent me in response you knew, I didnt at the time, it wasn't until we started digging a little deeper that the first email sent from Lorex became more clear to me. To my "somewhat" surprise even *** head office called one day to follow up and they too stated "that they wished they could help but as a result of Lorex's negligence the responsibility was removed from their care and remained solely in that of Lorex's". In the end I hope Lorex is able to learn from this and 1. Incorporate integrity and responsibility into their "Policies" and or Corporate Values. Standing behind your actions goes a long way with customers. 2. When you know you made a mistake acknowledge it, apologize, and treat the related party with respect rather than disdain. 1 starI have the Lorex security systems with the smart hub. ***** ***** **** ***** ** *** ***** **** It is frustrating you ask it to show you a camera seems to always answer "I don't know how to do that". I get all my pics of cameras on my ***** hub which shows everything faster and with no issues. YES I agree I recently bought two doorbells to add on. My major issues only can put up to 8 items on smart hub. Lorex offers the same exact doorbells that are wired for smart hub or just on phone. I bought my 2 thinking they would work on smart hub. Of course they are not the right the
ones. WHY??? would you offer to doorbells that look exactly alike. Then customer service OMG
worse I have had two deal with. They wanted me to send in doorbells then they would send me the correct ones and of course pay more. Message was emailed to suppose go to upper management for compensation. Never got a phone call or email. I chose to just keep the doorbells that don't work on Lorex smart hub. Funny I can see doorbells on my ***** hub because the Lorex smart hub doesn't know how do anything anyways. Oh by the way, I paid for professional installer had to pay him for installs too. Lorex loves for you to buy from but unfortunately the customer service is absolutely frustrating and horrible. They never want to compensate for their own mistakes either!
