I purchased a vehicle August 15th that was financed by Santander. My first payment was due October 7th 2024 for $477.00. I paid my first payment on September 4th 2024 for $595. There system shows that they accepted the payment but there not crediting it to my account and have assessed a late fee. The payment was not reversed, bounced, was not dishonored etc. This has accumulated additional interest and fees on the account. I am also now going to make an additional payment so the account is not past due even though it should not be.Business Response

I have an account with the company, in April of 2024 the car was repo due to past due payments. I then made a payment to the company on April ******* in the amount of ******** which it does not show in my payment history. How the company charged my car to the credit bureaus. I have been about to see that there are 2 payments not showing in payment history. The company is currently notifying that the car is up for repo again and not allowing me to make partial payments on the car to bring myself current.Business Response

I paid off this car in August. Apparently they can only take so much money on the *** which I was never informed of. So while Im thinking, my car is paid off. They are charging me simple interest for four months that shouldnt have happened and each one of those payments is $457.52 and I was trying to be fair with them and say Ill pay one or two, but I shouldnt be responsible for all of these since I was told the car was paid off back in August August 23 to be exact. Every customer service Ive person Ive talked to has either hung up on me or not known what theyre doing. They need more training and they need to know what theyre doing. Told me I didnt just make a payment that I made two minutes ago, so this is getting out of hand theyre taking food out of my mouth and out of those that are dependent on me. I hope they realize what theyre doing by extort people and predatory lending like theyre doing with interest rate no matter what if I pay off and I only owe a dollar , my payment is $457 that to me is highway robbery. On 10/14 I attempted to contact Santander to discuss the fact that I was affected by both hurricanes in ******* and unable to get through. I then contacted the chat, and they told me that I had to speak to someone and was hung up on and disconnected. That was the 3rd time the chat disconnected me because they were not able to help me. I have called this company 3 times explaining to them that I can no longer pay for a vehicle that they financed for me. The vehicle is overpriced and by the time the term is up I will be paying double for it. Each time that I have called, Ive asked them to come and get their property. My Account#: ********** I paid off my truck before the payment was due. They sent me a paper with zeroes on it. I sent them a check for $27,872.62. The bank said it will take 25 days to get my title. I still don**;t have my title. They said that we owe $631.69 but the truck was paid off. I got 3 confirmations that the truck was paid off. I would like my title from them asap.Business Response

I've been trying to terminate my lease early as I've found myself unemployed for two months now. I called Santander and got an estimate of 1500$ to terminate it, but then associates kept transferring me back and forth and I couldn't even get more info on how to proceed. I am rejecting this response because:
Santander tried to contact me twice while I was busy and couldnt take the call. The number provided to return the call is their regular number that takes me to an automated system and I can never reach who I need to. I need to either be contacted by emailto discuss the matter or set a time for the callor be provided a direct number, not a number thatll take me to an automated system. It feels like Santander is just trying to make this hard.
