RDAC has completed its investigation, and the results are as follows. Mr. ******** complaint addresses Cedars Business Servies, LLC and not RDAC, however ****************** does have an account in our office.
Mr. ******** account was placed with RDAC for collection by RDACs client, Columns at Westchase on November 1, 2023, with a balance of $437.72.On November 2, 2023, RDAC mailed its initial collection letter to ****************** at his last known address: ***************************************. That letter included the required notice of validation rights pursuant to section 809 of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and was not returned as undeliverable to RDAC by the ********************
On December 2, 2023, RDAC reported Mr. ******** account to the three national consumer reporting agencies (Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax) (****) with permission from our client, Columns at *********.
On August 11, 2024, ****************** authorized a payment of $437.72 to pay this account in full. ******************** will send a request to the **** to update Mr.******** trade line with RDACs next reporting cycle to reflect a zero balance and that the account was paid in full. RDAC is currently unable to remove this trade line from Mr. ******** consumer reports, as it is RDACs responsibility as a data furnisher under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) that RDAC report true and accurate information to the ****.

I left ******** apts in February of 2022. They turned in a debt to rent debt. They said I ow them ******. I told rent debt that EdgewoodcApts was to slide the pet deposit they charged me over to cover the remaining rent for ******* since my animals were Service Animals. They couldnt keep it. They said it was a one time pet fee. They still cant keep it. I tried to negotiate the remaining amount. I was told this was too new of a debt and they wouldn't accept it. In the scan I sent to Rent-debt, I also had included the animal addendum which shows the $300 non refundable pet fee and also the concession I gave her at move in that said if she moved out before the end of her lease- that concession would be void and due and payable.
