1 starI used to be a big supporter of IngramSpark. But this latest book experience has been nothing but a nightmare. Support is so bad, and takes so long, that it could be categorized as nonexistent. When they do get around to responding, they only use canned AI responses to kick the problem along without actually doing anything to fix it. No matter how many conversations I had with different "support agents" it was the same result. Not only that, they are still holding my print files hostage so I can't publish with another distributor because the ISBN is technically in use. We are approaching a month past my actual launch date and I still have no print book to offer. Worst. Experience. Ever.IngramSpark

1 starI published a hard back picture book with Ingram Spark in 2023. I found out today they charged me 528 dollars on an unauthorized charge and have been taking money out of my account without my consent for no reason and not sending me emails about the charges. When I tried to contact them they don’t respond to the emails and have no customer service phone number. I do not recommend this company and am looking into getting lawyer about the situation. I had to file a fraud case with my bank.IngramSpark

1 starThey have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I wasted a lot of time jumping through the various hoops they put up, only to have one of the unqualified ****** on the other side of the world that they outsource their rights review to tell me I didn't have the rights to work even after submitting a rights reversion agreement and a my copyright registration. They wouldn't say what they were flagging or why. Moreover, at every step they said they would get back to me in 3-5 business days, only for me to finally follow up two months later. They are an unqualified bunch of hacks.IngramSpark

1 starExtremely disappointed with their "customer service " and lack of direct communication. Multiple emails back and forth have given me nothing but word salad and no concrete information. I'm asking a simple question, but the individual who is responding to me seems to be giving me purposely vacuous responses, no matter how I pose the question, often turning the topic to unrelated issues. Since email seems to be the only way to communicate with them, it seems I am destined to not get an answer.
My last response informed me that my issue would require the "next level of customer support", which, according to most reviews online, means they are going to ignore me from now on. Charming. Avoid this company if at all possible, unless you enjoy wasting time with frustrating people.IngramSpark

1 starI am filing a formal complaint against IngramSpark for withholding my earned royalties and falsely claiming that I owe money due to returned books. My account and an IngramSpark representative confirmed that I would receive my royalties at the end of January 2025. However, after waiting until mid-February 2025 to check, I found my account had a negative balance instead of a payment.
IngramSpark claims that 14 books were returned but refuses to disclose which company returned them. They also admit they cannot see the transaction on their end or provide proof of a purchase order for these supposed returns. This lack of transparency raises serious concerns about their business practices.
I have spent hundreds of dollars ordering and marketing my own books, yet IngramSpark has failed to pay me for verified online sales. Instead, they are unjustly withholding my earnings and demanding payment for returns they cannot substantiate. I have even viewed two pages (screenshot for proof) of my royalties and another page to supposedly pay, and they both are green, displaying that I do not owe anything. Additionally, they claim I cannot receive an invoice of purchases until I pay a fee—yet my account reflects that I owe nothing. This is deceptive and exploitative behavior that takes advantage of authors.
I am requesting immediate resolution, including:
-A full breakdown of my sales, returns, and withheld royalties.
-Proof of the alleged returned books, including purchase order details.
-Immediate release of all royalties owed to me.
The behavior of this company is not only deceptive, it is revolting. To authors researching companies, please take heed and read all of these comments about our experiences. Do not conduct business with this company.IngramSpark

2 starsI will never use IngramSpark again due to lack of assistance, long delays, difficult to load photo content.
I used them for several books I have published over the past two years, as they seemed to be the most cost effective. They used to be a decent company, but not in the last quarter of the year. My 2nd to last book printing was delayed, understandably due to weather. But a company representative helped a bit to expedite.
I submitted my Christmas book to them for printing Nov. 15, checking usual standard shipping & printing, based on what the number of days for service stated at that time. I never had such a backlog with this company before. I expected my books around Dec. 1. I keep checking and the books have not even shipped yet. Their latest promise is the books will not ship until Dec. 10. By the time they arrive my Christmas book events will be done. They will not cancel this job, refuse to expedite, stating they are very backlogged. After I submitted my order they changed the service times without informing anyone. I am beyond frustrated as I had to pay double for a local company to print to have a few model books as people are requesting to purchase. By the time the books finally arrive, over one month later, they will be useless to me until next fall.
Also on my other book we had photos and it took multiple tries for my formatter to get the books accepted, even following Ingram's guidelines.
Better to use another company that has in-house printing and service, and that will adhere to their stated service time, or at least try to assist customers.IngramSpark

1 starI was referred to IngramSpark by a fellow author friend who had good results with the company. After taking her word, I decided to entrust the publishing of my two books (my babies) with this company. Wow, do I regret my experience. Since my two books (e-book & paperback) were released in August 2024, I have not received one dime from this company from book revenue. Let me repeat myself, not ONE DIME has been released to me. I have sent them three emails regarding this, and they continue to send me AI-generated responses referring me to articles to read. Well, how good is this customer service? It's not customer service at all. In addition, before writing them, I decided to call them, and this is the confusion starts. Who are you IngramSpark? No, I mean, really who are you? When I spoke with the initial phone rep, they said it wasn't IngramSpark and I needed to call another number and I'm, saying to myself "well that's what you're showing online." Then, you call that number, and they said that it's not the right number. Then, you're given another number to call, and they say that they are only available from 10a-2p. Who decided on these hours?!!! That's crazy and unrealistic. On top of that, when you finally speak with someone they are calling from overseas and the language barrier and scripted responses cannot solve my problem. This is so confusing and unprofessional. IngramSpark, you need to get my books on customer service because you're not demonstrating it. I am a customer service coach, and I teach businesses how and how not to treat customers. You are frustrating the very people that entrusted their business with you. Your reviews here are not good. People have come to you because they had written works that they wanted to share with the world. I want my hard-earned book revenue released to me now. Your poor customer service practices are frustrating, and I have yet to hear a direct response from a real person regarding when I should expect my book revenue.IngramSpark
