Horrible customer service, lack of communication, and timeliness of completion. Our project began mid April. We were told this project would take 1-2 weeks **** as of June 30, 2023 we are on week 12 and our project is not even close to being completed. The communication with this company is awful. I call the local office and get no response, or very little. I contact the cooperate office and they have to send an email to the local office to have someone call you. I have requested to speak to someone higher up multiple times and I still have not received a call back. We leave messages, emails, text, etc and no response. We never know when the workers will be here or not and when they do show up there are only here for no more than 3 hours!!! If the workers show up they are only here a few days a week. They had to remove vinyl siding from the house and did not replace for several weeks. We addressed our concerns of potential water leaking into our house when it rains over this time. Our concerns were ignored and now the rain found its way into our house and we have a big stain on our ceiling. When asked how they are going to fix it we get no answers. There has been no discussion on how my ceiling will be fixed. We potentially could have mold now above our ceiling!!! Very frustrated with the project and we see no end in sight. Even what has been done will need to be fixed as so many mistakes or shortcuts are being made. We pay a large amount of money for a project that should look beautiful but instead you get poor quality, poor customer service, and poor craftsmanship!!! I regret ever signing the contract with this company. Very dissatisfied. Looking to get this project done, my ceiling fixed, and compensation.Business Response

This is no excuse, but we have seen some delays and miscommunications due to this issue. We do our best to finish every project as quickly and efficiently as possible. We apologize that we missed the mark this time on completion but we stand behind our finished product. . ***** has been in touch and we will have a crew out the week of July 17th to complete your project. I am rejecting this response because:
This is the same response they have sent to their customers that have filed a complaint. Total ** in my eyes. I have left messages Thursday, Friday of last week and then today for an update on when I will see workers at my house. I also contacted their corporate office to have someone call me. I have received NO calls back or messages returned. This is not how you run a business. They have received 90% of the money for this product and we are seeing little progress and the progress has gotten worse over the past month. We have water damage to our kitchen ceiling because of their lack of work and attention to out concerns. They have done nothing to addressed my ceiling and when asked I am ignored. I want to know how are they going to correct my ceiling. Why do we have to wait another week to get workers to my project. We only saw workers one day last week and it was for 3 hours and they left a gutter half done that my husband has to fix due to the heavy rain that has been occurring. And now they are telling the BBB that we won’t have workers here till next week. Ridiculous.
I have requested over and over I want to speak with the owner to discuss this project and all the issues that have occurred. By them delaying this project from being finished delays other workers from finishing their job that we ave hired them for like the floor and window treatments. I do not accept not being communicated to and no work being done.Business Response

Im filing this complaint due to damaged product and an incomplete job* - with no response to our frequent calls and emails** after we paid and expected a brand new 3 season patio room this past year. *Damaged product includes: seals not aligning, scratched windows and framing, snared screens, locks that do not work (all of them), wrong s**** colors (all of them), frames that were not completely painted (all of them - yet delivered and installed), product allowing water to run into our room and wrong paint color used to fix what was not painted or attempted as a fix - which now looks like a spray bomb job.We have proof of the damage through home video of how the product was delivered in the installers truck to our home and handled through the install process - which I would like to add was done in a rush due to the distance the installers were coming to our home, which caused most of this work to be done in the evening or night. Besides hundreds of photos showing theses issues, besides the poor paint job/wrong color used to correct the numerous issues.**We have called and emailed continuously for the past month with no reply on when the damage can be replaced and repainted as we were promised by one of your Field Supervisors this past winter. We have an email string and call history that proves this - to both him and your team in ********* and *******.This is what I paid:Patio Enclosures (3 season room) - Great Day Improvements, 1st payment-10/28/22 $8,264.68 and 2nd payment-11/15/22 $6,611.75 If the job cannot be fixed or completed, then I will need my money back to hire someone who can - or take next steps. If someone could reach out to us as soon as possible that would be greatly appreciated.Business Response

We had 4 large sliding windows and 2 sliding doors installed in *********** on March 3rd. When they competed the installation they informed me that one of the sliding windows did not work. At that time he told me they were going to make a new window to replace it. After receiving a call for final payment and informing them they would not get payment until the job was completed, they sent somebody else out to assess the situation and he informed us the the window was installed upside down and that is why it would not slide. Since that time we have been ghosted. I continue to call and leave messages but receive no calls back. I have only got somebody to answer once and she promised I would receive a call back but I did not. We are now in June and still have a window that I cannot open and has a hole for the handle.Business Response

