      Reservation Counter has a No Cancellation policy regardless of your travel plans changing ( which these do change). YOU ARE BILLED THE ENTIRE COST OF THE BOOKING PLUS $14.00 if you try to cancel. Completely unethical since the company name is not advised upfront (they talk and behave like they are the hotel), the cancelation policy is not advised upfront, NOR DOES THIS COMPANY ADVISE THAT THEY ARE A 3RD PARTY SITE (instead pretending to look up company rates and then advising there are no more rooms left for that rate). Complete SCAM.

They set the terms and conditions for each reservation. Often, the bookings are nonrefundable to lock in a special rate.       Terrible company, do not use at all costs. I clicked ************** on ****** for a hotel and did not realize the link called ReservationCounter.com. They even replied yes when I asked if it was the actual hotel. They lied about the rate and even booked my room under a completely different name. Sketchy business practice

      This the worst booking system in the world.It changed my date from 10/21 - 10/23 for 2 nights to 10/2 - 10/3 for one night.,I found out when I received the confirmation email. I called back right away and tried to explain and rebook for 2 nights stay on the right dates that I wated, but got "no" for answer.Who wiould reserve hotel while was 500 miles away for the same night?I lost $ 114 for one night. reservation because the mistake of the system.I used other booking system and got the right date and number of 2 night stay for only $153.If possible, I still hope you can return my reservation money, you may said that was my fault for not checking before book, but why your system can't type it right?

      This company should be shut down - totally disreputable and unprofessional. I was trying to make a reservation at a hotel my workplace uses frequently. I told them the type of room I wanted, and the agent proceeded to ask what type of amenities I wanted; I've never been asked this question when booking a room. When I asked what amenities came with the room, the agent said he needed to check and put me on hold. Then he quoted me the price, including taxes and fees, which was $100 more than we paid when booking the same type of room directly with the hotel only six months ago. When I told him this, he attributed it to inflation, then said he wished his paycheck would increase too. After I gave him the information to book the room, he put me on hold yet again, then told me that this type of room was not available after all. He then told me another type of room was available, but would cost more (of course). Having dealt directly with the hotel several times in the past for similar functions, I knew for certain there was no way that the type of room we usually book was unavailable this far in advance. I immediately became suspicious and told him to disregard everything, and that I was going to call the hotel directly. He kept trying to get me to secure a room, and told me if I found a better price elsewhere, I could call back to cancel. At this point, he already had the credit card information. I told him at least three times that I did not want to secure a room and not to charge the credit card. He then said that if I did not secure a room, the price may increase if I decided to reserve later. He also said we could pay more going directly through the hotel. I then called the hotel directly and made a reservation for the type of room we usually book (and yes, there were plenty of those rooms left). And the price was exactly the same we paid six months ago. I also relayed my experience to the hotel.

      When I arrived at the hotel that my reservation was for, I was unable to check-in because the computer system was down. I was asked to go to a neighboring hotel to get a room. I was still billed for a room from this company even though I did not stay at this hotel. I have called 3 times and have been told they need authorization from their "supplier". When asked who the supplier was, I was told that is confidential information. The last thing ReservationDesk.com told me was that they expect a supervisor to review the claim in ***** business hours. I even asked "Do you mean ***** hours or business hours? As in an 8 hour work day?". The representative then said again, "Yes, business hours."That is 6-9 days from now and I have already been waiting 20 days for them to review my claim.

      Fraudulent from the start. One thinks one is actually booking through the reservation desk at the hotel. At checkout from a hotel near ******************** I found that the actual cost of the rooms was 67% less than the amount charged by this business. After speaking with 2 representatives of Reservation.com, and numerous emails, it seems that the business is either unwilling or unable to provide a detailed, itemized list of their "fees". Apparently, these fees are from their suppliers - agents such as booking.com. Wow. Should have gone with booking.com for hundreds less.This is a fraudulent and shameful business. I will never use again.

      Thank you for your review and sharing your experience. As an independent travel agency, we purchase our inventory from multiple hotel partners and suppliers. This inventory is purchased in bulk at a discounted rate, specifically for resale purposes. When this bulk purchase is made, the taxes and fees have already been added to the reservations by the hotel suppliers and are not itemized when we receive them. Your total price includes all the taxes and fees required to complete your reservation. We do not have this information as it was not provided to us therefore we cannot pass the information on to the consumer. We do apologize for any inconvenience.       my reservaition was never finished was lied to by first rep i wanted 4 days he priced it at ****** total res.the first 2 nights said he had to do them seperate told to hold and got disconected called back 2nd rep very rude would not honor first reps deal said he lied is prob why he hung up .. also ***** rep said no aditional charges at resort .. second rep said he lied about that also ..reservaition

      Complete rip off. Mis-representes self as hotel. Over billed by 41%. RIP OFF My bill at checkout from Hampton Inn was $152.20 vs. ReseverationCounter.com at time of booking $215.44 with included hidden fees plus a service fee. MISLEADING, SCAM, RIP OFF.
