      On June 9th, I hired Hawx Pest Control to spray my home for insects. They came out to provide their service the following week. I quickly noticed that I still had an insect problem and notified them right away. They came out again to respray and again the issues with the bugs continued. I called to notify them that I wanted to cancel my account, which is when they explained that there was a cancellation fee. I mentioned that the sales person did not explain that to me and instead told me that their service was guaranteed and that I could cancel at any time. I have been going back and forth with them over this issue. I do not feel that I should be obligated to pay a cancellation fee when I was misinformed by their salesman. I also haven't received the service I was promised. I have already paid over $150, which covers the cost for their service. There is no reason for me to pay a cancellation fee if I am cancelling for lack of service.

      Door to door salesperson blatently lied about amount that would be charged for service. When I called to cancel the service due to a charge that I didn't agree to, I was told that I was in a contract and an early termination fee was necessary to cancel. After going on to their site to write a review and reading what others had written, it is clear that their standard business practices are to lie and deceive their customers and overcharge for services. Very shady and unprofessional.

      June-october I was charged without consent of a contract. When I called them they said they could cancel my contract for $200.00. I never received service and can't get a refund

Your first services was on June 17.  We charge monthly instead of a larger quarterly payment. You had not paid your monthly fee until September. There for you were not able to receive any services due to an outstanding balance. You had been all caught up with the monthly billing on October 16 and should have been scheduled after that.  We will be able to refund you for the payment made in the month of October for $85.52. Please keep in mind it could take five to seven business days to reach your account. Your account is closed and you will no longer receive services.       We signed up with Hawx in August due to an ant infestation in our front and back yard. Their salesman promised to treat the entire property from end to end, and cancellation in the first 3 months would result in a 199 charge.First treatment, the technician only spot treated. He barely slept down the house of the spider webs. I called and complained, they gave a Supervisor contact info who sent another tech out within a week...who also spot treated (on camera) . Called, customer service got an attitude and stated "Well I don't have cameras like you do" so we called the Supervisor again. After being in contact several times with the Supervisor, a Third technician came out and treated the entire property. Over the following 3 months there was no reduction in pest activity (outside normal seasonal).Called 11/1 to cancel. Explained 6 times we wanted to cancel. Representative stated there's a note of ********* ant activity, which was not treated for(no explanation of why not, since that's why they were hired originally) threatened with a 199 fee(despite having completed the agreed upon 3 month minimum). After call received an email stating service was still active.

      I encourage you to look at all the other reviews for Hawx on this website. Everyones situation is very similar. In my case, I was bait and switched into signing a year long contract, to which they only came out and sprayed 4 times the whole year. After calling to try to cancel, to no avail, I sucked it up and paid the whole **** year anyways because it was my own fault for being tricked by the salesman. After a year however, I called and cancelled my service, which is extremely difficult to do with Hawx, and involves several transfers and hours on hold. Instead of canceling my service, they extended it! I called back a month later after getting a bill for a service I cancelled and also they still never came out and did anything, they told me that I had told them to extend it over the phone instead of cancelling it!!! After several more phone calls and weeks passing, they finally cancelled my service but still call me everyday trying to collect the money from the 2 months of no service they provided while they were super busy pressing the cancel button on their end. I am not giving this company another dime. Theyve stolen over a thousand dollars from me already and are not stealing another *****. I demanded my policy be cancelled at the end of July 2023 when my year expired, I do not want to pay for anything after that because its wrong and I did not ask for that. This company should be shut down, every review on this website for them involves the same shady tricks.Please help me before these thieves send an agency my way and tanks my credit. Holidays are here and we have children, I really dont the Hawx ********** instead over my head. Thank you for any help you can give me.

      Over the past 18 months, we have paid the vendor for pest control. They provided services we were not happy with and I have attempted to cancel multiple times throughout the past 3 months, for which we are still being charged. I have had to resort to using my financial institution in order to provide financial relief while trying to combat this company. All that I have asked is to cancel the services, to which there is no contract, and to have the company quit drawing funds out of my account.

      Assuming the company didn’t screw this up too and the account is actually closed,


      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      Also had my sick wife call the number provided yesterday, and she’s still waiting for a callback after 24 hours. How about next time you provide multiple options or ask for more information instead of pointing everyone towards a dead end. If spouses can’t speak about the account, then change your policies to only take credit cards with the account holders name

      I have recently moved to Tallahassee. And bought a home. Previous owner had a pest control contract with a local company and I continued the contract with a 33$ month, In the mean time a man showed up at my front door and offered pest control service. I told him that I had one and I asked him is he from the same company and he said yes. And asked me to signe the contract to continue service, which I did so as he said he is from the same company. Then they charged me $49 for the month and is asking $49 for the remainder of the yearly contract. They are charging me $199 for a cancelation fee. Which they mis represented the truth and made me sign. This is wrong. I am an elderly, retired and a cancer patient. This is unethical.Hope somebody stop these people screwing others.

