  • Customer Complaint:

    The BBB has received numerous complaints from consumers that allege paying a large fee to this firm for EIN numbers and the company claiming to be with the IRS.  Online searches for this company website show that the website is based in Iceland and not in the United States.  BBB strongly encourages consumers to visit the irs.gov website directly for any assistance in obtaining a EIN number.  Consumers report their bank accounts being charged hundreds of dollars repeatedly for fees and providing SSN, passport information and other forms of ID that have then been compromised.  To date, we have not received any responses to the complaints on file.

    Business claimed to be part of the **** which it is not and charged a fee of $329 to obtain an EIN for business. After making payment, website states that it could not accept the payment, but did collect the money from account. Did not receive any services for fees charged.

    That website is deceptive as you can get. No where upon submission to they advise that they will be charging $329 ! Holy cow! They don't answer the phone. I've written them but based on complaints I will be lucky to see it again. I had not idea it was NOT the U.S. Government, and clueless until I saw the charges went through on my checking account. I thought it was a small fee at best.

    ON July 15 2023 I went to file with the irs for a ein number. I searched through ****** and 3 sites came up on top with irs.ein so I mistakenly trusted this was the place to get a ein from the *** The site was colored with irs colors and name on it so I figured it was irs(FRAUD) after completeing all the info of mine it took me to a pay area pay $249 where I was confused and put my chase card there. Then it said it would take 2 or more days to get ein. MY credit **** denied the charge since they knew it was fraud. They sent a email denying so then I realized I was being scammed. I called my card and told them I was being scammed with fraud. I went to ***.gov and applied for a ein which I received right there for free on July 15 I emailed the fraud and told them to cancel all charges and DO NOT GET ME a EIN since they were fraud acting like the *** Instead of following my wishes they continued to charge my card 249 for a ein under a different name than irs.ein therefore the charge showed up I am in dispute with this charge and cancelled my cc again due to the fraudsters having the number I told them their(customer service BS) to get rid of all my information I had given them but I doubt they do that. I turned them into the *** and *** as fraud.

    I searched the internet for IRS EIN number and ran across this website containing IRS right in the domain and with a website that looked like the ***** I only found out today typically filing for an EIN if fee and should have not charge. The information I feel was misleading and fraudulent as the website looked to be the **** Please advise is any action can be taken for the $249 spent

    Applied for tax id number under impression this was a IRS company. Immediately emailed the company to request cancellation. I followed up on a business day and have not received a response. I tried calling for two hours and received no answer along with being sent to voicemail then a recording stating voicemail is full. In addition, they require ssn for tax id which I did provide.

    IRS EIN appears like an official IRS website. I had already provided all of my personal information before I realized that it was not associated with the **** I placed a stop on my bank card and hope that they weren't able to withdraw the $250. Most importantly, I am hoping to have my personal information deleted. Is there anything I can do?

    My wife and I started a business. Somehow we landed on a page that appeared to be on the *** website. We were trying to get an EIN so theat we could open a business account. I put in my name, SSN, and address. Then I paid the $279 for rush EIN delivery that was supposed to be same day. I have contacted my card company but need to wait until the payment posted. I emailed the company and requested that they refund payment and delete my information from their system. MY request is to ensure that I am not charged, continuously charged, and that my information is deleted from their system.

    07/28/2023 I accessed this website (***********************************) which is a fraudulent website that steals personal information and charges $250 for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) that will never be received. Website requests personal information including name, address, email, SSN, DOB, and phone number. Please remove this website.

    Site Looks Very Similar to IRS Website. I thought I was ordering from IRS website. No one to contact immediately after purchasing (no one answered telephone). Horrible that the government does not take this site down with all of these similar complaints.

    At this time, I have not been contacted by IRS-EIN-Tax-ID-Number.com regarding complaint ID ********.

    They did refund partial payment, but they did not agree that their website is misleading as I honestly thought I was booking with the IRS.
