A few months ago, we switched to monthly payments via check. For some reason, they decided not to include the weekly $72.35 payments made. But on January 13th, I mailed a check for the amount of $135. There are mailing records to prove that it was mailed to them on that date. I am now facing late fees because for some reason, they have not processed and posted the check. Their customer service never answers the phone. They have us wait on hold for 20 minutes and then hang up on us. When contacting them via email, they take an extremely long time responding. If and when they do, they do not attempt to resolve the issue at hand. Now, they've been trying to see if I mailed it to the correct address when I literally mailed it to the address they provided.

Called about possibly obtaining a loan I was asked to spell my first and last name and then I was told to hold and then came back and said that they had been told by underwriting that I couldn’t be approved for a loan at this time even though I never applied so this was decided by I believe my ethnicity as I was never asked for my social or birth date to even say this had anything to do with my credit profile

      Regarding *** *******’s continuing
concerns that he was discriminated against based on his race or ethnicity, the
Company still adamantly denies this in its entirety.  The Company does not discriminate against any
applicant. As stated in our original response, the Company had a previous
relationship with *** ******* where a loan was approved for him, and terms of
that loan were not met in its entirety despite the Company closing the account.
The only thing that changed in
between the original loan being approved and the denial of the second loan was
the financial underwriting criteria history *** ******* had with the
Company.  The Company did not change its
      lending practices during that timeframe.
The fact that *** ******* was originally approved for a loan demonstrates
that the Company’s lending practices are not discriminatory against his, or
      anybody’s, race or ethnicity.

So just to be clear other than just able to state the facts and that nothing was shown on their end to show otherwise the BBB stand against discriminating practices is that it's ok just as long as the company responses back?

      Our
Response: To reiterate our original response, this

tribe's benefit and formed pursuant to tribal law, thus sharing sovereign

      PROPOSED
      RESOLUTION
While each of the seven loans you obtained

I am hoping ** ******* ******* is under this company. I did send a BBB complaint but didn’t receive anything yet. Hopefully they’re under that one. Well, ** ******* ******* is ripping me off. I was promised a pay off of 1100 over the phone and 25 dollars on the 26th. I’m looking back at my account and noticed that they double up the amount. I believed I’m going to be paying over a grand extra for an 800 loan. 637 already paid off. If they can come to an agreement so I can pay off my 800 plus 200 whatever interest then I’ll rest my case. Since this is illegal. I’m in Florida. I think ** ******* ******* should come to an agreement. I’m hoping they can come to agreement that I paid off only 358 including their interest on August 9th. This is predatory lending that actually doubles the interest and lie to you over the phone. They’re secretly doubling up their interest to get you. Hopefully they come to an agreement that I’ll pay off 358.00 soon. They need to contact me as soon as possible so I can set up that payment plan. I was lied to and deserve some kind of compensation. I also included an email I received before the call. Good riddance.

I just see that 106 was taken out this morning. As I keep telling this company to please be lenient that I’m going through financial problems as of right now. I’ve already paid what I owed now. I won’t be able to make more payments in the future. I was hoping for this to just be a final payment. And to not pay more of the interests. If this company can do so please as I won’t have any more money to give in the future. I know this was a settlement but it’s a settlement of interests that I can’t pay. Hoping BBB can help me with this. As this can only be the final payment as a lot was already paid for. Thanks. I’m hoping for a response by today since my bank account will be closed soon because of financial hardship.

I took out a $700 loan with EAGLE ROCK FUNDING. I was told that I can make an overpayment or prepayment at anytime without penalty. On 6.14.24 I called to have an additional $500 taken with the 6.17.24 payment. I was told I couldn't do it as it was already "in process". The agent offered to run it 6.18.24 which I agreed to, the draft was completed. When I looked at a breakdown of payments, how much to principal and how much to interest, I caught that they had taken $250 of my payment and applied it to the interest with no explanation. I called multiple times, talked to multiple people. Finally got ahold of a supervisor that told me that unless the payment was made the same day as the set draft, the full payment would be split. This was not brought to my attention when I set up the additional payment. I TRIED to set it up the same day, and was refused. There is nothing in writing about having to make this payment on the same draft date, nothing. See page 3 of contract. It's something they keep hidden in order to take more money from their customers. No agent ever said anything about this little catch, not during the application period or after, and certainly not on the day I set up the payment. I have asked multiple times to have the amount they put to interest put onto the principal balance as it should have as with any prepayment or overpayment. This is theft as they KEEP THIS INFORMATION FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS. After going around for several minutes with a supervisor, who works from home and the dogs were continually barking making the conversation harder than it should have been, she finally told me that is how the biz worked and there wasn't anything they could do. I want the $250 put onto my principal balance, and I want the account noted as paid in full with no further interest after the day I made that overpayment. I have contacted the main office and have not received any response.
