      I tried to swap my provider from ********** at a local vendor but was not able to do so. The ***resentative kept finding that my phone was blocked. **** said there was no block. After calling CC directly I discovered that a special request had to be submitted to ****. I was assured I would then be able to get connected. After a day, I got a message from **** that I was about to lose service but I still couldnt make the connection. I called CC directly again to discover that the line had never been ported. The *** I talked to helped get that corrected and walked me through the steps and everything then worked well. I recommend providing additional training to local ***s about this need for this special request step.

      We had a new phone, old phone and transfer of service to set up. *** **** went above and beyond to help us work thru the process and got both phones active. So far all is going well.

      No Worth The Time! I responded to a PROMO from AARP for Consumer Cellular, contact Consumer Cellular, gave my information, was interested in a simple porting a number to Consumer Celluar, then decided to upgrad my phone, Gave my info, was told by *** that I was approved, received e-mails, told I would have my phone in 4 to 5 days. Waitied, NOTHING came, I called in to check status, was told their was an issue and I was NOT approved and the entire process was cancelled, not just phone order, NO NOTIFICATION. Told them I was NO LONGER INTERESTED. I contacted **** and filed complaint.I am looking for a new carririer toport my number. I do NOT recommend Consumer Cellular and am NOT impressed with the lack and level of service. Bad experience!

      *. ******, we are sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience. All high value orders are reviewed by our billing department as a security measure. Based on several factors, they can decide if an account is not EasyPay eligible after the initial order has been placed. Thankfully, those customers can still either pay for a device in full or bring their own device to our service. After a good payment history has been established with Consumer Cellular, the account may become EasyPay eligible once more. We'd be glad to discuss this with you further if you'd like to give us a call at the number listed above.

      Obviously your reading and comprehension skills are LACKING. Let me simplify it for you, rather than you tryng to control the narrative with a generic statement. I have already spoken to ******** in your *********************** she contacted me. It was ACKNOWLEDGED that I was APPROVED for your Easy Pay program, per ******** she had never seen this happen, where someone is approved, then days later not approved. She could not provide a reasoning as to why this happened. I ended the call with I no longer what or need Consumer Cellular as you are not able to do the simplist of things, such as honor your business decisions. I also find it interesting you didn't even address my other concern, but half assing it seems to be what you do there at Consumer Cellular. You have wasted enough of my time, I made may stance EXTREMELY clear. I see you as a failure and inadequate in this endeavour. I don't need or want you for any business relationship.

      Purchased phone/plan for senior MIL (who LIVES IN ANOTHER CITY). I am the admin on the account but CANNOT LOG-IN because passcode can only be texted to the Consumer Cellular account phone number. Please enable passcodes to be sent to emails or text to phone number identified by administrator (not just text to Consumer Cell phone number). The phones/plans you offer for seniors are good, but I am hesitant to recommend Consumer Cellular to others if I can't access my account. Hope you get this resolved.

      I agree, customer security is very important but so is having access to MY account. I feel your response is tone deaf. I am trying to make you aware of a situation that needs attention. There should be more than just one way to send a passcode. As administrator of MY account, I should be able to identify how I want to receive a passcode (text or email). I find it ironic that when I sign in as a new registration, you will send a passcode to my email but once I've done that I'm restricted to receiving it via text. Again, the phone that will receive that text is not in my possession, my MIL has it (over 125 miles away). It does no good to send a text to the phone, I won't get it and getting a text message will confuse my MIL. If my email address is safe enough for you to send me my monthly bill, it should be safe enough to send a passcode. I hope you will seriously revisit this policy and make the necessary changes.

      So far so good! No problems making or receiving calls. They use the same tours as the other companies.. Switching was super simple other than our previous carrier dragging their feet to release our phone numbers. I can't believe that after 20+ years with our previous carrier, all they were interested in was charging more and more! Consumer Cellular, $55/mo for 2 phones, unlimited talk, text and data! And guess what! You contact their customer service and you get a very pleasant REAL person speaking clearly in English! Only wish I could work for them too! I live too far from their office. :(
