5 starsMy husband died during Covid and after 4 years, I've found myself upside- down on some loans. I didn't know a plan existed to help me with consolidating these and negotiating the fees. I've been very pleased with the customer care service and every individual I've spoken with. Today, I needed help on my account with something I didn't understand well and I was very pleased with how it was handled. I'm extremely relieved I found JG Wentworth.J.G. Wentworth

5 starsLast month during a financially troubled time in my life, JG Wentworth agreed to offered me a resolution that gave me a path to financial freedom. I already was bound to a different company and I mistakenly thought I could use JG Wentworth and the other company. It was a bummer that I had to terminate my agreement with JG Wentworth because I was looking forward to having them on my side to tackle my debt. I wanted to say JG Wentworth was so understanding and kind about the fact that I, not them, made a mistake and had to terminate our arrangement. This is a company that helps people who need direction financially. Thank you so much.J.G. Wentworth

3 starsI signed up with JG Wentworth, the ladder part of 2022. I had just under ****** worth of debt with three creditors. So my debt with JG Wentworth is $14,000. I have paid off $6200 and I have a balance of $7000 give or take. Unbeknownst to me I was being charged a monthly fee for a lawyer warranty/coverage. I found this out the early part of 2025 and opted out so that took care of that monthly charge. I spoke with JG Wentworth twice this year telling them I had a lump sum and wanted to pay off the debt immediately. They refused stating my money is held in a savings account. I am being charged $9.99 a month for maintenance fee. My monthly payment of $357 will continue on until 2027. If JG Wentworth would take my lump sum I could save over $600 from the $9.99 monthly payment alone. Please do your due diligence this 357 a month payment is killing me. I still dont understand even after they explained to me why they dont just pay the creditor off instead of a monthly payment to them when I look at my credit report, I see that those three creditors have been satisfied. JG Wentworth sold one of my accounts. Reading your credit report reading between the lines is a must. Think twice before doing any debt consolidation with any company. I reached out to the predators and I can indeed pay them directly with consequences. My question has always been if I have the money to pay the balance of the debt off why wont they accept it?J.G. 5 starsIve seen so many bad reviews on here about *** hut Ive had nothing but a great experience. The person that got me started three years ago was super transparent, answered every question I asked and told me the ins and out and the short term negatives that it would causes (Tabking credit score, delinquencies, possible settled credit notes by lenders on my credit, etc) nothing was left unturned. As of July 31, 2025, I made my last deposit deposit into my escrow account and after the last couple lender withdrawals and *** fees come off, I will have official completed the program and Ill be debt free! For the most part, still have auto loan but thatll be paid off December, but I digress. From the looks of it though, based on the remaining fees and lender payments left, I should have $300+ left in that escrow account that should be refunded to me if Im correct, unless there are hidden fees beyond those that are shown on my accounts that are being settled. Regardless, my experience has been great! Payments were drafted on the correct draft dates every single month, all my creditors agreed to settled in a timely manner, and here I am 3 years later graduating the program!J.G. Wentworth

1 starI went to JG Wentworth with the promise of them being able to help me with my debt consolidating. At the beginning of the process, I was promised by an employee that I would be able to receive a loan within six months to help pay off the rest of my debt so I could improve my credit score after them not paying for six months. I agreed upon this, but when six months came up and I asked them if I was going to be offered a loan They then advise me they didnt know if I was going to qualify for a loan and that if I waited a little bit longer, there could be a possibility. I have felt that I was deceived in this process and that they robbed me for my money and they have not helped me, but theyve destroyed my credit. I am a single parent of two children not once. Did I ever miss a payment before I did this program, I was just looking for some help with the acknowledgment of six months falling behind, but then growing my credit back up it is going on eight months since this program has started and Ive now switched to somebody else because of the process that theyve lied to me about I do not recommend going through JG Wentworth . As they will deceive you to get your money and ruin your credit at the same time people are living in hard times and need help because of Covid and this is how these people are handling the situation its not fair. I feel its illegal and I believe that many of us should come together And go to court against them.J.G. Wentworth

1 starI started my journey with JG Wentworth to clear my financial debt which I accumulated helping my daughter in 2017, then she was killed in December of 2017. In January 2024 I decided to do debt consolidation. In January of 2025 I decided to take out a loan on my 401K and pay everything I needed to put into escrow. I am know over 6 months later and was told they dropped the ball on 3 of my creditors. Later being told 3 times that I graduated and will receive an e-mail to figure out what to do with the remaining funds. Not once have I had anyone call me back, this should have been handled back in February of 2025. When I started I owed $23,142. My remaining balance is $329.70. When I asked about the little remaining money, I was told it will go back into my account within 60 days. They settled my debt, but took the rest of the money in their service fees. I could have done this on my own.J.G. Wentworth

1 starI signed up for their debt settlement program but almost 15 months later and regretted it so much. ********************** the program. They lied to me when I signed up and they do not care that I was lied to. If they lied to me they will lie to you.J.G. Wentworth

1 starIf I could leave a zero stars, I would. Worst decision I made. My credit score tanked. I should have just filed bankruptcy. Doing that now. In 3 months, they only settled 3 of my 16 creditors. They paid themselves $1800 and only paid debt of $500. They pay themselves first before taking care of these creditors. Communication is poor. Hours are EST which is bad when you live on PST. Worst decision! Dont use them!J.G. Wentworth

1 starHello,I was on the phone simply asking how to get help. What the difference of secure debt verse unsecured ment. What loan places qualified. I didn't ask for every single one just an idea. I was accused of yelling before I even yelled. I yelled after they told me I yelled. That is crazy that they can't help anyone. Where do they get money from if they just go around telling people they can't be helped. Do you money from the government. Is this a higher up issue? How can you help anyone if you don't know what you can do or how you could help?Crazy business that doesn't help with what you say you are good at. ****** in debt but all of it is secure loans? What is an insecure loan? (Wait you can't answer that, you only help **** become ****er) This is crazy. Not helpful and a scam for only the ****. Your company needs to get shut down. Especially since all you are good for is to stuck your nose up and not be helpful at all. I'm sorry I'm not **** like you. But that is no way to treat someone. I am sorry I also yelled after the 3rd ****** who refused to answer what they could help with. I am pregnant and tired of you always thinking you are better than someone just because you can.J.G.
