1 starWanted to share my experience with Fox Pest Control.Moved from a different service I was basically happy with to them to save a little money and some additional services. I signed a 2 year contract with them that had a $199.99 initial fee, a $54.99 monthly fee and a $150 early cancellation fee. I (verbally .. mea culpa) discussed the cancellation fee with the sales rep who stated if I had three issues that were not resolved, I could cancel without the cancellation fee.After the first treatment a few days later, I had a simple question regarding the treatment and the placement of bait boxes around the home. I provided my question in service feedback, an email and follow up email and a phone call. There was no response for more than 2 weeks. At this point, I cancelled the service figuring if they cant respond with a simple question in two weeks how could I trust them to show up if I need them between scheduled services if needed.Two days after I sent an email cancelling my service I received an email, "In order to maintain the privacy and security of your account, we will need you to call our office and speak to a manager before we can make any changes to your account." I called, spoke to a kind but powerless rep who checked with "her management" and then let me know I could cancel but they would not waive any of the fees.So I wound up paying $199 +$54.99 + $150 or about $400 for one, partially performed, treatment.I am also a real estate broker - my agents and I need partners who, not only do the job, but do the right things and communicate well with our clients. Fox does not meet that criteria.Maybe others have had great experiences wth Fox, but wanted to put this "data point" out there.
