  • Customer Complaint:

    The BBB has received numerous complaints from consumers that allege paying a large fee to this firm for EIN numbers and the company claiming to be with the IRS.  Online searches for this company website show that the website is based in Iceland and not in the United States.  BBB strongly encourages consumers to visit the irs.gov website directly for any assistance in obtaining a EIN number.  Consumers report their bank accounts being charged hundreds of dollars repeatedly for fees and providing SSN, passport information and other forms of ID that have then been compromised.  To date, we have not received any responses to the complaints on file.

    Based on the web address and search results in ******* I thought this was the legitimate government address to apply for an EIN. I have since learned it is free and a scam. I provided all of my personal details including credit card info and SSN.

    This company's entire business model is to set up a website looking very similar to the official IRS site in order to trick people paying outrageous fees for filing trivial paperwork that is free if you go straight to the government site. When we noticed the website was not dot.gov after finishing the online form, we tried to go back and delete the personal information. When we first delete information, we assume the account is over. The following day, the website sent me an email to my personal address, requesting me to submit the form with a 50% discount. My primary concern is that they may have saved all of my personal information, including my SS#, home location, phone numbers, business name and other details, in their database and may use it fraudulently in the future.

    Company misrepresented itself as the *** via its website domain and offering of "services". It also failed to provide the services it offered, specifically unlimited phone support, as it does not even list a telephone number to call for said services.My transaction with the company occurred on 12 July 2023. I requested a refund the next day on 13 July 2023 when I was not able to call them or utilize my unlimited phone support option.I am requesting a refund of the $250 charged to my **** credit card.Thank you.

    Better Business Bureau:

    At this time, I have not been contacted directly by IRS-EIN-Tax-ID-Number.com regarding complaint ID ********.  That being said, I contact **** to dispute the charge with the vendor.  **** opted to credit my account for the original charge.  I have not had any contact with the vendor since requesting a refund from them.

    I wanted to get an *** number and clicked on this link that I thought was the I $199 which I paid by credit card. Then I found that to get the *** number is a free service. This is a fradulent company (**************************). I'm afraid that they going to use my personal information to do frauds. I called my credit card company to dispute this charge.

    date 3/19/2023 i went to obtain a *** online. I went to what I thought was the *** website.I paid $277 for a *** number. Which I learned later was A scam. The *** provides the *** free. They charged my credit card the $277.

    irs.***-taxid.com looks like a legit IRS website that gets EIN number. I did not pay but I introduced all my information in the website including my SSN. They charge $250 for a service that is free in the irs website. This company must be **** I request all my information being delete from it.

    This website poses as an *** website to harvest money for a service the *** provides for free. I fortunately noticed that this was the case when they asked for payment, but at that point my SSN was already in their database.

    Its.taxid-is.com, posing as a government site, obtained my social security number. I am concerned that they will use my information to obtain false credit accounts in my name. .
