      I am a new customer and overall the service has been working very well. I do have a suggestion; The directions for switching from one service to Consumer Cellular could be tweaked to better reflect what one actually needs to do in order to make the switch. If there was anything that made the process hard was that. Consumer's website is very vague in that area.

      This is actually my wifes new phone and she loves it. It was very easy to set up. Previously we were with Company V and always felt like they were doing us a favor by letting us be a user of their less-than-stellar service. Consumer has treated us like friends for several years and their all in-country service is a gigantic bonus.

      Reasonably good service unless you exceed some unspecified data limit on their unlimited plan. Cellular data is deactivated, without warning, except for an after-the-fact text message claiming that service was suspended for your protection. The customer service rep that I contacted claimed that I still had cellular data access, but that it would be extremely slow. Not true as none of the apps on my phone currently work.

With unlimited data plans, data speed is reduced once a customer has used a preset amount of data, which is standard for carriers nationwide. This practice helps to optimize overall network performance and maintain a quality service experience for as many customers as possible. 

      To protect our customers from unexpected or extreme charges, and assist us in identifying fraud, if any line of service exceeds 10GB, **** texts/minutes, in a three day window, the service or feature will automatically be suspended. We understand this can be inconvenient, however,we are unable to turn off this feature as it is a protection to our customers.Customers can log into their online account and reinstate the feature, however,If the high level of usage continues, the service will continue to be interrupted.

      Using **** is a real pain. They don't deliver to my home but to a postal box 1.2 miles away. Because they don't leave packages that need to be signed for. Then I have to drive ***************************************************************************** receiving. I think CC should at very least consider using *** who does deliver to my remote address and is better equipped for better timely service.

      I cancelled my account at the end of August, it is now November and I am still being charged.

      Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. Consumer Cellular bills in arrears for monthly services and usage, much like a utility company. We are not a prepaid provider; service is month to month. When an account is closed, there is always a final bill for service through the cancellation date. Please contact our U.S-based customer service at the number above and we will be happy to review your billing with you.

      The phone arrived as early as promised and the instructions that came with it made the setup a breeze. We did have to contact **************** with regard to carrying over my old number to the new phone. That, too, was a piece of cake. It's important to convey the outstanding support we received. The ** rep. answered every question and even offered a few extra suggestions that made this transition so much easier. What a nice young man! The bottom line is that our introduction to Consumer Cellular was very positive and gives me confidence that we will work together very well in the future.
