I closed an account 7/2/25, I was told I would receive the $100 I had deposited and I have not received it. The company has been provided my bank information as they requested for this purpose and yet they have NOT returned my money.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I finally received the money and I sent an email that I had gotten it I think Monday? however the account was closed allowing NO further activity on it since 7/2 so this was very shady to keep drawing interest on mine and how many others deposits all that time? There is no excuse to hold someone's money that long.

In late June I saw Sent Financial online, and was about to get a loan with them. I filled out the information needed, including my bank account. The following day I decided not to get a loan with them, even though the information was filled out. The information filled out did not state there was a loan. I went to my bank recently and asked them to remove Self from having access to my account. They were removed that day, 07/02/******** Self keeps harassing me with emails I do not need, and today they sent me an email stating that I owe them $48 in 7 days, with no specific date on it.I have a copy of my bank statement stating that they never deposited a ***** into my account.I want them to leave me alone.I tried calling customer service and it wants you to put the last four digits of your social security number in. After hearing that the recording says "if this number is correct press 2." I didn't press the #2 button because I figured if I did they would have me trapped into something I did not get. They got my social security number from when I filled information out about a loan, even though I never did get the loan.Business Response

On May ******* as I was driving home. I saw a charge of $67.32 come across my phone. The charge was form Self. I called self to depute the charge. I called a few days later and was told I didn't have a dispute on file. I called again on the 30th of May and was told the same thing. I need to file a depute. I filed the dispute and was refunded the money back. On June 13th I saw that they took away my refund. I called them to ask why since I didn't make the charge band didn't know who did. I was in VA and the charge was somewhere else. I didn't make the charge nor did I give my card to anyone else. I work from home. I live alone. My name is ***** **** ******* and I am writing to report suspicious activity on my credit report. I did not open several of the accounts currently listed, including but not limited to accounts with CAP1 ********** Store, Credence Resource Manage, and I ************* I have also seen a large number of unauthorized credit inquiries that I did not initiate, mostly from auto lenders and finance companies in late 2024. I made my monthly payment of $39. But when I logged into my account I was notified that a payment still need to be made so thought maybe I forgot to schedule it. And I made another payment of $40. Once I realized that I made a double payment I tried to cancel but didnt not have the option. Called customer service to have them reverse the payment but they refused saying it was nothing that could be done. They are not able to refund a payment that has already posted to the account. I asked could it be credited to next month bill, I was denied because my billing cycle dont close til the 12th. And the payment was made on the 6th. I have multiple cards and have never heard of a company refusing to reverse a payment.Business Response

I had an account with them around 2022, which was closed. I check my credit reports and I have 2 accounts with them in collections, which I only had one and I don't understand how an account that I technically didn't get money from, that was CLOSED, can go into collections? That's crazy. I'm now cleaning off a few of the remainder items on my credit and saw they were on there. I sent disputes for the accounts but they are both still on there. I need you all to remove this from my credit with the negative marks because one it was years ago, and two, I did not have 2 accounts. Complaint Regarding SELF/SouthState Bank Account #****** also #****** I am filing this complaint due to repeated violations concerning a closed account from ************************************ (Account #******** This account was officially closed on July 1, 2023, yet continues to report late payments as recent as late 2024 to *********** after closure. This reporting is factually inaccurate and damaging.I have filed multiple disputes with Equifax, SELF, and the ***** but the account remains unchanged. I can provide confirmation numbers from all prior complaints if requested. Inconsistent Data:Account shows as closed on July 1, 2023, but last payment was after that on August 1, 2023 contradiction.If the account was closed, no further activity or payments should be reflected after the closure date Missing Payment Status Data:Payment status: No Info and Worst payment status: No Info are incomplete and fail to meet FCRA 1681s-2(a) which mandates furnishers report complete and accurate information.Post-Closure Delinquencies:The 2024 calendar shows additional red marks (late payments) even though the account was closed ************* violates FCRA 1681c(a)(5), which restricts how and what can be reported after an account is closed/charged off.Charge-Off Marking Without Clarity:The account is labeled as a charge-off, yet you report no balance due and no current payment obligation, which could indicate a ******************** addition, this account is reporting inconsistent account numbers across credit bureaus, further complicating resolution and violating FCRA 1681s-2(a) which requires furnishers to report accurate and consistent data, closed account still reporting late payments This situation reflects either gross negligence or willful noncompliance with federal law. In may of 2025 I ordered my sled credit card and never received it I called back to get updated information they sent out 2 more cards that were never received! Monday June 30th called ask to speak with supervisor and he stated I would get my new card expedited 2day fedx and I never received tracking information or anything .
