      I have the service and there is good news and bad news. The good news is that the connection is clear and the reps are nice in general. The very bad news is two-fold: my calls keep dropping at the same minute every single day (and now night), and Consumer Cellular just rents the towers and signals from **** and uses this as a lazy excuse when you have an issue saying it's them, not CC's fault. Yet they do nothing about it. CC is the tenant, and **** is the landlord. But you are paying the tenant in this weird triad.. Further, Consumer Cellular dos not have its own techs or access to any techs that they can send out if you have an issue. That's why the price is relatively low: you get what you pay for, potentially poor signals that they blame on others, and no tech support. As for my dropped calls, I have contacted both the *** and even the *** (potential rogue country trying to break into *** airspace) and they both are investigating. I do not like how Consumer Cellular basically says "not my job" when it is their job to look into these issues, especially because they are receiving a payment each month by a customer. I might soon drop CC but am keeping them for now while the investigations are happening. This is serious stuff, and CC's reluctance to do anything and pass the buck makes me realize it is just a third-party carrier and not a premiere one as it wants customers to think through its ads, etc. I hope the president of the company takes this seriously, because it is a serious issue that even their own veteran people have never encountered but I have proven it to them many times and nobody is even questioning the dropped calls every day (now evening) at the same exact minute. I have often called the company and told them the call is going to drop in 3...2...1 minutes and it does. Then they call me back as requested, verify it's true, but cannot and will not try to figure it out. So I hope the *** and even *** can help this along.

      My new I-phone was delivered without any notice to me that the delivery had happened and without my being asked to provide a signature that was supposed to be required. I was home all the previous day and evening so was available to provide the "required" signature. While I was surprised that the delivery had occurred (likely at night), at least the delivery person knew to put the box containing the phone between the storm dorm and front door so it was not visible from the street. My wife found the box the next morning when she opened the front door. The phone was cold but works fine,

Consumer Cellular and the **** do not have a unique or advanced partnership regarding the shipment and delivery of phones. If the post office is unable to secure a required signature for delivery, we do not have the means to intervene on the customers behalf. As the person who is receiving the phone, you are the only one they can work with to reschedule delivery.

      This was the worst company I ever been on.They lie and say it's the cheapest phone company for seniors. Then after signing up they said I get a free month. I then canceled my service that I actually never even used never even opened the phone, but they charge me a final bill!. I am so. Angry.

      The info on web site minimizes and does not fully disclose all the steps involved in transferring a cell number from another carrier. Thankfully I had access to another cell phone to make the necessary calls to Consumer Cellular to facilitate the process. Without the 2nd phone I could not have completed the process. Also, the web site does not disclose that their office that handles these requests is NOT open 24/7. The office closed in the middle of the process and I was forced to wait until next day to complete transfer process. Hopefully the actual cell phone service going forward will go more smoothly.

When transferring service from another provider, the service will need to remain active until the transfer is complete. We will need the account information from the current provider's service, including the account holder's first and last name, account number, port-out/transfer PIN and the billing zip code.

      So far so good! we're new customers. We were able to keep our own phones and phone numbers, and even with the New Years holiday weekend we still received our new sim cards in less than a week. Getting the service working was easy! I am looking forward to our first regular bill which will be lower than what we pay with another service. Thank you!

      I've only been with CS for just over a year and have had no issues with them at all. I recently went from an Apple 12 to a 15 plus. Since I live in ********, where CS is based, I had my phone in just a day or two. I am waiting now on the amount of refund I'll get from the Apple 12. This is Monday, January 8, I only sent the old phone in on Friday January 5.

      This is not your fault but **** left the package at my front door and left a note that I had to sign for it at the post office the next day. I never checked the front steps . I went to the post office the next day and they said the package wasnt there. I found the package on my front porch. It had sat there overnight in 28 degree weather. Everything is fine. Your service was flawless.