On 4/15/23 we met with ****** from Great Day Improvements to see about getting a roof for our deck. We were told that if our HOA did not approve we would get a refund of our deposit of $14138.94. On 4/30/23 I called ****** to let him know that our HOA would not approve a metal structure and that it had to be a stick build with shingles. He told me to send the office in ************ the cancellation form stating HOA did not approve and that Great Day does not do stick build anymore. Being that it was a Saturday I emailed the cancellation form as directed to ***** ****** at Great Day on 4/30/23. She received. After over 20 emails and numerous unanswered phone calls. We finally received the refund check 6/7/23, BUT is was short $850.00 after several emails again...I was informed that the $850.00 was kept by Great Day for "administrative expenses" . I am seeking return of the $850.00, as this is what was promised by the salesperson and it is what is right!Business Response

***,
Attached is your
signed contract. There is not any information in the contract or job jacket stating
your project was contingent on HOA approval and we were unaware an HOA approval
was even needed. We have the legal right to retain the entire down payment if the project
is cancelled more than 3 days after the contract is signed. We did not do that. The $850
is towards monies directly related to our expenses, your property had been
measured and we were gathering all the information needed for the permitting
process and for CAD. We hope this clears up any confusion and thank you for
reaching out.

I am rejecting this response because: We were explicitly told by the salesperson ******, THAT OUR DEPOSIT WOULD BE REFUND IF THE HOA DID NOT APPROVE. They would approve a stick build but Great day improvements does not do that anymore. We would be willing to split the difference and at least receive $425.00 back. We were also pressured into signing the contract and putting down the deposit by the salesperson in order to get the BEST deal everything had to be done that day. This is very fraudulent behavior on the part of the salesperson and company. I sincerely feel we are owed all our money back but am willing to compromise and have at least $425.00 returned.Business Response

The company Great Day Improvements attempted to install an enclosed patio at our house. The inferior product is so poorly constructed that I can stick my finger in gaps, nothing is level nor is it constructed with satisfactory cosmetic appearance. The structural supports are so poorly constructed and fit together that the supports are not actually touching what they are to support. The gaps are so great that rain, bugs and dirt can enter. There is a trip hazard that has caused our special needs son to fall several times. The installer said things to our children that was offensive and should be terminated. He will never be allowed on our property again. Finally, what the sales person showed as a demo verses what material is sitting outside was a direct misrepresentation. The material is a piece of styrofoam wrapped in very thin metal. Very poorly made.Business Response

We have been trying to speak with you since 5/14/23, when we learned you were unhappy with your installation, to set up a meeting so that we may address any and all concerns that you have but you have not answered or returned any of our calls. We would be more than happy to explain the details of how the product is installed with you or your legal representative. The product that the sales rep showed you is the exact product that is installed. We do not have "cheaper" products that are used for installation vs. sales. Per our signed contract, we are unable to remove the installed product and give a refund. The cancellation policy in your contact states you have 3 days after signing to cancel and get any monies refunded. You signed your contract 2/23/23. We are committed to finishing you project and we are further prepared to make all reasonable actions to address your concerns if you would only give ** an opportunity. Thank you for reaching out.

In October 2012, I have replaced my windows and was provided with :Windows Systems Lifetime Limited Warrenty. In early April this year, I reached out to the business to have the service done to adjust and correct some issues with my windows. Over a month has passed and the service is not yet scheduled. I have repeatedly reached out to the business and the last response from the business was below from a week ago.
"Thank you for the message, I apologize for the delay. Just as I stated on the phone I had to contact the Area Install Manger and chat about what is needed to complete your service. I am reviewing the schedule and will be in touch with a service date soon."
I followed up earlier this afternoon, but my concern is their non-response. I do not believe a service schedule should take over a months.Business Response

I entered into a contract with great day improvements to have a patio room added on to my house. They used high pressure tactics and I felt pressured to sign. I was very clear that it was going to depend on other factors such a being able to properly set up drainage and finding a contractor for the concrete. These things took time to figure out. They give you only a 3 day period to get a deposit back, and I was under the impression they would allow me to investigate these other issues in the home first. I learned I would have to have an entire home drainage system installed as well as discovering a broken septic tank lines and there is no way I can afford or in a reasonable amount of time be able to have the concrete and drainage done so the enclosure can be put up. It isn’t realistic or feasible. I asked to be released from my contract and refunded less the cost of the permit and cad drawings that were already completed. They are retaining 9,461.59 as a deposit. All that they did was a permit and cad drawings. This does not seem fair or right. That is a lot of money to be refusing to refund. I would like to be refunded this deposit less the cost of the work they completed which is fair.Business Response

