1 starAt the very least the Government Plus site is misleading. Notwithstanding the title, this is not a government organization. I was skeptical at first and should never have pursued the application for the passport. After the fact, I discovered that all I was paying for was their software. Perhaps it is in the fine print? I never completed the application. I checked with the credit card company the following day and much to my surprise the government plus fee for the application was already charged. I am in the process of disputing that charge. I attempted to contact Government Plus a number of times and it is almost as if they don't exist. There is never a person available to answer calls. Additionally, when I replied with negative comments to Government Plus' emails that I complete the application they continued to hound me. What's the deal! I would give the Government Plus site a negative rating, if it were possible. Do yourself a favor and go directly to a government website that ends with .gov and save yourself a lot of frustration, time and money.GovPlus

First, GOV+ is not a government agency, nor have we ever claimed to be. Yes, GOV is part of our namebut thats because our mission is to assist customers in filing and completing *************************** applications more efficiently. On our homepage, it clearly states: "NOT THE GOVERNMENT, JUST A HELPFUL PRIVATE COMPANY. It wasnt hidden in fine printits right there for anyone to see.
Our platform consolidates multiple government-related applications, eliminating the need to create multiple credentials or visit multiple websites when applying for government documents. To be clear, GOV+ is a private company, authorized by the ******************* through our subsidiary ********************* and an ***-certified e-filer. This means we meet strict security and integrity standards set by both the *** and the **************************** not every service provider can claim. We operate fully within applicable regulations and provide clear disclaimers and visible terms of service to ensure our customers understand exactly who we are and what we offer.
The PLUS in GOV+ reflects the added value we provide beyond basic government services. We offer features like Identity and Document Protection, automatic renewals for time-limited documents, and dedicated supportservices designed to make the process more convenient and secure for our customers. While we are not affiliated with any government agency, we take pride in offering services tailored to those who appreciate convenience and reliable support.
Regarding the $67 chargeyou were never misled. Before the payment was processed, you were required to:
- Manually enter your payment information.
- Click Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Actively click Submit.Directly below the total amount, there is a clearly visible disclaimer stating: GOVERNMENT FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED. This is intentionally highlighted to ensure full transparency before proceeding.
As for the mandatory government fee, customers are notified to settle this so the application can undergo review. Your application remained under the photo requirement stage when it was canceled, so no government fee was ever processedthere was nothing to dispute.

1 starI urgently needed a U.S. Passport Renewed. Feb. 4th, 2025, I filled out all the forms online with Gov+Plus for a passport in 2.5 weeks or less. After a few days I received paper copies of documents shipped two-day freight with **** without expeditated service but I was charged ***** for ***** Twice) that very day, I prepared the paper documents, pictures , expired passport that I paid for at CVS (approx. $17.00), turned in my expired passport, paid extra to have the documents audited for correctness, ***** that day. Still to this day I do not have a passport, nor information of tracking information for the passport, nor where the document is other than it's with the Government and I should have it on or before March 4, 2025. I do not have it, The Department of State, doesn't have it. I've paid over $500 for nothing. BBB, suggestions on how to move forward.
