When purchasing Wondershare ******* this company takes your credit information and then does not allow you to Manage Payment/Edit your Payment Method. Meaning you cannot change your payment information. When pressing Update button the next screen then says Edit your payment method. Pressing Credit Card results in Update failed. A customer should ALWAYS be provided the capability of changing their credit card information. Not allowing a customer tot change billing information is a deceptive trade practice.Business Response

Hello Im contacting you about deceptive practice violation and theft Ive experienced using services from Wondershare Technology. I was working on a video project and accidentally deleted a file from my video camera. I stumbled across their website ************************************ on Friday, April 4th, promising a data recovery tool with a success rate of 99.5% and clicked on the link that saids try it FREE. Their website, under the FREE ************** section also states, Wondershare Recoverit offers a free scan of any hard drive. You can also preview all file types, such as documents, photos, music, and videos, for free before data recovery. Their website also states that they have a free version for data recovery, allowing users to recover up to 100MB of data. I downloaded the FREE app and used their FREE preview, which deceptively showed that the lost file I was looking for was working perfectly. Ive attached a screenshot showing the file -NMR007.MP4 file that I was attempting to recover. However, to download the file size it was over 100 mb, I was advised to upgrade to a premium version, which I had no problem doing because the FREE preview showed that my file was working well and their app stated that I will be able to repair the app. Ive screenshotted the upgrade to the premium version screen on their app, telling customers to buy a product to download the file after the preview. I paid $42.49 to download the video, only to download it to see that it was a standstill image, and the file was still damaged. As such, I reached out to them via email for a refund since their services clearly did not work for me and they have a 7-day money-back guarantee refund policy and I was well within the 7 days. I purchased a software subscription for Democreator which was advertised to have 7 day free trial that I could "cancel any time." ******** from customer support said I made two purchases, one was nonrefundable and the other was a separate product that had a 7 day free trial. There was nothing on the website that said I was making two separate purchases. If I was purchasing two things, it should have said that and it should have said the $60 charge was nonrefundable. It does not say that and instead says multiple times that I could cancel at any time. If I had known it was nonrefundable and I could not "cancel at any time" I would not have made the purchase which was done to try out this product. After I tried out the product for one day and cancelled the subscription, I was told they would keep my $60. They were also going to continue charging me a monthly charge on top of the $60 until I found about this and asked for this separate subscription to be cancelled. I am sure dozens if not hundreds of people were tricked the same way. I now see that there are many BBB complaints about this company which I unfortunately did not know about beforehand.Business Response

I would never have purchased a year-long subscription if there was not a 7 day trial period that I could "cancel at any time." On March 18th, 2025 I looked into perhaps purchasing a subscription to Wondershare's Filmora program. Upon looking over the the plans, as with all other sites, it looked as if I could purchase a monthly membership for $4.99/month or a yearly membership for $59.99. Not being able to afford such a price I decided to click the $4.99. However, their ad was very misleading and I was charged for the $59.99 plus tax. There is no option for a monthly payment as they make it out to seem. Immediately seeing what had happened I reached out to the company without downloading nor activating the program sent along with the invoice. I informed the company that I did not want nor could afford this subscription and wanted a refund. After many emails and run arounds they still refused. They sent me a picture of their subscription page and that was NOT what I saw. They asked me to send them proof of what I saw on their page and I did so and they still denied my refund. On January 5, 2024, I purchased iTube Studio software from Wondershare, which functioned properly for the initial couple of months. However, it subsequently ceased to operate, and I initially struggled to find a way to contact their support. Eventually, I managed to reach them on February 17, 2025, to report the issue with the software. They acknowledged the problem but informed me that they no longer offer support for this outdated software. While I understand this situation, I have encountered similar scenarios with other companies where the software continued to function despite the cessation of support. In this instance, however, the software is completely non-functional. It is important to note that I have not updated either my system or the software, which should have allowed it to continue working. The representatives explained that the software's failure was due to updates made by *******, which I believe should not be my concern. They are now suggesting that I purchase a new software solution from them to perform the same tasks as the original software. I requested that they provide me with the new software at no additional cost, as I have already purchased a perpetual license (Order #************ for the original software, which was expected to fulfil these functions. I do not believe it is fair to pay for the same capabilities twice, and I am also concerned that the new software may encounter similar issues in the future.Business Response

This page is a scam. The product does not work, and the customer service is inconsistent. When I try to answer their questions, they end the support session. They keep asking for logs but wont wait while their slow product tries to retrieve them. I have spent over five hours with five different agents, receiving inconsistent answers. One agent gave me a Mac product key, while the next claimed I had the Windows version. However, when I check my product history, there is no indication that it is Windows-only.I have tried two different computers, two different cables, and have redownloaded the software as instructed by one of the agents, yet the issue persists. The Mac version can find my Android but not my iPhone, and the Windows version loads forever. I dont know what their deal is, but based on other BBB reviews, its clear this is fraud.Business Response
