  Terrible verification process. SheerID requires too mkuch personal information that is unnecessary. Even after uploading as much as possible, they still want more! I believe this is a part of some other form of document harvesting. This company should be investigated.

  Awful verification platform. I provided my ADP paystub and my fd id. They consistently rejected these (almost immediately) and then said too many attempts. I was only able to get it to pass by sending a ****** off email to them. ID.me is light years ahead of this fly by night organization. I hope companies move away from SheerID.

  Sheer ID verification service is untrustworthy. YES IM A VETERAN. Any business that uses this company is likely missing out on military support of their business.

  SheerID is the worst company for military members to use. Military orders over 2 years (typically which are 3 years) are said to be too old and invalid. Multiple documents showing proof are denied. It's not until you email their support team frequently that you get any clearance. Their lack of a customer service line makes it even more frustrating. A process that previously used to be easy with many companies is now made to be illogically long and intolerable. We've had to use it twice (for ****** Fi and LinkedIn) and both times we almost quit using the companies or gave up.

  Horrible customer service. They will only communicate in writing. They insist on me providing certain documents and I dont have the documents. I dont know how or what to do in order to get the documents.This is regarding my application for discount on my ******* monthly membership. I qualify through government based programs. No where else has asked for additional documents when I have provided proof of my government program memberships.When I asked the person who is communicating with me through email for clarification of what I need and how I can obtain these documents he refuses to answer my questions. He said I should just start the application process over again. Which of course just presents the same problems.I really need the ******* membership because they will deliver my groceries. I am not able to go shopping but being a senior citizen living on income below poverty level prohibits my ******* membership if I dont get the discount. I will have to cancel it.I have repeatedly asked to speak to a live person who can tell me exactly what they need and how and where I can get it, but they refuse that help as well.They should not advertise the discount if they are going to make it impossible to take advantage of.

  Sheer ID is absolute trash!! They asked me to download a copy of my paystub for a 20% teacher discount at Target and they said it was invalid. How can that be????!!! It's from my school districts website!!!!! Also, there is no way to contact them by phone.

  I was VERY suspicious from the get go wanting a copy of my DD214.When I applied with the ******* DMV to have Veteran added to my drivers licence, I was asked to bring a copy of my DD214 to a DMV office which I did, I showed the person my copy of the DD214 they thanked me, no copy or BS.When I move to ****** they looked at my ******* Drivers Licence took a picture of it and put Veterian on my ****** Drivers Licence.I have shopped at both ****************** with no problem using my drivers licence, until now when ********** wants copy of DD214.Sheerid has a very poor rating with the Better Business Bureau for a reason, the number of complaints.When I was discharged I was told to safeguard the document.DO NOT GIVE SHEERID OR ANY OTHER COMPANY A COPY YOUR DD214.

  Many hours wasted an dozens of emails later they inconsistently approve or deny while sending the same documentation. They have terrible customer service. No one should ever use them

  I can't tell if it is mere incompetence, laziness or purposely set up to give veterans and service members a hard time but my experience was horrible. I tried to verify my active status through linked in and sent in my documents multiple times to recieve multiple different error messages. Clearly these reviewers have never served in the Military. How is a DD214 or Active Duty Orders not an acceptable document to prove veteran status or proof of Active Duty. So aggravating and annoying.
