5 starsThe *** was outstanding today in helping me get my mom's phone back online. My mother is in *********** visiting her sister. She needed her phone but was unable to use due to no cellular reception. After I explained the situation to the ***, she sent an update to the device gave me instructions on helping get my mom's phone back working again. I'm in ************ so relaying the precise info was key, for me to get it to my sister to help my mom in another state.Consumer Cellular

1 starThis company is awful and not cheaper than other companies. I have had a phone for my mom through CC for about 4 years now. Her reception in her apartment was just horrible, I was paying approximately $33 a month for her service w/5 gb of data, not very much in the scheme of things. I finally decided to switch her over to our T-mobile account, we have been paying a flat rate of $70 for 2 lines, unlimited text, talk, and data (taxes and fees included). When I stopped her service with Consumer Cellular it was 2 days into the new billing cycle, they ended up charging me $10.12 for 2 days! Because she would have gone over her allotted data they changed it to a different plan 30 days, they charged me $3 for surcharge fees, not by 30 days and tax! What an absolute ??% ripoff! They will NEVER have my business again and I would suggest others to really look into them before purchasing.Consumer Cellular

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. Consumer Cellular bills in arrears for monthly services and usage, much like a utility company. We are not a prepaid provider and we do not have contracts; service is month to month. When an account is closed, usage and billing are prorated for service through the cancellation date on the final invoice. 3 starsI would like it if the instructions were more specific. my phone has updated like 12 times then i had to install them. is this normal? to get the transfer between phones I had to buy a special USB cord because wireless connection didn't work. i had to turn off my vpn and do lots of other things i had to figure out by trying different ways over and over. i didn't know i'd have to make a ******* account. these things came as a surprise.Consumer Cellular

4 starsI did receive the Phone in a timely manner. Problem I have is the fact that everyone just assumes that everyone has internet access at home. Unfortunately, I do not. I have to utilize the local Public Library for internet access at zip code *****. Today's atmosphere here at the library is not a quiet and/or peaceful place to read, research, (play Chess), or study anymore. It has become, (in recent years), more of a recreation center for the kids of the neighborhood to literally run around, with their smart phones, and hover behind other people's computer screens, play board games and cards and to talk at street level volume.Problem is, I discovered my new phone has 78-page operators manual. When I requested to purchase this manual new, I was deigned because Consumer Cellular wants to save paper. Woe is me!Consumer Cellular

4 starsWe like our new phones, but were not impressed with the so-called Consumer Cellular departments in our Target stores. I finally set the phones up myself, then had to do lots of trouble-shooting (2 days worth) to get my husbands email account and contacts to load on his phone.Consumer Cellular

5 starsMy *** stayed with me for almost 90 minutes while I contacted ******* support to get my new phone set up properly. All this while a thunderstorm hit her **************. It's folks like her that ha e kept me a loyal customer and brand ambassador (love to all at Consumer cellular) for almost 20 years!Consumer Cellular
