      Fox Pest Spokane (referred to as Fox Pest herein) dispatched a door-to-door representative to a client's home in Post Falls, ID and lied to the homeowner in order to obtain an agreement for pest control services. Fox Pest provided a single treatment in May of 2025 (on or about May 5th, 2025) that was ineffective to treat pests (bugs). Fox Pest received multiple automatic payments from the homeowner totaling $302.52 from May 2025 to August 2025 while failing to perform further pest control treatments beyond the initial treatment in May of 2025. When Fox Pest was informed in writing of how their representative lied to the homeowner, a senior citizen, to obtain an agreement through deception and their subsequent breach of the agreement by failing to provide pest control treatments, Fox Pest then immediately began harassing the homeowner for a $250 'cancellation fee'. Fox Pest has failed to provide any explanation for their dishonest business practices to include why they are attempting to extort a senior citizen homeowner for money they haven't earned. There was no offer to refund the homeowner's payments in any amount up to $302.52 despite the failure of Fox Pest to provide pest control treatments beyond their initial (and only) ineffective treatment in May of 2025.

      The homeowner's desired resolution through the BBB is for Fox Pest to immediately cancel this $250 'cancellation fee' no later than September 17th, 2025 and cease all further harassment of the homeowner (i.e., cease all contact with the homeowner to include through digital means). Fox Pest is requested to refund the homeowner's $302.52 should Fox Pest wish to demonstrate they are not scammers.

We have closed her account as requested and waived the early termination fee. We also refunded her August and September subscription fees. No further treatments or charges will occur. A paper invoice was mailed from our office on 9/9, but Ms. ******** can disregard this statement. We hope these actions will set her mind at ease, and we encourage her to contact our office if we can provide any other assistance.

      I am rejecting this response because: Again, Fox pest control of Spokane was not truthful, they refunded me nothing, I only canceled my debit card before they could deduct any further charges, that being August 30 charge and they attempted to deduct my debt card for $250.00 cancellation fee. I end paying Fox of Spokane $302.52 for one treatment applied May 1, 2025.  

      Fox failed showing up for August application, no call, no notice.   When I called their office, office assistant said my treatment was canceled due to lack of employees. I then, informed her, they gave zero notice, just canceled my contract.  I asked talking to supervisor , no return call, I had to call again.  Multiple insects were noticed around my home, questioning May 1 application did any good at all.   Many persons in Post Falls, eastern Washington State said they had the same experience, Fox is there once and that's it, no shows for further treatments.

      This has been a bad experience all the way around.  Door-to-door salesman, May 1 said 'your neighbor signed with us',  supervisor said 'only one complaint with BBB' supervisor said 'we really didn't commit when we'll be there'  all untruths.  They conducted themselves in a very unprofessional manner, no legitimate business should operate this way.  In my view, breech of control was on their end. 

      Finally, I want no further contact with Fox and only want issuing a warning, no other customers become trapped in a contract, debt card open to such business. As a senior citizen with health issues, upcoming surgery, the stress has been difficult.

      I think I’ve been scammed by this company. It’s all over the Internet. They made me cancel my current Pest Control business. He was very persistent. My kids answered the door and he asked to go get their mother I came. It was wild and I just felt like I had to say yes because he wouldn’t stop talking..

      This company has regularly sent extremely aggressive sales people to my neighborhood over the last year. 9//6/2025 is the most recent issue but far from the only one. The sales person does not have a license to solicit here, ignored a no soliciting signs (violating city code) and when told no continued to push and even tried to physically step up towards us, about to cross the threshold of the front door. This is not the only time this has happened. The company has been informed and says they will change their policies every time, but the same thing happens again. This time when told to leave, the salesperson gleefully taunted that they would be “harassing our neighbors too.” They know what they are doing and do not care. I have seen them look in windows, yell at neighbors, and lie to get anyone’s business (they insist our whole neighborhood uses them to pressure us but we 100% know who our neighbors use). Our local office has tons of similar complaints in their reviews and nothing has been done. This company is crooked, aggressive, and is becoming a genuine safety issue in my neighborhood.

