I went to bass pro shops while on a trip to ************** for 2 week vacation and while I was there I applied for a bass pro club card so that I could get better deals while I was here.I got approved instantly and then capital one locked down my account for fraud prevention purposes and had me send them pictures of my drivers license and other c*** to prove my identity. And told me to wait 7-10 business days and see if they unlock my account. So now not only did I take a credit hit, but I also cant use my card for what I got it for. As there isnt a bass pro shop in my area back home.

I would not even give them any stars. I went over my limit I pd them off in full. The money went through my bank all ready there punshing me keeping me from using my card until money went through. Which yesterday it did. Can't use my card until another 3 weeks. If u file that u didn't get from wat u ordered from a store delivery and they give you the money back then tell you that they found nothing dont believe it. I had proof wat they sent me wasn't where it was sent cause they blacked out most of the information from them. *****

My issue is specifically using Capital One Travel (where I used my Capital One card and they also charged a huge additional fee). I booked a hotel through Capital One Travel for last weekend, and when I checked out, I noticed the hotel receipt was $95 less than what Capital One Travel charged me. To make sure I wasnt mistaken, I called the hotel directly, and they confirmed their price was correctmeaning Capital One Travel overcharged **** then called Capital One Travels customer service, expecting theyd make things right. Instead, they told me there was nothing they could do because I had already agreed to pay when I booked, even after I provided proof of the hotels actual rate. The lack of accountability and support was incredibly frustrating.I will never use Capital One Travel again. If you value transparency and fair billing, I strongly suggest booking directly with hotels or using another travel site.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and confusion regarding the denial of my recent application for the Capital One ***************** Credit Card. My application was submitted on or around September 2025, and I subsequently received notification of ********* credit profile, as assessed by all major bureaus, is exceptionally strong and well-managed. My current FICO score is 825, placing me squarely in the "Excellent" tier. I maintain a long, consistent history of perfect payment, manage a healthy credit mix, and possess a low utilization rate. The most baffling aspect of this denial is its direct contradiction to the swift approval I received from another major financial institution. Specifically, just two weeks after receiving Capital Ones rejection, I applied for the **************** Platinum Card and was approved instantly online. The Venture X and the Amex Platinum are considered comparable, premium travel products, and the discrepancy in the approval decisions strongly suggests an error or flaw in Capital One's underwriting criteria or data assessment process. The denial reason provided by Capital Onewhich I await in the formal letter, but expect to be related to 'too many revolving accounts' or similar highly subjective metricsis illogical given my demonstrated financial responsibility and immediate qualification for a competing top-tier card.I request the following actions:A complete, detailed review of my application by a senior underwriter, going beyond automated scoring models.A clear and specific explanation for why an applicant with an 825 credit score and a proven track record of responsibility was deemed unqualified for the Venture X, especially when other top-tier issuers have confirmed my eligibility.

Capital One sends me a message saying they locked my account because I made a payment on my account. I repeat made a payment on my own account. Then they proceeded to hang up on me twice. And during the verification of one of my banks that they called the wrong bank so that means I was giving the wrong person my personal information. And its still not resolved. I spend $1.5 million on their credit card per year and Im looking to switch because of this. No apologies no nothing from them. The inconvenience of two hours of my life is absolute BS. And I repeat I made a payment to Capital One and they lock my card.

Somebody opened up a **** account my name fraudulently so I called capital one to tell them they responded to that by locking my debit card freezer. My account not giving me access to any of my funds of four counts there. Im running a business for one and also feed my family. They could care less. They all have different stories and reasons why when I called down there I spoke to many people and nobody I want to give me the time of day. Im beyond disgusted with the way that they operate business to treat customers and I will never go back to ********************** ever again.

Referral of a friend is a scamI have been a card holder of 2 different cards from ******* ONE for years, and havent had any issues until now. I did the referral for a friend to get a statement credit and it was stated that once approved I would receive that credit. I had 2 family members apply and get approved and THEN I was told something totally different in order to get the credit for referral. So basically it helped their company get 2 more customers with no thanks to me. You have to jump through several hoops to even see "if" You qualify for the referral AFTER they make several purchases and payments, THEN it takes 8 weeks to "see if I qualify for the credit" WHAT?!? THATS NOT WHAT WAS SAID ON THE REFERRAL LINK! I'm upset because i bugged my family to even apply and they only did it to help me out and come to find out I only helped the company. You really shouldn't be so evasive in including all the fine print because im sure many wouldn't even waste their time sending the link to anyone. I don't work for them and I should be given my credit as I helped them. Won't refer anyone else I know that and I will let everyone I know that its a scam. In this economy I NEEDED that statement credit

Sudden Deposit Hold After Posting Caused Negative Balance I opened a new Capital One account recently and deposited a $2,500 check via mobile. The deposit showed as posted and available, so I used it to pay a bill. The next day, I received an email that the funds were suddenly placed on hold until November 3, leaving my account negative.I understand that banks need to verify checks, especially with new accounts. However, the issue is timing and communication customers shouldnt see funds as available or be able to spend them if a hold is still under review. That creates unnecessary stress and overdraft risk. The representative I spoke with was polite and explained they needed to confirm the check with the writer, but better transparency upfront would prevent confusion like this. Im asking Capital One to improve how it alerts customers about potential holds before deposits are shown as available.
