1 starToo good to be true... After 2 and a half hours the ************* office managed to get my husband's Iphone signed on but left me and my android with NO cell service. Handicapped and in bad winter weather, I need my cell phone so we IMMEDIATELY tried to get back with my former RELIABLE service. It took Consumer Cellular 24 hours to let go of my number so I could get my good phone service back again. I am disappointed that AARP recommends this so-called 'service' to its members.

1 starI have been a customer for a couple of years. Recently purchased a new/refurbished android and called Consumer Cellular to give them information they requested and asked them if I could transfer my sim card from the old phone to the new one and was told that was fine. I asked them if they could help set me up phone and so we did that. I am a senior and a member of aarp and that is why I chose cs as my phone service. I have been on a lovely monthly plan that I could afford with auto monthly payment. Today I see an increase of over $10.00,I called them and was told that my plan went over usage and my guess was because of the wifi was not set up while the tech walked me through what to do when I called them.I mentioned to the tech that I was at home most of the time and have wifi, just like my original phone. I was told that they will not take responsibility as to what I did and that I owe that amount. I am so confused and don't feel I owe them anything more than what I normally pay. This was NOT my fault if I went Over the limits. The technician obvioulsy didn't set up my phone correctly and now I am being charged for incomplete/or improper setup. I always pay ***** and now they want *****. Can you please help me? Thank you-they don't take payment plans eitherConsumer Cellular
