      3 strikes, youre out. 3 junk phones, in a short time. Switching to ******** Started the process to switch to ******** and keeping the number from CC, on December 28,2023. Today is ******* 4,2024. Consumer Cellular is stating different reasons of why this process is taking so long. In reality it shouldnt take more than 1 day. Usually, only 4 hours. Now were entering another billing period, you must *************** up to date, to keep the number and have it ported. The new phone with ******* is for my elderly mother. This is a stressful situation for her. We are in the 8th day of this.

      The old one was junk. The new one was very time consuming and frustrating to activate. I'm glad I hung in there and got it working. No problems so far.

      Consumer Cellular is not to be trusted and is not Consumer friendly.I have been a customer for years. I never signed up for e-bill or auto pay. Received my monthly statement and their is now a $5 charge for opt out e-bill/auto pay.I called and asked was told for new customers that is a charge. Explained I have been a customer for years and was never charged. Was told "well I guess the system just caught up with you" WHAT???? I asked did an email or text or letter or call was sent to me regarding this and was told No.This is ridiculous and non-notification to a customer is just what a company who doesn't care about their customers and is trying to get whatever they can behind the backs of the consumer.Time to shop around for a new carrier.

      My friend has Consumer Cellular and signal is terrible. By running an internet data speed test with her phone I found that she is assigned to ****** system. Her phone is nearly impossible to reach, and voice quality ranges from erratic to unintelligible, depending on the time of day. I have a different VOIP cell phone using ********** system and have no problems in her home. I would be interested to find out if Consumers Cellular offers a different sim card for ******** because she needs something different.

We are sorry to hear of your friend's frustration with coverage.       Consumer Cellular started out by quoting a monthly bill under $30 a month. Each month bill went up. I was told that Consumer Cellular arbitrarily raises your bill depending on amount of data used. This was never told to me. They advertise helping seniors but I believe company to be a rip off and underhanded. Beware

      The ** code scans weren't working. Extremely frustratiing! Even with the help of tech support it took three days to transfer over my phone numbers. I just hope there are not anymore bumps along the way.
