1 starIngramSpark's customer service is a JOKE!
I uploaded a book on April 12 and as of today, May 30, I still do not have a cover photo showing on my ****** listing.
It has taken up to 12 days to get a response from a customer service ticket and each time I'm told to be patient. Or it can take up to 30 days for a cover to be live.
The cover is live on all other sites, yet they refuse to provide any assistance and repeatedly tell me they are busy and I will have to be patient and just wait for it to resolve itself.
Their service staff are not empowered or equipped to act outside of specific scripting and nothing ever gets fixed.
****** will allow up to 10 categories for your book, but Ingram limits you to 2 very broad categories, When asking to get categories updated, they say to do it yourself. ****** is unable to update categories due to its agreement with Ingram.
If you're trying to hit ****** #1 best seller, you hold no chance with the level of categories you can choose from in their system.
I had questions about reports and payment, they said they would have someone review my account and if they believed there was a discrepancy they would have someone contact me. So I'm sure I'll never hear a thing about proper compensation. ;-(
They make it difficult to want to do business with them. There is no resource for lack of response.
If you're an Indy author...buyer beware!
There has to be a better alternative out there!IngramSpark

1 starI have a message on my newly set up account saying it will be ready in 3-5 business days. But it has been saying that now for over 2 weeks! I have sent messages through the platform asking for help but received no reply. I am hoping someone may reply to this. In the meantime I am considering going elsewhereIngramSpark

1 starAfter IngramSpark raised its printing prices, I had to increase the price of my book to avoid what IngramSpark calls "negative publisher compensation." I had to upload a new print cover because I had the original price on the bar code. That cost me $25, but, oh well, I paid it. Then IngramSpark sent me a message that the cover did not conform to requirements, and that I should use their cover template generator. But I HAD used their cover template. Since my book was taken out of print pending a completed coverupload, I re-created the cover from their template again and uploaded it--again. However, IngramSpark's software won't let me continue with the process until I pay ANOTHER $25 for uploading the cover. This sounds like a scam: I pay $25 to upload the cover, they say the cover doesn't conform (with no additional detail), I follow all their steps and upload the cover again, and they charge me another $25. Over and over.
When I uploaded my first book to IngramSpark in April 2020, the process went relatively smoothly. Every experience since then, approximately one book per year, has been worse.
For the current problem, which started on May 6 (it is now May 17), I have submitted two different email support requests, and replied several times to the semi-auto, completely unhelpful replies I've received. I tried calling their telephone number in Tennessee, but it is a automated loop with no option to speak to anyone. I've already sunk $125 into the "honor" of IngramSpark printing this book and taking a 55% discount on every book sold. I'm thinking of paying yet another $25 with the hope I can get the cover successfully uploaded on the next try, and then finding another distributor our local bookstores will work with. There are other options for indie authors, ones that do not charge for uploading books and don't skim as much off the top.IngramSpark

1 starThey are overcharging for shipping. Books are delivered via **** Media Mail. However, they do not offer Media Mail as an option on their website. They charge you for “basic shipping” which increases in price depending on how many books you add to your order. Then, they ship your order via Media Mail which is much lower in price. Not sure how this is legal?IngramSpark

1 starI have emailed Ingram Spark three times over the last few weeks and have gotten NO RESPONSE!!! Their customer service seems to be nonexistent. I need to make a simple change in the proceeds payment, as I'm donating my proceeds to charity, and they are not helping me!!!
Very frustrating! If you want to have customer service, I recommend you go elsewhere.IngramSpark

The publisher wants us to deposit all of their pub comp to a charity. We are following up to explain that they’d need to update the payment details in their IngramSpark account in order for us to deposit future payments into a different checking accountReview fromJJ K

1 starAny contact that does not publish their phone number is suspect. The sole basis for support is via email in which the response time is greater than 7 days. They have printed my book incorrectly on multiple occasions printing not only my manuscript but adding Spanish language books to the back of my book after the Table of Contents. Haven't gotten no response from the company in over 7 days. Highly disappointing.IngramSpark

1 starAVOID!! AVOID!! AVOID!! Support is USELESS!!! Transferring from ********* ****** to IngramSpark is a nightmare! I wish I had read the reviews before transferring to IngramSpark!
I received a gift book and bag after transferring to IngramSpark, but no one in Help Support will tell me anything about how to access my new account with IngramSpark. All they do is send the same e-mail over again and send me a link on my help ticket that I cannot access without an account name and password, which they have never sent me! And refuse to tell me how to access. So, what good is Help Support??? NOT AT ALL!!!
What Help Support Sends by e-mail below:
Thank you for contacting IngramSpark.
Your request (*******) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff. We look forward to helping you and, in the meantime, we recommend checking out our help center for the answer to your question:
I will not post the link, which may not be allowed,
______________________
Their help center does not answer my question! Their suggested links do not answer my question! There is no way to contact anyone in any other way. I wish I had never transferred my longstanding account with ********* ******! All I can do now is move all my books to **********. What a POOR Welcome experience!!! Indeed, as other reviewers have noted you will not be helped by "Help Support"!!!
"My Experience" has gone on for more than one week! On February 23, they sent me a Welcome E-Mail promising access to Free Publishing Resources that I cannot access because they will not send me my new account information! What POOR Management!!! Transfer from ********* ****** at your own risk!IngramSpark
Date: 03/07/2023
This publisher migrated their ********* ****** account to IngramSpark. After the account was migrated, the publisher didn’t realize they would need to log in at myaccount.ingramspark.com going forward. This was explained to them on 3/2. This is now resolved.Review fromChrystal N.

1 starI have ordered a hardcover version of my book 8x5 since June which has not published. They keep saying that I have not used their template which I did and it is 9x6 which the template says 8x5. Keep getting the same emails and no further of getting the book published. Takes them 3 days to continue to tell me I did NOT use their template even though I screened-shot it. Will not use again.IngramSpark

Since this comment a supervisor emailed me. ( three days ago) I sent her the same files as well as reuploaded them. They still have not processed it. Instead it says
'Revision is INCOMPLETE' which was an automated email that was sent at 7:30 last night. Although I continue to redo the cover using their specifications. Interesting since my files are dated past the email, and they have marked the book I am working on that way. Again this process started back in June and it has not yet been published for the first time. (9 Months) and it has not been settled.Review fromOlga M
