Tell Us About Your Problem:My Microsoft account was compromised by a hacker who changed the recovery email to ************************* After discovering the breach, I was able to use the hackers own recovery email during the password reset process to regain access to the account.Once back in, I immediately replaced the hackers recovery information with my own: *************************** a valid and active email address that I still have full control of.However, shortly after making this change, Microsoft locked and then permanently suspended my account, claiming that due to updated security information, they could no longer help with recovery. I have been told by support that there is nothing they can do, as their system automatically blocks recovery after a security update even if the update was made by the rightful owner. This situation is extremely frustrating. I was the victim of a hack, and after successfully taking back control of my account and updating the security info, Microsoft punished me by locking me out entirely. I now have no access to:My personal and professional files in ******** My paid content, including ********************** or subscriptions tied to my Microsoft account ********************* automated system has clearly failed in this case, and customer support has refused to escalate the issue to someone who can verify ownership manually. What I'm Requesting:I want Microsoft to:Manually investigate and restore access to my account.Unlock the account and confirm that *************************** is now the correct recovery contact.Restore all purchases and content, or alternatively, transfer them to my new Microsoft account.Provide a clear explanation of why the account was locked after I secured it from an active breach.I have no problem providing any verification required past passwords, device history, IPs, proof of purchase anything needed to prove I am the rightful owner.

I attempted to log into my account with the email ********************** but even tho I have the correct password it said I had to verify. The only way to verify was to send me a text verification to the number linked to the account. The number is ************** my phone number. The verification text never came. I went through Xbox support they told me they dont know how to help me and told me to go to microsoft support. Microsoft support ran me in circles before sending some alternate verification methods to me. These methods didnt work because I dont have my original Xbox that I made my account on and I dont have the same debit cards that have been used on the account. I have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on the account I just wanna be able to log in. I have the password and the number.

I purchased a Microsoft device *********************** controller) from Best Buy approximately 1 year ago. The charging dock stopped working and I made a service order under warranty. After they sent me the shipping label, I promptly sent the device to their repair facility. (1/13/25) The device was shipped through *** and arrived after several days. Upon contacting Microsoft support, they were unable to confirm that the device was delivered and claimed they had lost it. I have contacted *** for information, however, they told me only Microsoft could contact them to open a claim. I have relayed this to Microsoft support several times, and each time I am told they will get back to me. They have yet to provide me with a resolution to this warranty claim/support request after 7 months and several attempts to resolve it through their support.

I am writing to express my extreme frustration and dissatisfaction with your handling of my refund for a returned Surface Pro and Surface Keyboard. It has now been over three weeks since I returned these items, and despite providing proof of delivery, I have not received the refund of over $2,300, which remains wrongly on hold.I have contacted your customer support team three times, each time being told that the issue would be resolved and that I would receive my refund soon. Yet, no action has been taken, and your representatives have provided false assurances with no follow-through. This is completely unacceptable from a company of Microsofts size and reputation.I expect IMMEDIATE resolution of this matter, including full refund processing without further delay. This ordeal has caused significant inconvenience and financial disruption. If I do not receive confirmation of refund issuance within 48 hours, I will escalate this matter through formal consumer protection channels, social media platforms, and, if necessary, all other means. Complaint: 23542657

I am rejecting this response because: no one has contacted me, I have called your customer support 3 times, and every time they said this is with escalation team and they will give u a call and no one has bothered to call or email me. So its really a lie when you say somebody has been in contact with me, NO ONE HAS BEEN. The devices are returned for 4 weeks now and you are holding over $2,300 unlawfully! And you come here and say theres been delay with refund without any other details! Even this response shows you have no intention to resolve the issue. She me the records that someone has contacted me and left voice message or chatted with me, no one has despite my numerous requests and being on hold and on the phone for hours, and all of this to process a simple refund of a product thats been returned per your guidelines 4 weeks ago!!!

I am sorry for such inferior customer service from such a reputable company!

I am rejecting this response because:

1- my phone number is ********** and email ******************* Show me the proof someone has contacted me, no one has, so its extremely disappointing you are spreading false information.

2- Shame on you and the entire Microsoft Corporation that for a client simple refund to be processed client has to go thru his financial institution to dispute a charge! After weeks of follow up to process this normally and not so dramatic! And more sadly not even acknowledging that your whole refund  processing is completely broken!

      Sincerely,

I received a 2 day indisputable suspension from the Xbox network for a harmless group post, I have tried contacting support but I have only gotten to AI and automated help bots, and my requests for human representatives were ignored, then the bot hung up because I wanted a human. I had also attempted to resolve my issue with the bot, but it kept leading me to the support website and telling me to use the non-existent dispute button.
