    The BBB has received numerous complaints from consumers that allege paying a large fee to this firm for EIN numbers and the company claiming to be with the IRS.  Online searches for this company website show that the website is based in Iceland and not in the United States.  BBB strongly encourages consumers to visit the irs.gov website directly for any assistance in obtaining a EIN number.  Consumers report their bank accounts being charged hundreds of dollars repeatedly for fees and providing SSN, passport information and other forms of ID that have then been compromised.  To date, we have not received any responses to the complaints on file.

    On 12/20/2022 I tried to get an EIN for my business but was redirected to a site the looked like the official IRS site for the business intended. I was asked to fill in various PII and was charged a fee of $269 for an otherwise free service. I have tried to reach out to the organization to cancel that order and for all collected information to be destroyed but I haven't received any response by email or only reach a voicemail when I try to reach them. The order number is A8A12DA9.

    The site says irs and ein charging $250 for what is free on the actual irs website. I will be filing a police report as well. This is a deliberate attempt at defrauding the public. I am terrified they have my private information. By the time I realized it wasnt the actual irs website and was a scam I had already pressed the button.

    - 09/18/2022 was the transaction date, i paid 297$ for a free EIN comparing websites to the real irs website it is almost exactly similar.https://irs.tax-id-ein-number.com/ was the website, i had contacted them and they had told me all sales are final and a refund is not possible. as well a dispute would cause them to put it in collections.

    09/15/2022 SCAM! website dressed up as the exact same current irs platform will a ****** dollar charge for a free service this is simply tricking people who need an ein number to pay a fee that's not needed. i have to put my business on hold because 2 days worth of pay went to my ein number, wait no it didn't i went into a clever scam artist pocket and now im behind on my plans not because i have to be but because someone got the better of me.website deliberately resembling government websites dealing with sensitive information, social security numbers, contact information need to be removed from web search engines and unable to buy advertisement space. this is an obvious long standing ***** hiding behind the law. will someone please take ownership and help provide justice to people who want to help themselves contribute to society not not protect what's obviously an absurd scam. this in unfortunate i fell for this but thousands will and its no ones fault but ours to not better regulate issues in the gray area such as this will someone like ****** or a society fight these battle or we simply on our own?

    I went to get an EIN and clicked on a website posing as the *** and I was charged $247 for a free service. I contacted them to received a refund and received no response. I am working with my credit card company to file a dispute for the funds. It was so confusing. I don't usually fall for things like this but I did and now I am out $247 and my social security number likely to the dark web. So upsetting.
