1 starThis website/company made an appointment on July 2, 2024 to complete the application for *** pre check for myself and my husband. We received an email that the appointment was cancelled. No further information on the email but our credit card had been charged for $97.00 twice. I wanted my money back so I called *** directly. Told them I wanted my money back and they told me that this company has attached themselves to *** and other government services and that is the fee to just make an appointment. It is free to make appointment if you call *** directly and they got us in on June 10, 2024. And the fee is only $78.00. That is when they told me to dispute the credit card charges. I called GovPLUS and the first call I was put on hold and then eventually it disconnected. Called again, they claim this is a charge for the software to get the *** appointment set up. They offered a partial refund, I explained to them that the appointment was not a valid appointment. The *** office is closed during that time. And you can do this for free directly with ***. After being put on hold several times, the call was 16 minutes, they decided to refund my credit card. This company needs to be shut down. SCAM.GovPlus

After a comprehensive review of our communication log, there were multiple interactions, especially via email between us.
Please know that we advocate for accuracy when making public statements particularly when employing strong terms like 'scam.' Such language should be supported by factual information or evidence rather than arising from individual oversights in reading, comprehension, or biased assumptions. It's essential to highlight that you voluntarily submitted your *** application on May 17th 2024, without any coercion or solicitation.
On May 19th, you requested a customized appointment. After reviewing your application, we informed you on May 20th that your desired dates of July 9, 11, or 12 at 10:00 in ********* were unavailable. We offered alternative dates in June, but you mentioned you would be on vacation from June 15th to 26th. On May 21st, we emailed you again for your preferred dates, and you responded that you wished to go with your husband, as the facility was an hour away, and preferred any date after July 1st. We sent you the confirmed booking for July 5th. The details are as follows:

On June 11th, you contacted us via phone. Please be aware that we experience high call volumes and we apologize for missing your call. During your interaction with our representative, ** when you called back after 30 minutes, you mentioned receiving an email stating that your appointment was canceled without a reason provided. You also requested a refund.
*** enrollment facilities *** close unexpectedly due to weather or internal audits, which are beyond our control. Ideally, the *** agency would notify you of such changes or at least provide such reasons, especially for confirmed appointments. As a private company, we do not have access to *** schedules after booking your appointment.
Please note that the cancellation email was sent by the ***, not GOVPLUS. We do not control *** facility schedules or their operational decisions.
We made an effort to accommodate your preferences promptly. We booked you your preferred schedule and location, aiming to facilitate your enrollment expeditiously. You went to a different appointment schedule on your own, due to *** cancelling the appointment we booked for you.
Regarding the fee you were charged for your application, the $97 fee is not solely for just booking an appointment, as you stated in your review. . This fee encompasses the utilization of our software for completing *** applications and grants access to the customer dashboard. This dashboard facilitates the effortless submission of various government forms currently available on our website and those that *** be introduced in the future. Every form, both current and future, can be completed with a single click. Additionally, our customer service, especially email and chat, is available 24/7. 365 days. No holidays. Our phone support *** experience high call volume due to the applications we receive on the daily but we have other support channels available, as mentioned earlier.
Regarding the *** processing agents statement that you were we attach ourselves to them and other government services, it's important to clarify that the personnel from IDEMIA who conducted your interview and collected your biometrics are employed by a third-party private company. IDEMIA employees are NOT government employees, nor is IDEMIA part of a government agency. IDEMIA, like GovPlus, is privately owned and operates as a competitor in the *** application industry. It's possible that these non-government employees *** not be familiar with our business practices, leading to inaccurate claims about GovPlus and causing unnecessary concern for our valued customers.
Please be aware that your application has been successfully processed, and the appointment we arranged for you are considered services rendered in full. Our Terms & Conditions explicitly state that "You *** request a refund at any time. However, no refund can be issued if an application has been completed or processed since services were fully rendered as agreed by the terms of use." This policy is implemented to prevent misuse of the refund system and ensure fairness to all customers. It's crucial to uphold integrity by honoring the payment for services rendered rather than seeking a refund after utilizing them. Please understand that by using our website and having scheduled you a customized appointment, you have already received and benefited from our services. By issuing this refund we gave you service for free.
Our priority has always been customer satisfaction and, despite the application being processed and, an appointment booked on your behalf and basically full service has been provided on our end, we processed a 2 full refunds of $97 GovPlus software fee as we do not wish to keep customers that do not see value in our offerings or in their inaccurate assumptions claim we are a scam as you state. There is no need to make assumptions as we are a legitimate company offering assistance to thousands of customers that see extreme value in our services.
Please allow 1-3 business days for the refund to be posted, as bank processing times *** vary. Two emails containing the refund confirmation details have been sent to you and your husband's email. We can confirm they have been received and opened.
GovPlus has taken all the necessary steps to address all your concerns and completed your request. With this, we consider this matter to be fully resolved.
