I was never provided a full disclosure of terms of my repayment agreement to Sedgwick for my long term disability claim. I was told by an examiner on a recorded phone call in Sedgwick call records that my overpayment due back to Sedgwick upon being approved for social security disability benefits would be no more than approximately $1000 to $2000. I was then told upon calling to pay the balance that my balance was over $19,000. Sedgwick and all of its employees that I have spoken with are denying me a copy of my signed repayment agreement. I have lost two checks through **** to Sedgwick because they dont offer an electronic payment option. I have stated on multiple recorded calls with them that I am not refusing to pay. I am, however, refusing to send another payment via **** because I cant afford to keep losing checks in the mail. I have spoken with supervisors with Sedgwick and even in a position of authority, they dont have any. I have pleaded with Sedgwick employees for help because this is affecting my mental health, which is the primary reason for my disability. I have been diagnosed with chronic PTSD with major depressive disorder and severe anxiety with panic attacks. With all of that being said, Sedgwick and its employees do not take into consideration their clients conditions, nor the fact that if not for their clients, then they wouldnt have a job.Initial Complaint

I have a medically opened comp case in ***. The case was handed over to Sedgwick. They require a prior authorization for all services I need. They have all been denied. I needed back surgery They say its not needed- I had emergency surgery. I have had "5" spine surgeries. I have an extremely competent Neurosurgeon and this insurance company told me ****************************** is NOT qualified to make these medical decisions!!! Really then who would be? I put in a prior auth for surgery and Sedgwick denied it becasue I didn't do PT first so we put in for PT and they denied it because I didn't have recent imaging and in fact I had an MRI within 2 months of that denial so we put in a PA for an MRI and they denied it because it wasn't medically necessary. It's a giant circle of bullshit!! I am becoming permanently disabled because of their constant denials. I have a professional 20+ year career that this insurance company is destroying. I also have commercial insurance that I pay out of pocket for but can not use because of this insurance company. Can't someone out there help? Isn't anyone able to investigate this company and why can't they be sued for pain and suffering they cause by denying everything? My doctor's ****** has repeatedly reached out to them and have gotten the same run around. Please Help!!! This injury is 10 years old I have had multiple surgeries to correct the problem and have always returned to work I have been dealing with this company for a year and have been out of work for just as long. My father had **** internet services installed at one of his homes in ************** 2 years ago and the tech severed the water line to the house during installation. We have a witness for the situation as well. Again, that was 2 years ago. My father has been talking to **** that whole time trying to get a refund for the damages (just shy of $600) and asked for my assistance (his son) in getting this taken care of because, again, it has been longer than 2 years. I get ahold of ************************* and I get a complaint filed finally after multiple phone calls and it gets turned over to **** Risk Management and this is where Sedgwick comes in. I have submitted all the required info and documents to them multiple times and there has been no resolution or response to our questions or phone calls. We have called multiple times and left multiple messages both with their phone system and online direct with Sedgwick and our reviewer *******************. At this point in time it has already taken over 2 years before I started to help and now it has taken almost an extra month on top of that all while no one will talk to either myself of my father. He recently received an ultimatum letter in the mail asking him for the same info we have provided multiple times and in a time period otherwise the claim will be closed. AGAIN we have tried constant contact AND uploading all pertinent information and pictures multiple times and still no resolution or contact.Initial Complaint

I recently had an issue with *********** rental car on a vacation, and attempted to file a claim for reimbursement for ****** in items destroyed by the condition of the rental vehicle. It took several days of calls and follow up to even file a claim which they said would be dealt with within ***** hours. I had to follow up again with Sedgwick, which put me in contact with ************************************. She immediately became combative, rude, and claimed that they would absolutely deny my claim for lack of any sort of proof. Then she said she was the wrong type of agent anyway and hung up.. She then called back 3 minutes later, told me my claim was denied because I didn't purchase baggage insurance - which doesn't cover damage due to the condition of the vehicle anyway. Sedgwick has failed to send me any documentation - that a case was opened, in progress, closed, denied, anything. The only contact was with an agent who admitted to not having all the details or knowledge to handle it and didn't want to go get those things. I am still seeking reimbursement of the ****** it cost to replace the items destroyed in the car, and an apology for **************************************** attitude, combativeness, lack of caring, and desire to simply get me off the phone without looking at the entire situation.Business Response

