I have already completed a complaint in May 2025 but have not received a response. My complaint number with the Better Business Bureau is ********. My initial agreement with Cantaloupe for my business monthly fee is $9.95. They have been charging me $19.95 monthly which is not in our contract. On September 2nd 2025, I ******* **** ** reached out to cantaloupe regarding an issue with the vending machine I purchased with them. my business owns a few vending machines with the cantaloupe card readers. As they were trouble shooting me through the ** unit issue I was directed to plug in the machine and check if the fan was turned on when I did so the machine kicked on and eventually the fan followed right behind it. I then called back after being disconnected from that agent due to an error on my screen stating "tampering detected" and the screen was locked. upon waiting 30 plus minutes for an agent I was instructed that they do not know what causes this error to happen but there is no fix in their system. I was also instructed by this agent that because I was outside of a year there's nothing that I can do and I can purchase a brand new card reader from them ,cantaloupe, which the agent stated it would be $325. I was thrown back because it was an issue that 1)they could not tell me anything about,2) the solution was purchasing a brand new item from the company that I already bought the item from and I would have to pay $325 for it and last there was no assistance on getting someone to even assist with changing out the card reader and putting it in. I feel that some type of practice is broken where this business can charge a monthly fee for a service then when something happens to device not follow up to fix it and then charge an additional 300 plus dollars to get another machine from that same company,it seems like a predatory Act. The agent even mentioned that this happens to other vendors as well so if this is happening to let's say 10 vendors a month that's $3,200 a month they're getting off of a new machine/business owner. Without Even the monthly fees associated with the machine. When asked to escalate it to a higher manager the agent forwarded me to a random voicemail and I had to explain the whole situation not knowing if it's falling on deaf ears.Initial Complaint

Trial period of their *********** was charged to me and getting refund/price adjustment has been a waste of several phone calls. You also can no longer deactivate devices from your online dashboard so guess what now they just let your monthly fees continue until they get around to deactivating them for you. They say it can take 7-10 days to deactivate and while that is completely ridiculous its also a lie because mine have been over 2 weeks and now going into another month. I will look elsewhere for different providers on any new purchase of cc readers.Initial Complaint

CANTALOUPE *** IS THE DEFINITION OF CONSUMER VIOLATION - HITS EVERY MARK the amount listed is the amount we should be charged - illegal consumer violation to see an item at $ 4.75 and i am charged $ 4.90 everytime i swipe my card - i am billed $ 5.00 for EVERY item i purchase and then it is balanced back to the original cost (so if i buy 3 pops at $ 1.50 each, my card is billed $ 5.00 THREE TIMES) - again a consumer violation i attempted to purchase an item on tuesday 8.26 - never dispensed my item, it got stuck before dropping. a tech emailed me after i scanned QR to file a ticket, informed me that i would receive my refund automatically as the sensors knew it had not released the item.2 days went by with no refund- on thursday 8.28 another "tech" emails to tell me i will receive refund in ***** hours (after 48 hours had already passed)today 8.29 - i get a text that a tech will be dispatched to assist me STILL NO REFUND AND IT IS A FULL 4 DAYS SINCE I WAS ROBBED BY THE *** I WILL ACTIVELY NEVER USE CANTALOUPE P.O.S. I have been reaching out to them because I need a 1099 in order to file my taxes. I was not aware I needed this being a new business owner. I think they should have sent one out in the mail at the beginning of the year and I never received this document from them.When I emailed them I received an email back saying it could take up to 14 business days to get a response. That should have been Tuesday August 12th. I havent heard anything and there is no number I can reach them at. Its strictly email only. I need this paperwork. Cantaloupe **** (formerly USA Technologies) is by far the most incompetent, negligent, and dysfunctional company Ive ever had the misfortune of dealing with in the vending industry or any industry, period.I legally purchased a vending machine that includes a Cantaloupe cashless device (serial #: ************. On July 18, 2025, the original owner replied directly to Cantaloupes Transfer Team email with full written authorization to release the device to me. The reply included ALL the information Cantaloupe requires: my name, business, email, phone number, and a statement authorizing the transfer. I have a screenshot of that reply timestamped and irrefutable.Despite that, Cantaloupe continues to lie and claim they never received the email while ignoring the attached screenshot Ive now sent multiple times. Their support team refuses to act, their phone **** are powerless, and their email team simply ignores proof thats right in front of them.This is not a delay its willful obstruction. The device is still tied to someone elses account, I am losing money, and their negligence is directly damaging my business. Ive called over 5 times, emailed over 10 times, and been met with total incompetence at every level.This company should not be trusted to handle money, machines, or anything remotely related to operations. They dont respond. They dont care. And they are actively hurting the very vendors theyre supposed to support.I want this device immediately released and transferred to my Seed account, or I will pursue legal action, file *** and attorney general complaints, blast this on every public platform possible, and encourage others to walk away from Cantaloupe for good.Cantaloupe is a disgrace to the vending industry and a liability to small business owners.Initial Complaint

Feb. *******. I bought a credit card e port for a vending machine in the amount of ******. My *** said it was compatible to the vending machine. ***** to install it and then called company and they said it was not compatible. March 17, 2026 Sent the credit card e port back to cantaloupe after multiple attempts to see how to return it finally got something emailed. Called one month later to see the status and after 2 different attempts same day. Got an e mail back saying they did receive it and waiting for a clearance approval for refund. Never got or heard anything. Called again 2 weeks later then one month later, then one week later then 2 weeks, then a month and so on. I talked to so many different people and my *** multiple times and got no answers. Nothing. I still dont have a refund and I still keep getting the runaround. There are a ton of notes in my file if you contact someone at *********. They have the device and its been cleared but no one is helping. I even asked to talk to a manager supervisor and they said they tried to connect me, but she was in a meeting. They took a message and I have not heard back. Her name is ***** *******. Im asking for help. This is horrible customer service and quite frankly I think everyone should know about this company. I am looking for any advice or help just to get my refund.Initial Complaint

A transfer of eport devices has been requested in April 2025 with promise that the transfer would be completed within 3 weeks. I have called and spoke to multiple representatives and get different stories as to why the transfer/account creation has not taken place yet. In the meantime the previous owner of the eport is collecting the monies associated with the vending sales. There is no sight of a resolution anytime soon.Initial Complaint

I have been working closely with the seller of two vending machines for three weeks. This Company is charging me service fees on two devices I have not owned in several years. Only to discover that when I called to have the accounts canceled they didn't and now claim I owe 800+ on devices that have had zero activity. They haven't sent me any mail correspondence and I have only found one email that went to spam. This is abuse. And the accounts receivable representative claimed I was threatening her by telling her I was also recording the conversation. Then proceeded to laugh at me. And then hung up. On the invoice I received today, it shows that the August fee from 2021 up to today may of 2025 there has been no activity on the devices. This is the result of me selling the machines and devices along with the machines they were installed into.Being that I called years ago I have no way of going that far back in my call history but I know I had to calm twice. They claim I never called at all. Which is false. They are demanding payment for services I never utilized and didn't want after the sale of the units they were attached to.
