1 star4/25/2024: Scam alert. Reservation Counter settled with the *** for misleading travelers to believe they were dealing directly with hotels, charging when reservations were booked. Had to cancel due to my Dad having emergency operation for prostate cancer. However, when I called for a refund I learned I was charged immediately for the cost of the hotel room, plus applicable fees and taxes. I was not adequately informed that I would be charged upfront. ***...they asked for confirmation this surgery! Wow! What a horrible scam Reservation Counter is running. Wasted hours trying to fix this. If you choose the call back option, it will hang up. Call customer service, they will hang up. When you finally reach a person, they cant find your customer case # (proof that they approved refund) notes. Say theyll call back, they never do. Say you'll be refunded in a week, they don't. Got confirmation from hotel and Reservation Counter that I would get a refund. No refund weeks after. Called again! Was told it would be escalated and resolved. Three weeks latercalled again, oops - forgot to escalate. Still need to contact the hotel. I called the hotel directly and they confirmed they already approved the refund by email. Asked for details of the tax recovery charges & service fees. He couldn't figure out - did not see on his end. Clearly a lie and in the accounting. So glad they record calls. This can all be verified. Called again after not hearing back. Asked for a manager, said I'd reached the top. No one else to speak with. Still havent heard back. The business committed to a refund and kept dodging, not calling back. This issue has not been resolved and to be satisfied I ask that the full amount is refunded. Ads/webpages (enclosed screenshots) create the impression that you're booking rooms directly with the advertised hotel. Not eligible to receive reward points. Hotel cancellation and refund policies, were not the same as booking directly from the hotel.Reservation Counter, LLC

The hotel refused to give me a receipt for the 3 nights I stay for evidence that I checked out early. Once I checked out and was not given a refund. I was not allowed to immediately check back into my room. The hotel was the comfort suites in *************. ****************************************************************************************: $321.30 Taxes and Fees: $93.20 Service Fee: $17.99 Total Cost: $432.49Reservation Counter, LLC

1 starThis is a total scam. I used Bing to book with ****** for an upcoming trip. The first tab was ************************** Hilton which, I assumed wrongly, was a Hilton reservation page, not a third party. I clicked that link, and all of the standard logos and branding appeared on the page. There was a tool to check availability and pricing, and I booked 4 nights for roughly 1600 dollars. I was then contacted by my credit card company that a 7499 charge was pending. It was 1600 per night which is absurd. I have stayed at that property for the same meeting for years and it is usually around 400 to 500 per night. I canceled the reservation within 24 hours and was given an online cancellation notice. We never saw the credit come through and called and found out the reservation was nonrefundable. They stated they would contact ****** through the escalation process available and stated after three days ****** declined. I contacted my credit card company who is launching a fraud investigation. I have contacted ****** (been a member for years) and told them they were being besmirched by these scammers. These people should have their license pulled. I am also contacting the ********************************* available to investigate since they are based in ****. I use the internet to book many trips and am amazed I was scammed into believing I was booking with ******.Reservation Counter, LLC

1 starUNREAL!!! My credit card was charged $277.48 for my reservation. Upon checking out of the hotel, the hotel receipt showed that the company only paid the hotel $185.78. Therefore, Reservation Counter kept $91.70 of my money versus paying the hotel the entire amount. I talked to customer service and was told that there would be no refund to me. COMPLETE SCAM!!!!!!! I won't even give them a 1/2 star!Reservation Counter, LLC

?Thank you for bringing this to our attention, ********. Reservation Counter is an online travel agency, and we book reservations at over ******* hotels worldwide. We receive our rates from the hotel directly. It appears the hotel supplied you a rate different from the one that they provided us. The contracted rate was agreed upon at the time of booking. Because your reservation was booked with us and not through the hotel directly, we are contractually bound to adhere to the rate agreed upon at booking. 1 starFraudulent. Blatantly lied and charged a large amount for a completely wrong room despite reading back all information correctly. We asked for a specific room, 4 adults and 4 children that was supposed to be $700. Instead we got a confirmation email for a room that was 2 adults and no children and charged us a different amount than what he said, about $430. This was also after a long difficult conversation trying to get him to understand. He kept repeating the same questions over and over like he had no idea what he was talking about. It is as if they were on another planet. Then when we called back, a different agent refused to correct the situation other than canceling. Then a supervisor also got cocky. They were rude. Not exaggerating. Absolutely the worst reservation company I have ever heard of. The way they advertise on the internet is also misleading as if they were actually the Great Wolf Lodge when in fact they are just a reservation company.Reservation Counter, LLC

