  Go with a company that actually loans you the money to pay off your debt. Your score will tank as you accrue your own money and they cant guarantee a settlement. They never resolved one of my cards after two years and suddenly I got served papers to pay the debt that had been in consolidation with them. I had no idea they hadnt reached an agreement. Not only did they not reach an agreement but they cost me an extra $3000 in interest that I now also have to pay. I almost had to go to court for something I thought was handled and I was paying a lot to them to be handled. Not to mention the embarrassment of the STATE POLICE showing up to my house with court papers. No communication. Terrible experience. Run from this company.

  The company made a creditor take me to court with not responding to the debt. Now my program was suppose to end in February 2025 and we are into the middle of April 2025. They have the money in my account to pay off the last creditor and JG sent me a settlement to accept where they acknowledged to receive my acceptance however no attempts have been made to pay this creditor at all. I called the creditor and asked if they reached out to them because I accepted a settlement from them and they said no they have not reached out to them to pay them, I also see my money just sitting in my JG account. I have been calling JG and the customer service are repetitive with their response and advising I would receive an answer from the negotiator in 24 to 48 hours and to this date we are going into a week of nothing, at this point I'm looking into satisfying this creditor myself and taking JG to small claims court for the money that's sitting in my account paid by me to them for this creditor. It's really unprofessional and damaging to go unanswered and I'm really surprised they don't live up to their famous name. I really recommend anyone thinking of this company to look elsewhere. I am very unsatisfied with this outcome and it's making me take other steps due to their negligence.

  I will give a minus 10 stars if it was available.Completely a scam and misleading. I tried a bunch of times to get a hold on them to be transparent of how much was left to pay and I finally got someone to responded.I was trying to paid it off last years and told me my last payment was on February 25 and now I have still 1k left to pay for things they never mentioned. So basically you get a settlement but still pay the amount you originally owed. Try to get your own settlements. RUN from this company.

  This place is a scam. They tell you and end date then they extend it. Every time you call they give you a different answer. Once they get your fees up front they do nothing to help you. Just constantly lie to you . Stay away from them I wish I knew this before I entered the program. They will destroy your credit

  If I could, I would give them 0. Stay away from this company :(I signed up with JG Wentworth in October/November. I have been going through financial hardships, hoping that the debt resolution would help. Nothing was happening for a couple of months. I was told by the guy that set me up that he would check in on me and he would help me through the process. Once he was done setting me up- NEVER did I heard from him again.Then after a couple of montha of just seeing my credit score so low, I called and cancelled my account. I had 400 dollars in their escrow account, and that morning that I cancelled, OUT OF NO WHERE they say that they found a resolution for one of the creditors. How Ironic....but I said nope- Im done with this money, give me my money back.All of this was happening in the beginning of January. I NEVER said yes to the supposed "resolution" because I cancelled before they told me they had something. Im just so disappointed because they have not given me my refund. I feel like they stole my money and I have emailed them at least 4 or 5 times in total so I can get my 400 dollars refunded and nothing!

  Very helpful information. They just called me, when they started asking about my house payments, I assured them I was current, and I had proof. The company I financed with said to be ***** of companies who press for that information. I told him that, he hung up on me. Thats the 2nd ****** from that company to do that, just hang up on me! That led me to here! So glad! Thank you, and I am sorry for your troubles

  Really wish I could give zero stars. Horrible company to work with. Did a debit consolidation with them. I ended up paying off most of the debts myself because after dealing with them for over 3 years they didn't even have 1 of my debts cleared up. Was down to one last debt with one final payment. They didn't pull the money for the payment which broke the arrangement with the last company. So now I cant make any final payment until they renegotiate which can take 2 to 4 months in the mean time my credit which was getting better is about to go back down because of this dirty company. Also they say over and over that they have tried to contact me via email or phone call and never once have I received an email or phone call. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.

  JG is The Biggest Scam!!! They take your money monthly and wont pay the Collector until they build up a savings for you. While you are receiving Negative Reports on your Credit Report. Then the Collection will take to Small Claims Court and you are paying their Court Fee. Elon and ***** need to Shut JG Down

  Run don't walk from this company. They tell u what they want you to hear so you will sign up for the program then it's lie after lie. This was supposed to be a stress free program and I'm more stressed out than what I was before signing up. The worst thing that happened was when I received a summons saying I was being sued from one of my creditors because they never negotiated a settlement. I could go on and on. They also take all their fees out first before even starting to pay your creditors. I am now talking to a lawyer to sue them for breach of contract because everything i was told never happened and trying to get a manger to call you back never happens. What a nightmare this has been.

  JG Wentworth seeks to take advantage of individuals who are already in debt. I was charged for services that were not explained and charged for 60 days worth of services when i had the account for less than 30 days. When I asked to close my account and get a refund they did everything they could to drag it out and no one could expedite anything. I was told that the computer took over and no one had any control over it after that. I was told by two different creditors that this is how JG wentworth does business. These two creditors have had issues getting payments and speaking to someone at JG Wentworth. I would never advise anyone to use this company EVER...... I paid in $300 and I am only gertting $260 back even though i did not use them at all and only had the company for 3 weeks. I would like to recieve all my money back but after speaking to two people I was told that they do not have an option on the computer to do that.
