      My car was totalled while parked in front of my home; a service vehicle for a home across the street backed into my car, damaging the bumper and headlight (on video). I took my car to the BCAA authorized repair shop, which told me that the damage was minimal and easily fixed without any problem. A day later, they told me that as my car was old, although in excellent condition, they would not fix it as they could not find the parts and also they would not give it back to me. I sourced all the required parts for them, but they refused to use them. I contacted ****, who said they could not understand why BCAA would not use the parts I sourced. BCAA insisted I accept a cash total loss settlement payment by signing at first one form and then another by email. As the forms were inaccurate, I had to make changes to them for accuracy, but BCAA refused to accept them. For a year and a half, I still have not had my vehicle or payment. I had to buy another car to get around. On my email to try to resolve the matter, BCAA forwarded the matter to CAA, which forwarded the matter to the ********** BCAA location. They called me and left messages, saying that I could receive the settlement payment only by resigning other forms at their office in person and that it would take over an hour at the ************* to finalize the matter. I did not agree to attend as the goal-posts keep being moved by BCAA/CAA. I am in the process of filing a law suit against BCAA and *** for stealing and holding my vehicle hostage and for not duly sending me my settlement payment. Without my approval or authorization, my license plates were also wrenched off my vehicle by BCAA, damaging both the plates and my vehicle. I have not been allowed to attend my vehicle to obtain personal property, and my vehicle has been moved to an undisclosed location by BCAA.

      BCAA does not care for or support it's customers. If you experience an issue, expect to have customer ********************** reach out - just don't expect them to have anything helpful or useful to say. Their standard line is "we care about you as a customer", which will be followed up with some excuse as to why your concern isn't ******** advice: if customer ********************** says they will do an "investigation" into your concern, don't bother. They have the money and power to override you in every way, and will never admit fault. You are on your own.

      I purchased travel insurance from BCAA - ***** road in ******* like I always do - I had a torn retina in ***** and I have been given the run around by this company - they are so inadequate in helping anyone I cannot believe someone has not done something to let people know. I am trying to make a claim for expenses while I was in ***** but that is becoming exhausting having to fill out form after form and I have released all my medical information as well as all documentation from 5 hospital visits along with receipts - apparently if you send on-line they cannot read them - not legible everyone else I have sent same forms say they are legible . I have tried to reach the person who sold me the policy with no avail - now I have to drive 2 hours to show up at the door to talk to management and/or salesperson to find out why this is happening. I had surgery to correct the torn retina - still cannot see well out of one eye and Im dealing with these people who clearly like to take the money but dont live to pay out if there is a problem - please check these people out - I think its the underwriter *********************** who are the culprits of this scam however BCAA Im sure are aware of whats going on and if they dont - they should be ashamed of themselves - I have always used BCAA and never had problems until now when I put in a claim - Im tired of getting the run around and just want other people to be aware of this company - they need to be investigated!!!!

      The customer ********************** is fine, however the corporate policy that you can't cancel your membership for road service mid term is absurd. Even if you don't have a vehicle you have to continue to pay the membership until it expires, even though you are paying monthly. And of course you have to call in to do this, you can't cancel on your own account.

      BCAA seems to be getting out of the insurance business. After insuring my RV for years with them, they advised me they will no longer insure it.Their quote for Travel Insurance for when I'm snowbirding is higher than anyone else.Their quote for home insurance was rediculous, and the agent told me they were not interested in insuring homes out side of city limits anyway.The app for roadside assistance doesn't work. I tried to use it for a tow and waited for hours. When I called, nobody monitored the request and I had a tow within the hour of the phone call.Not sure why I even bother being a member anymore.

      Bcaa have increased the price of roadside assistance membership ***** in 2 years absolutely unacceptable!!!Way to go NDP!! We are going elsewhere, have cancelled our membership of 18 years. In a time when people are financially having difficulties you raise your membership 40% in 2 years, again way to go NDP!!!

      Heres a more polished and concise version of your review:---**A Cautionary Tale:**I cancelled my BCAA membership back in January 2024 as I no longer needed insurance. To my surprise, I later found out that the membership is a contract for a full year. Fine, I accepted that. However, I kept receiving renewal notices, which seemed odd, so I called BCAA to confirm my membership was indeed cancelled. I was assured that it was, and that no renewal would occur. They also confirmed they didn't have my credit card on file.The next ***** the renewal dateI was shocked to see a charge from BCAA on my credit card! After checking my account, I discovered that while my membership was cancelled, my home insurance had renewed for another year! Furious, I called the same customer ********************** *** I had spoken to earlier and reminded them that I specifically requested no renewals. After some back-and-forth, I was transferred to a manager who told me I had cancelled the membership but not the renters insurance, which was a separate matter. I couldn't believe it! I didnt realize I had to be so explicit when saying cancel my membership to also mean cancel any other policies tied to the same account. The manager eventually refunded the charge and confirmed there would be no further payments.While Ive used BCAA for over 10 years for travel insurance, I will never use them again after this experience. When a customer asks to cancel their membership, it should be understood to include all policies attached to the account.

      Terrible policies for BCAA home insurance! Wasn't informed of auto renewal and they make it very difficult to cancel policy. You can buy insurance easily online but to cancel, you sit on hold forever to talk to an agent. If you miss their timeline to cancel, you are surprised with a $61.73 cancellation charge! Complained about the charges and told the agent, I won't be doing business with them again and their response was, "well you can't win them all."

      On May 19 I had a driver from BCAA attend metro town centre for a service call the drivers name is ***. I found this driver very professional and helpful,had my vehicle towed to my home as my tire fell off and was blocking traffic. Thank you so much ***.************************.

      I had a low tire pressure issue and **** of 102 towing unit in ******* helped me out in no time at all, and inflated the tire so I could take it to the shop to get fixed. Best service anywhere.