      I am rejecting this response because:My point is the person that knocked on my door and the person I talked to mis represented their company. When I asked them , they replied , they are from my original company” ****** **** *******” that I had contract with. Thus they got my signature on the contract. He did not have the Logo of the company on his cloths, he was wearing shorts and sleeveless T shirt and was on an electric two wheeler going up and down the street talking to residents. They wilfully misrepresented and dragged me into this scam. Hawks pests protection co is a Hocks. I need my cancellation fee $199 and another &49 they charged on my credit card that they did not render the service for the comming month. Account management lady abruptly disconnected my phone conversation. Never seen such a rude attitude. An apology and need my hard earned money back.

      We have been trying to get in contact with someone from Hawx for a year. We signed a contact stating we would pay a set fee quarterly (12 month minimum) which was $109 quarterly. After the 12 months, they began charging us an increased rate monthly of $65 a month. In our contract it states the quarterly payments at the previous amount would continue after the 12 month period. This changed with no notice, and no one would speak to us about this. We have now tried cancelling service for serval months. After calling them, they transfer to someone who deals with cancellations, but after sitting on hold for 3 hours, no one ever answers the phone. We have tried multiple times by phone. I submitted an email request with our concerns and request for cancellation. They stated someone with cancellations would call us. We have not received a call, and they charged my credit card for another monthly payment, after multiple requests to stop service.

      Continued to be billed after contract expired. No Service was provided after contract expired. I was approached by a teenager while I was working in my garage in July 2022 and convinced to sign a contract for pest control. After the contract expired, I received a notice that I owed them money for the next month (August 2023). Considering I hadn't agreed to any services after July 2023, and that I RECEIVED no services after the contract expired, I was under the impression that HAWX had no reason to continue to bill me. However, I continued to get monthly notices stating that I owed them money. I called to try to rectify this situation but was told I had to pay for monthly services despite the fact that I hadn't agreed to said services and no service was provided for these months outside of the contract. I demanded that these charges be dropped and told them I am no longer their customer. I continued to be billed. I called again in October as I received another notice that I was being billed and called again to specify that I haven't been a customer since our contract expired in August '23. I was told that the contract "automatically" renews unless their office receives written notice of cancellation, and that I owed them for service plus late fees. I once again informed them that I am not a customer of Hawx and asked why I am expected to pay them for unwanted service that they didn't provide. I have not received any intelligible response.

      This all started with a door to door salesman who talked with my wife about pest control. I told him we dont have a pest problem and he said its mainly a preventative control then. He told us several times it was twenty dollars a month. He asked me for a credit card saying that they would bill the credit card $20 a month. He took a picture of the card and asked some other information. He asked me to sign on his electronic pad. I asked why and he said for the authorization to charge your card. The next day a guy showed up in an unmarked truck with no uniform of identification telling me he was filling in for the regular guy who was sick. He was at our house for about forty five minutes. Never came in and basically walked around knocking down spiderwebs from the eves around the house. Then he told me he was done. I asked what he had done and he said he add put the micro chips in the yard and around the house. The next day I noticed they had charged my credit card $69.95. I was concerned but we decided maybe they had charged for three months. The next month they charged me $69.95 again. I called them and said you havent done anything and it was supposed to be $20 a month. I got nowhere with the woman so I put a stop payment on my credit card. Then a man called me from ****. He offered the service for $39 a month. I said no. I want to cancel. He said if you cancel it will cost you $299 to cancel. I said no. He said we got it in your contract you signed. I said I never saw a contract and I certainly didnt sign one. He said yes you did and we got a copy. It will cost you $299 to cancel. I hung up. Now the Hawx Pest control and they keep billing me $69.95 a month. They have not done any pest control here. I am really angry about this. I also am afraid they will try to damage my excellent credit rating. I need your help. This company is dishonest and crooked.

       I did not receive an email copy of the contract. I explained that the door to door salesman never mentioned a contract and he had it all on an electronic pad. He said signing was so they could have permission to charge you credit card. No. It was not viewed numerous times. That is untrue because it was never received. And. Explain the man coming in a plain truck, no uniform, never entering our house and and never spraying or putting down anything on the yard.   No one has been back  Your business never did anything for pest control, period. 
         I am not paying any cancellation fee. This is awful