      Fox Pest Control continually ignores no solicitation signage on our business. This is very disruptive to our business, to have to stop and answer the door, just to tell them to go away. If it continues we will file harassment charge with the *********************** against Fox Pest Control.

      This company is charging monthly for a service that was never performed. They never came out during summer months for treatment. All that needs to be done is cancel the service. I have been getting a runaround for this to happen. They need to close this account.

Under this plan, full pest control services are performed every 3 months and targeted follow up treatments are available upon request to take care of any ongoing pest issues. ******* initial service was performed June 12th, which put his second treatment due in September. Our office has been trying to reach ***** to clarify this schedule and address any other questions or concerns. If he still wishes to discontinue the service, we can assist him with this, but he will be responsible for the early termination fee described in his Service Agreement.       I am rejecting this response because:     When I signed up I told the kid that was at the door it needs to be done monthly during the summer months. Also found out door to door sales  in our township needs a permit. I did cancel this contract multiple times and was told they can’t do that for security reasons that I have to call which makes no sense. I don’t care about the cancellation fees its worth it to be done with this company. Just cancel it and send the fees.

      Began contract on 05/12/2025, we have not had any luck with communication, I have emailed the company almost every month since we started this service with no reply. The pest has not got any better matter of fact much worse. And I cannot justify paying them monthly for either service that is not being done, or at least not effective or satisfactory and with absolutely no response or customer service.

      They are selling door to door monthly pest control plans. They are very high pressure. They will not take no for an answer and they will not leave. They come knock on your door at 9:00 at night. They are required to wear a photo ID issued by ******************************. They failed to show up for a treatment and will not release me from the 18 month contract. They give misleading information. I called the next day to get out of the contract and they said they would now they will not.

      I hired Fox Pest Control with local business address in **********, ** to come to my home in *******, ** on July 28th, 2025 in order to remove a wasp nest from the inside of the fireplace mantel/chimney area in our living room. The technician removed the nest efficiently and quickly. The charge was $325. He did state that as the wasps return to the nest, they would die and drop to the floor, and that this could continue for a few days. After 3 weeks (August 18th as of this writing), there are still live wasps falling to the floor. I called them to see if this should be continuing after 3 weeks and they told me that they would need to come back as they may have built a new nest and that they would need to bill me again for a return trip. I feel that if they had thoroughly done their job correctly the first time that the wasps would not have returned to the same location, and that they should retreat the area free of charge.

      I hired Fox Pest Control for services. I paid them with a check #**** for $49.00. I was adamant my checking account was not to be used for payment. I called the office and gave them my credit card number. I made initial payment with check #****. On 7/25/25 an auto payment for $49.99 was taken out of my checking account without my consent. On 8/18/25 an automatic payment of $49.00 was taken out of my checking account without my consent. I called Fox Pest Control several times today. Spoke with manager **** ***** (or *****) about the charges. He only saw 2 payments from me. We got disconnected and he didnt call me back. I called ****************. They confirmed the automatic payments referenced above. They start a claim to contest the payments and blocked merchant from taking automatic payments from my checking account. Total amount taken from my account without my consent is $98.99 .

      We have had Fox Pest Control knock on our door and try to solicit our business 5 different times within 6 weeks. On one occasion, they tried twice in one day. Some of these attempts are later in the evening.
      We have repeatedly told them we are not interested and not to return.
      My husband and I are both disabled/very serious health issues and sometimes we are resting or it is difficult to get to the door.
      Additionally, some of these salesmen are quite persistent.
      This same company solicited at my daughter's house and were quite pushy and frightened her.
      We need them to quit bothering us as we have asked repeatedly.
      How can we get them to respect our wishes and privacy?
