I am not liable for this debt with So ******************* account # ************ opened on August 2020, closed August 3, 2022 and a balance of $293.00. Which was paid in full. The original creditor is So *******************. I do not have a contract with Torres Credit Services. They did not provide the original contract as requested. This account was paid in full before I moved to ******* in August 2023, and I DID provide a forwarding address for So *******************. So, there should have been no reason they did not send a bill, and no reason they did not receive all payments. I also have a credit balance of ****** with this same company at my current address listed above, account # ***********. I do not know why So ******************* did not merge these two accounts. I have the same social security number and same phone number. My last name did change in 2023. Maybe that is why they were confused. I demand this be removed from my credit report immediately.*********************Business Response

On June 3rd, 2024, a collections was added to my credit file by Torres Credit Services. I have received no information from this company with regards to any debt. Their is no unpaid debt listed on my credit file and their has been no report of unpaid debt listed by any of my creditors.So how is it that I owe something when I have not been informed by ANYONE. I am rejecting this response because: I have not received the statement the company provided. I have no forms of notification that a bill was due nor any forms saying if unpaid it would be sent to collections.I have no communication from TCS of an unpaid "debt" from a utility company. The response given by TCS does not resolve the issue of the negative impact on my credit file.
TCS response ending of (Following receipt of this Complaint, TCS has discontinued collection of this account, requested deletion of its trade line from all credit reports and closed its file.) also does not resolve the negative impact on my credit file.
Does this response mean they areno longer seeking collection as stated and also are they requesting my credit file be updated.
Complaints about Torres Collection Services have all received this statement which seems automated.

This company illegally reported a bill they say was through ******* But they are calling themselves the original creditor. I was checking my credit report today(06/04/2024)and I seen I had a collection account with the business name of Torres Credit Services which I never heard of nor used before. There was a fraudulent account opened in my name with an online bank Chime. I contacted them immediately and it was closed and flagged as fraudulent. I notifed all 3 credit bureaus and placed a fraud alert. The next day being today May 30 2024 I received a credit alert that a new account was open with ********************** and the balance was 225. I have never done business with them or have any account in that amount. I called them and they said they needed my SSN. I would not provide because of the fraud activity.. How do I get this removed as this is not me or my account. The person I spoke with was trying to obtain my SSN. I do not owe them anything or have any clue who they are. Please have them delete this from my credit report. Thank you. Please let me know what I need to do. Again on my credit report it is a new account with Torres Credit in **. Today I got a credit notification saying this business Torres credit services is reporting over $2000 that I have no idea where this came from. It also states this account was opened in Jan of this year. This is really shady and caused my credit to sink. please remove this off my credit report I dont know how and why you guys are reporting shady claims. Torres Credit services in has placed a fraudulent account on my TransUnion credit report for $574. I have never heard of this company, and do not owe any debts to this company. Im a victim of identity theft as my Social Security number was compromised. Attached is a copy of my identity theft report. I am not liable for this debt that Torres credit services has reported on my credit report. I do not have a contract with Torres credit services. Nor did I ever sign a contract with Torres credit services. Torres credit services did not provide me with the original contract as requested.
