      I recently signed up for a BCAA Premium Membership, expecting peace of mind and reliable support. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but reassuring.When I needed a tow from a dealership to a BCAA-designated repair shop, my request was flatly denied. I escalated the matter to a manager, hoping for some understanding or at least a willingness to assist, but I was met with the same rigid response. Neither the agents nor the managers showed any kindness or empathy in their voices. Instead, they hid behind their terms and conditions like a shield, with no flexibility, no desire to support, and certainly no effort to make exceptions in a genuine time of ******* a new customer, this was a terrible first impression. I signed up for the premium level of coverage for added security, but what I got was a cold, mechanical experience where policy mattered more than customer care. If youre looking for a company that values compassion and service as much as rules, BCAA is not it.

We never want a new Member to feel that policy was placed above care or compassion.When you purchased your Membership online, part of the sign-up process includes indicating that the Membership ****************** have been read and agreed to. These outline what is and isnt covered under your Roadside Assistance benefits.       I was in the process of a home insurance claim for a very important stolen medical item. All those who had helped me were great and professional. Today I spoke to one claims adjuster who told me that instead of 10 days for an adjuster to review a claim, it was 2-3 weeks. She said I should follow up next week and that if I needed a new medical devices I could go buy one and it would be reimbursed. I very frustrated by this individual and explained that the whole point of the insurance claim was because I did not have $3000 extra to purchase a replacement for my stolen medical device. I called ********************** back to ensure they had received the quote for my medical device as it had not reached them in my original set of emails and was the outstanding document from August 29. I spoke with ****** ****** this afternoon who was absolutely wonderful and within a few minutes had helped me to process my claim, reminding me that I was a long time BCAA member and the device was a needed medical device. I really appreciate employees like ****** who look outside the box and help customers to meet their needs. ****** was polite and efficient and helpful, especially when I explained I was frustrated by being told to go buy a new device with money I did not yet have. I highly recommend anyone who needs help to seek out ****** for their concerns!

      As a 50 year member, I expect decent response. My car wouldn't run and I needed a tow, from Downtown ********* to the dealership. I called at 429 pm and was told the tow truck would be 30 to 40 minutes. After that time I got a text saying the arrival would be 610 pm (100 minutes). I tried to track the arrival in their system but it said there was nothing scheduled. I called and somehow got a human who said she would call the driver. Nobody answered her call. At 610 no truck and no update. I called again and finally got a dispatcher who promised a 20 minute arrival. Eventually the driver showed up at 712 ?Over 2 1/2 hours for a very accessible location!I would suggest avoid BCAA membership.

      We received amazing rescue services from BCAA Road Assistance and their contractor, **** ******* of Tri Peak Towing, out of *********. Without the assistance we received after our car broke down on the side of the dangerous Highway 3 (July 6/25)on way from ******* to ********* , we would still be stuck there. Out of the 100s of vehicles who passed our obvious Hazard Lights and Open Hood, including the three RCMP Vehicles that never gave us a second glance, two gentlemen did kindly stop to offer assistance. However, by that time we had Mr ******* already on his rescue mission. He loaded our vehicle and drove us through heavy traffic all the way home to *********, helped us unload everything and then had to drive all the way back to *********. He likely did not arrive back home until at least 5 or 6 am the next day. Not many would have undertaken this very arduous job through heavy weekend traffic and worked all through the night like that. We are very thankful to both BCAA and **** *******, Tri Peak Towing!

      I'm in **********. I found that the agent who served me for Auto Insurance was not looking out for my interests or trying to save me money. My insurance is almost triple from what I was paying before. Yes, I'm from out of the province where insurance is generally lower, but I have been a driver since 1979 with no accidents. You would think that they could have gone to bat for me and get me the best deal possible but I was dinged for stupid things and the bill added up very quickly. I'm not sure if this was because of this one agent or this organization is now all about the money and customer satisfaction and ********************** are down on their list of priorities. Next year I will go elsewhere when I renew and want the extra coverage without the "money grabbing" incidentals I have never heard of anywhere else. My previous brokers protected me from being gouged. Also, I was an AAA and *** member in previous years but I will not be getting a BCAA membership after this experience.

As a broker in ****************, we are required to sell ICBC insurance, which applies a surcharge for the first three years to new residents moving from out of province, regardless of driving history.       RE: The **** my question would be, is the money from auto insurance used by the government for any other purposes? And if so, what are those purposes? In other words, is public insurance a hidden form of taxation lacking transparnecy? The private insurance companies, possibly including BCAA, are simply a self-serving buisiness far more than a public service.

      l Was on hold for 18 mins, was told my call would be answered in 3 minutes - 2 minutes in they drop my call - after 18 minutes of telling me how important my call was to them. Really is this the best you can do

      I have held BCAA house insurance for over two decades, and they have always provided me with exceptional service whenever I needed it. Any claim was handled immediately and professionally. I always go to them for auto insurance and travel insurance as well because their staff are so warm and friendly when I go to their service location in *******, **. It is also great to get insurance from a company that was founded in ** as I prefer to support the local economy when I can! ** ******

      Criminals! These scammers just increased our home insurance rates by 45%. Will find a new provider and never use BCAA again, for anything.

      My car was totalled while parked in front of my home; a service vehicle for a home across the street backed into my car, damaging the bumper and headlight (on video). I took my car to the BCAA authorized repair shop, which told me that the damage was minimal and easily fixed without any problem. A day later, they told me that as my car was old, although in excellent condition, they would not fix it as they could not find the parts and also they would not give it back to me. I sourced all the required parts for them, but they refused to use them. I contacted ****, who said they could not understand why BCAA would not use the parts I sourced. BCAA insisted I accept a cash total loss settlement payment by signing at first one form and then another by email. As the forms were inaccurate, I had to make changes to them for accuracy, but BCAA refused to accept them. For a year and a half, I still have not had my vehicle or payment. I had to buy another car to get around. On my email to try to resolve the matter, BCAA forwarded the matter to CAA, which forwarded the matter to the ********** BCAA location. They called me and left messages, saying that I could receive the settlement payment only by resigning other forms at their office in person and that it would take over an hour at the ************* to finalize the matter. I did not agree to attend as the goal-posts keep being moved by BCAA/CAA. I am in the process of filing a law suit against BCAA and *** for stealing and holding my vehicle hostage and for not duly sending me my settlement payment. Without my approval or authorization, my license plates were also wrenched off my vehicle by BCAA, damaging both the plates and my vehicle. I have not been allowed to attend my vehicle to obtain personal property, and my vehicle has been moved to an undisclosed location by BCAA.

      I purchased travel insurance from BCAA - ***** road in ******* like I always do - I had a torn retina in ***** and I have been given the run around by this company - they are so inadequate in helping anyone I cannot believe someone has not done something to let people know. I am trying to make a claim for expenses while I was in ***** but that is becoming exhausting having to fill out form after form and I have released all my medical information as well as all documentation from 5 hospital visits along with receipts - apparently if you send on-line they cannot read them - not legible everyone else I have sent same forms say they are legible . I have tried to reach the person who sold me the policy with no avail - now I have to drive 2 hours to show up at the door to talk to management and/or salesperson to find out why this is happening. I had surgery to correct the torn retina - still cannot see well out of one eye and Im dealing with these people who clearly like to take the money but dont live to pay out if there is a problem - please check these people out - I think its the underwriter *********************** who are the culprits of this scam however BCAA Im sure are aware of whats going on and if they dont - they should be ashamed of themselves - I have always used BCAA and never had problems until now when I put in a claim - Im tired of getting the run around and just want other people to be aware of this company - they need to be investigated!!!!