This complaint arises from a dispute related to a claim ********************* filed against our client, **** Budget Group.
A review of the claim file reveals that Sedgwick CMS has administered this claim in compliance with the laws and regulations governing the alleged loss.
Sedgwick CMS respectfully maintains that the Better Business Bureau online complaint resolution system is not the proper forum to respond to the allegations contained in **************** complaint.

All,I'm highly exasperated with this process and the services provided to me. The Examiner *************************** only responded once to my emails & never retuned my phone calls , and the Supervisor ******************************* never returned any of my calls. This is a bit odd when the emailed I received stated examiners are allowed 24hrs to return calls. In addition, the response I received the one time from *************************** was very unprofessional. This type of customer service is total unacceptable. Sedgwick Claims Management is operating as *********************** for claims of loss at Public Storage facilities.My claim was generated on March 20th following a break-in and theft at the Public Storage facility at **********************************************************************************************. The original Police report is: ***********.Upon receiving an initial appraisal for my stolen property, I submitted a challenge to the appraisal on a number of items with comparable evidence. I requested a review and adjustment of the appraisal and settlement offer.The original case agent was *********************** ****************************************** I received and submitted the Police Report on April 17 and I received the first appraisal / settlement offer on May 17. I responded with a request for a review of the appraisal on May 18th.I was referred / escalated to the supervisor, ***************************** ******************************************** on May 31st. I received no reply.I followed-up via e-mail on June 15th. On March 25, 2023, ***** technician came to my home to repair washer. He left a part unattached that shuts off water unbeknownst to me. When I started washer, it overflowed on my flooring damaging my vinyl. Another technician came out on the 28th and discovered that ***** technician had caused the problem. I contacted Sedgwick who is ***** claim **** and filed claim submitting all requested documents. No one has responded to emails, or phone calls and ***** cannot help me. **** damaged my property several times between 2021 and 2023. I have filed claims with Sedgwick provided the video of the crew damaging m property, photos of a line being hit by a semi and broke my gate and they refuse all communication. The email I was provided in the letter bounces back saying it is not able to accept emails and the phone they provided puts you on hold for 15 minutes and then tells you its not a manned line and auto disconnects. They have provided factually incorrect information about the at fault company despite having the correct information. They called and told me the actual name of the subcontractor that caused the initial fence/gate damage and then pretended to have no record of that. I also called and confirmed the correct name of the contractor company confirmed by the city on the permit and they still have the wrong company listed and will not respond to any form of communication.I would like a phone call and my fence, gate, and retaining wall repairedInitial Complaint

I purchased a car stereo from Best Buy and had them install it in my car. In February 2023 I started my car, the entire dashboard lit up, and the error messages started pouring out. The Best Buy installers spliced a wire onto the CANbus system for power to the new stereo. This brought on the problems with my car.I proceeded to my local Best Buy retailer. They were especially helpful. They filled out a claim form for submission to the Best Buy claim unit at Sedgwick Claim Management Services. Sedgwick initially sent me the name of the claim manager and my cliam number. It's been since March of 2023 and I have heard from them once. They have been non-responsive to phone calls and e-mail. My local Best Buy can't even reach them.It has now been over 5 months of getting nothing done. I need BBB to get Sedgwick to pay for the repairs to my car. The estimate was $4,000-$5,000 mainly because of labor.My claim number with Sedgwick is 4A2303Q11VL-0001. The claims manager is supposed to be *************************.
