REMOVEDentered into a one-year agreement with HSI Workplace Compliance Solutions on March 26, 2024, for its EHS Essentials software platform at a fixed cost of $6,000. The signed Order Form makes no mention of any auto-renewal terms, cancellation deadlines, or future price REMOVEDFebruary 2025, we notified HSI in writing that we would not be continuing the service. Despite this, HSI refused to honor our cancellation and claimed the contract had auto-renewed based on terms buried in a hyperlink (REMOVED) that were never presented, reviewed, or signed at the time of agreement. These alleged terms stated that we needed to cancel at least 60 days prior to renewal a deadline HSI never made us aware of until after our written REMOVEDfurther complicate matters:HSI raised the annual fee from $6,000 to $6,300 without notice, consent, or any signed amendment a material change to the agreement. They sent the invoice on February 26, 2025, after the supposed 60-day cancellation window had already passed, leaving no reasonable opportunity for Trilogy to cancel under their claimed policy.HSI then escalated the dispute to legal collections and attempted to charge an additional $1,290.36 in legal fees, despite no legal action being filed and the only legal contact being a single email from an attorney.Additionally, HSIs communication was directed exclusively to our HSE Manager someone who did not sign the agreement and was not authorized to make financial or contractual decisions. They failed to notify or contact Trilogys CEO, the person who signed the agreement, until the matter had already been escalated to collections. All of these actions appear coercive, excessive, and deceptive and do not reflect fair business conduct. We made good-faith efforts to cancel, and HSI's refusal to honor that while layering on hidden terms, increased fees, and inflated legal charges is unacceptable.