1 starThis company is a scammer, and my story is not different from the reviews I have seen here. They have a pattern of operation, and I would like customers to take note.On Saturday, August 10, 2024, I called one of the Hotels in **********, ***********, to reserve a room for a trip to **************************** for our sons first day in college. Somehow, I was routed to the Reservation Counter, thinking I was talking to the front desk office of a hotel. When I requested a reservation for that particular hotel, the lady on the other end of the call told me it was fully booked and that she would get me a comparable hotel. We concluded the transaction immediately, and I paid via a credit card.On August 16, my wife, son, and I arrived at ***, ********************************************************************************, at about 3:00 PM and noticed that the *** environment was messy and unkempt. The veranda floor towards the rooms was laden with water; the bedspread was stained, and the room was stuffy. At this point, I was completely dissatisfied and uncomfortable keeping my family in that hotel, which also felt unsafe.I immediately returned to the front desk office to ask for a refund. Unfortunately, every attempt to request that refund failed. The front desk officer said he could only refund if the Reservation Counter would send them an email. I had several phone conversations with Reservation agents/staff lasting over two hours, promising they would immediately send that email. About thirty minutes after I left the Hotel, a Reservation Counter staff member, Alley, called to tell me that she just called the front desk office and that the hotel wouldnt refund the money. That statement contradicted what the front desk officer told me, so I drove back to *** and narrated Alleys response. The front desk officer said nobody had called him and that he had not received any email from **************************, as Alley claimed.I have more to say than this space allows. I have waited for 20 days. 09/05/24.Reservation Counter, LLC

1 starThis company is not in the business of helping or service but rather scamming and stealing. What a shame in this day and age when air travel is so difficult, things are so expensive. We had a NINETY MIN. change in our plan and could not get to the city where we booked a room. We ha a TODDLER with us. Within 90 minutes NO business was harmed yet I was out $433. I can't wait to read the standard robotic response to this review. ***** on the owners of this criminal activity.Reservation Counter, LLC

1 starPeople need to be aware of this third party reservation company. They imitate hotel property websites (very convincingly) and mislead customers into thinking they are booking with the hotel. Then they will leave off your last night after you've booked. When you cancel the reservation thinking you made a mistake they charge your credit card and will not refund you. They have non existent customer service. Please everyone be aware of scammers like this company. That have already had an *** investigation regarding misleading customers.Reservation Counter, LLC

1 starBe cautious when making online reservations. The company Reservation Counter often appears as the top choice for major hotel chains, such as Hilton. However, it is crucial not to book with them. They have been accused of fraudulent practices. Many customers, including myself, have been misled into believing they were booking directly with a hotel, only to find out after receiving a confirmation that the booking was through Reservation Counter. Upon cancellation, they claimed a partial fee would be charged, but instead, a substantial amount was deducted. For instance, from a total fee of $620, only $53 was refunded. When questioned about the excessive 95% deduction, they cited it as their policy. Attempts to reinstate the reservation were unsuccessful, leading to further frustration. It is imperative for consumers to verify they are on the actual hotel's website and not inadvertently on Reservation Counter's site. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! l ************Reservation Counter, LLC

1 starWarning! Do not use this site for booking reservations. First of all, you get charged & the rate is more expensive. The primary issue is they failed to pay the hotel, so the hotel charged my card. I paid twice for the same room, same night. It has taken me a week to talk to ************* I have to wait for another week for someone to review my case - no, they are not issuing a refund in a week, just reviewing my case. Seems like a scam.Reservation Counter, LLC
