    I paid $3700 as an advance for work in my basement. The business took the money and isnt responding to my calls or messages.
    He kept postponing the start date of the work and not there's been no communication at all.
    I transferred the money via venmo and there is no written contract. Its a verbal agreement and I have screenshots of messages to prove the work.

    I hired this company to finish my basement July of 2024 they said they will need $15,150 upfront, I sent the owner $5000 through REMOVEDand a check for $10,150, the next day he told me the check bounced, I believe him and sent him another cashier check for the same amount $10,150, a few weeks later I was going through my bank statement and realized my balance was $25,300, I immediately called my bank and asked why my balance was $25,300 if I’ve only spent $15,150 of my Heloc account , that’s when they told me that (2) checks were cashed for $10,150 and another $5000 was withdrawn, I then called Pierre REMOVEDthe owner and asked him why he lied to me and said the check bounced and didn’t tell me he cashed both checks, he gave excuses and apologized, I told him to please give me back the the extra $10,150 and he refused and said he didn’t have it, I said fine just finish my basement, the contract stated completion in 10 weeks and here we are 9 months later and my basement is still not completed and owner Pierre REMOVEDstill refuses to refund my money, need help resolving this is why I’m contacting BBB, thanks!

    Hi, yes the client has paid me $25,300.00, the first $5000 he has sent me trough REMOVEDtransfer, following the $10,150 counter check that has bounced at the first time, the client ask me to redeposit it due to some misunderstanding on the bank for rounds since his money was at the heloc account, then he called me saying that the same check it will might bounced again cause he had been noted by his back that the check it will be bounce, so he asked me to to his house and get an cashiers check. I deposited one day or two later both checks amount was there in my account.  That clarified the $25,300. 
    I’ve been with some health issues that the client is aware which make all my jobs getting a lot of delays, (honestly he’s not the only client that is still in delay I do have another 2 other clients that are still from last one of them is prior to his project). Due to that, yes all my clients get mad, frustrated, and piss cause job has been paid and not a lot of barely work done. And im working out with them to get the jobs finished and the clients satisfied. I’m honest person and I will  give his money back, Thanks.
