      If you don't have internet you have to use their data Then when you switch to a new cellphone carrier they don't bother telling you still owe for a bill that you thought you paid for in July but no your bill comes out for July and August in September when you no longer have this company for a phone when I was told I wouldn't have a bill *** I have no money for food, gas Thanks alot

      I am very satisfied with my purchase of a ******* Galaxy A16. The phone's capabilities are a big upgrade from my old *******. ***** at the Tigard store was very helpful in setting up the new phone and transferring files from the old phone to the new one. Being able to visit and physical Consumer Cellular location and dealing with sale people in person was much better than conducting business on-line. Overall, the customer service was excellent and the price was fair. I recommend Consumer Cellular.

      Consumer could not confirm that their cell phone would work in my area. I activated with a new line to verify that their system worked in my area. It took over an hour to activate my phone, did 3 master resets, QR downloads, updates, finally got it to work. Then I ****ED over my old phone line. Consumer charged me an extra $11.00 to ensure the new phone works in my area. They stated it was because I started with one number and ported a number in. I stated that if Consumer Cellular had problems, I could not afford to loose my existing phone number.... They had alot of issues turning on the new phone, over an hour... After we verified it worked, then we did the **** over.They should have not charged for the porting, especially since they had so many issues with activating the phone, and they could not ensure it would work in the neighborhood I was in.

      I had just had had a horrible experience with another phone service provider who had not made the necessary data available to release my phone or me from their control.When I contacted Consumer Cellular and was connected to a support administrator, I experienced an unusually kind and effective offer of support that worked best in person due to the complexity of the challenges. I met with professional support staff in ******, OR who displayed patience and flexibility, and were able to work through minor but understandable communication challenges when needed. That was extremely helpful as I had become generally frazzled the previous few days by my former phone providers, obstacles. I was also glad I had cleared my entire morning of meeting obligations. The two store folks were amazingly adept at keeping all customers served without any prolonged delays. Customers came in steadily, but the service professionals rotated among them very well.I do have to say that I am positive I would not have been able to manage the patience and time expenditure for these services either over the phone or via the website. Several times I saw challenges that temporarily puzzled even the store personnel and required that they use special strategies to solve the issues, and there would have been no way for me to have sorted through those unique challenges at home by phone or chat, let alone the extra communications that would have been necessary. But I emerged with phone service activated and effective.Much appreciated.

      So far the only disapointing feture we discovered was the limit of only ************** a text feed. We found we use about ***** for work related conversations. We were able to do a work around with ****** Messeges.

      It started off really good and easy then when trying to transfer our old phone to new phone it was a complete disaster. We were there for 3 hrs. My husband finally went, mine not. The sales clerks were trying so hard and I told them to call help desk which they finally did and after 1/2 hr my husbands was active. Then mine another 44 mins and kept asking for a new eSIM card and help desk wouldnt, finally did and didnt work then clerk put phone back in internet and it became active. My phone lost all my text messages, I had to download all my apps, and other stuff too. Again clerks were frustrated too and was trying so hard. I would think twice switching phones with your company. Service has been good. Btw my husbands phone didnt lose anything
