      Consumer cellular has been a nightmare. Was changing my phone from ******* family plan to a single. They said it was set up. Paid ***** to get Sim card fast. This is Jan 19, ****. This has been going on since I first talked to them. I would never have paid for a useless Sim card if they would have done their job. Keep saying g ******* has the phone locked. ******* says they don't. I've been without a phone since the 12th. Multiple calls multiple supervisors, some, a couple helpful, most not. I will not be using either one of these companies. I'm 75 years old, can't go out ti the cell store dye to having RSV highly contagious. This is poor service by any means. AARP should get rid of this company. 0 Rating

Please understand that while we do everything we can to help solve problems, we cannot guarantee every cell phone model can be configured with our service. However, we do have a Trade-In Program if you decide to purchase a new phone through Consumer Cellular.

However, all our phones do include a one year manufacturer warranty. If it needs to be replaced under warranty, there are mandatory troubleshooting steps that need to be completed to start the process and to help resolve the issue.

      On January 11, I contacted Consumer Cellular to begin the process of porting my landline number to my cell. My expert was *****, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. If I could have continued with her there would have been no problems.Comcast was supposed to continue the process. They didn't. Finally, they told me that Consumer Cellular needed to. Here's where the fun began.First, I spoke to ***. He was patient and friendly. We got cut off when he put me on hold! So, I called back and spoke to ******. She was also wonderful, but we got cut off before we could finish! I got cut off almost immeditely on my third call! The fourth person, a woman, was much less helpful, was antagonistic, and didn't listen well but kept misquoting me! Finally I had enough of her belligerence and asked to speak to her supervisor, *************He was awful! This was a ******** SERVICE supervisor? He consistently spoke over me, so that I had to shout! He brought up issues that NONE of the other representatives had mentioned! When I tried to take issue with things he was saying he would ignore me and just repeat himself. This was belligerance, intimidation, and rudeness. Finally I demanded to speak to HIS supervisor; he informed me that he could not connect me, saying he could not escalate my issue any further. Or WOULD not? I finally had to yell that HE was now the issue! He still refused. I asked for the executive offices number. All he would give me was an address so I could write a letter. Write a letter? And let this man loose on other customers? I was furious. After all of this he was finally able to cogently take me through the steps to activate my eSIM, which was all that I wanted in the first place!In general, I have had good experiences with Consumer Celluar; however, if one has a situation that goes beyond the usual, they seem to quickly descend into seriously bad customer service.I would like this information to become a matter of record with BBB. Thank you.

      The receipt was good, The transfer to new phone could have been better. It was difficult to transfer files, apps, etc to new phone because it wanted me to connect phones together. This required a double USB-C cord which was not supplied by Consumer Cellular and I don't have.This necessitated that I had to directly transcribe phone directory from one to the new phone. This did take some time. The Moto phone seems to be working better for my wife than the old no-name phone.
