In my initial call with JG Wentworth I was led to believe that debts would be consolidated as soon as I started the process with the company. It turns out I was deceived. I have to wait until default to start the process. I am extremely upset as this will affect my credit score greatly and I feel taken advantage of in that I was misled into agreeing to something I did not want to. None of my payments towards credit are in default and now this is going to put them all in default. I thought I was trusting an honest company which wasnt trying to scheme people. I am absolutely sick at the trick I fell for. Furthermore, if you search up reviews on ****** and put in most recent filter you will see several other instances of how this company is deceiving people and further hindering their financial stress, when all people wanted was to fix their finances.Business Response

I began receiving emails from this company about 2 months ago. I do not require their services and when I went to unsubscribe by the link provided in the email it took me to a 404 page. I imagine because it saw me as clicking through on the email, the system saw this as interest. I am receiving up to 4 emails a day now! I contacted their customer service team from the contact email provided on their website and asked that I be removed from their mailing files. I have not received a reply, now at least one week later, and continue to get the emails. This is not legal, what they are doing goes against privacy policies that companies must abide by. I have blocked the email sender however I continue to get them from varying employees within the business.Business Response

Did not honor its contract JGW collected 1,644.11 from me and charged over 3 settlement fees of 477.80 on the account Debt resolution department failed, possible fraud. They only made 3 payments of 100.00 each on this account and only contacted debtor once. I am requesting email from all my accounts, stating all contact from JGW to audit JGW records. All they do is charge excessive fees. They also did not notify me of accounts that went to collection.Business Response

I spoke to Adam from negotiations at Jg Wentworth. He explained that they couldn't settle my ***** ************ account. I said I have basing asking for a while to settle. I told him to cancel future payments and he said he would. He told me I would be refunded back $54.66 . My accounts are all paid in full. This morning $250 drafted from my account. So I should be refunded back $304.66 thank you.Business Response

I received a "pre-approval certificate" from JGWentworth for personal loan for the amount of $15,000. When I went to the website to inquire about the loan? There is no option to select about a loan, there are simply debt settlement and restructuring options offered. I called the number advertised; I was denied the loan. In my humble opinion, this is blatantly a false and deceptive advertising practice. This was unsolicited loan offer. If in fact, I had been pre-approved? How was the loan denied? Again, in my humble opinion, this is blatantly a false and deceptive advertising practice. It nothing more than an attempt to deceive recipients of these "loan offers" into accepting debt consolidation or debt restructuring offered by JGWentworth.Business Response

We are constantly be harassed by JG Wentworth via email and phone calls. We have never done business with them or even inquired about them, etc. We have tried to have our email removed from their list as well as our phone number. Their customer service is the worst. As they won't help and are very unprofessional. It appears they have also sold/shared our email with a few other financial/spam organizations as we now receive emails from companies we have no idea who they are but they all have the same email address as JG Wentworth. @contact.************************.com. We have no idea how they got our email or phone number as we are extremely careful how we use and share both. This whole issue makes us nervous and anxious. Today ... I've been calling these people for months asking them to stop calling my phone or sending me mail to my home.. they have also contacted family members in our harassing us... This has been going on for months even years we don't have any business with these people and they continue to harass us.. I just received another mail from these people today I'm going to take legal action now since they don't get it.. this is borderline harassment and stalking.. I spoke to the office and one of the employees was very rude and was laughing at me when I told him I was going to take legal action he claimed to be a person named *****'s supervisor. What is wrong with these people.. I don't know how they got my new address this has been going on for years and I want it to stop even sending mailed in my maiden name I haven't used in years.. I have asked JG wentworth NUMEROUS of times to please stop calling me & mailing me, its literally on a harassment level. They will stop for awhile and then start up again.