******,
You spoke with ******* ********* in detail about your contract. He offered to modify your ******** account for a longer amount of time to pay off your project and also for a lower payment amount. He also offered to start the installation at a later date. We are very confused about **** pressuring you. Your original project was to be a screen room but you called him back a few days later and wanted to upgrade your room to a glass enclosure. We regret that you feel this way, however we are following the guidelines of our signed contract. - The Great Day Improvements TeamCustomer Answer
Date: 06/01/2023
I am rejecting this response because:
I did upgrade from a screen room to glass walls, but I don’t see how they had anything to do with it. I was told I could only get the discount if I signed on that day. If I waited- there may not be a discount offered at all. That is a high pressure sales tactic. I made the decision to upgrade to glass before the contractors came out and told me of the extensive amount of work that needed to be completed in order to have the enclosure installed. Had I had time to have contractors out to assess before signing- I never would have done so. That was my main concern all along. This enclosure is a huge cost but one I was willing to work on paying off for the next few years to treat myself. I hear cancer in 2021 and was thinking this was a great way to celebrate that victory not knowing all of these other high cost issues would arise. As someone who makes 42,000 a year- it is not practical for me to put this job off as proposed by *******. I don’t have a choice but to cancel this. I had to cancel my concrete job as well (they keep a very reasonable deposit of 250.00 and did file a permit too btw) with the cost of a new septic system, and having to do a whole house drainage project, I am looking at 50,000 or more in costs before even considering the concrete and patio enclosure. The numbers simply do not add up, and I do not want to be in debt for 20 years for this. It is not worth it to me. There was no way for me to know these things before hand, and was not given time to investigate properly, and I’m just asking that instead of actually making a profit off of my hardships, that you take a moment to look at what is fair and ethical. You filed a permit and rendered a cad drawing. That is no where near the value of 9,500 that you are saying you will be holding onto. I just can’t understand how that is ethically correct in any world. These were unforeseen circumstances, and I am kindly asking for an exception to this and to be refunded for what is fair. Of course- factor out the costs of what was spent- I don’t want you to loose money on my misfortune but I also cannot sit here and let you profit off of it. You are proposing to keep 1/4 of my annual salary, for a permit and a cad drawing. That isn’t right.Business Response

We are sincerely sorry to hear that additional issues were
discovered during your home improvement efforts. Sadly, this is the
case with many projects and something
out of everyone’s control. However,
even though we understand your circumstances may have changed, the contract you
signed remains valid. You were provided
with up to three business days to cancel your contract and receive a full refund,
but you failed to do so.Moreover, after a week since signing your contract, you upgraded your room from a screen
room to a glass room. We consider this positive interaction to be
confirmation that your interactions with our salesman were professional and
cordial as well as a
reaffirmation of your intention to proceed with the project. To
allow time for your additional projects to be completed, our team has reached
out to you and provided several resolution options. While
we understand that you may be frustrated by the discovery of these pre-existing
issues, such as broken septic tank lines, our contract is still valid. It
is important for you to consider the contract terms and remember that we are
outside the cancellation period for your project despite these home issues. We ask that the BBB close
this dispute due to the facts below:
-The customer is outside the cancellation period for the project.
- The signed contract clearly states that cancellations outside of the cancellation period result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
- The customer was happy with our presentation and product enough to upgrade her project to include a more expensive room over a week after signing the contract.
- Before signing the contract, the customer was informed that any additional concrete or site work would be her responsibility. The fact that the work ended up being more expensive than anticipated does not make her contract with us invalid.Documents supporting these
statements are attached.We appreciate your
understanding in this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:
Hi,
I did upgrade to glass walls vs screen, but I do not understand how by doing that you are inferring that I was pleased with the sales interaction. I am telling you now, as I told Jessica in The office very early on- I felt a lot of pressure to sign, it felt rushed and was unsure if it would even be able to be completed. I expressed all of this early on. During the sales visit I was very clear that I wouldn’t know the details in 3 days time and have a lot to figure out here before I can be sure, and was told it would be fine. Upgrading to glass walls does not show anything other than wanting glass walls. It was a high pressure situation. I was told if I didn’t sign the contract that day, even if I waited 24 hours to decide- that the discount wouldn’t be available to me. That is what made me feel like I needed to sign that day. I never typically work like that in any decision, and the moment they left I felt sick about how rushed it was. From the start of this whole thing I have felt extremely uncomfortable. Making an upgrade order doesn’t change that. I was invested, and planned to see it through, upgrading to glass walls shows that I had every intention of completing this project at the time. When that change order was made- I still had not had any contractors call me back- including the names supplied by your office. That sort of things takes weeks.
3 days including a weekend is not enough time to get concrete, plumbing and excavation contractors out for quotes and to navigate potential issues. I was given a name by your company of a concrete guy who didn’t even call me back for 5 weeks. That is well beyond your grace period of 3 days.
My hardships don’t matter to you, but not only am I having to replace my septic, but in order to properly drain the enclosure I need to have an entire drainage system installed around the house and taken out to the storm sewer. There is no way for me to know all of this in 3 days time. Had I had any inclination that I would have to drop 50,000 just to be able to have the 40,000 enclosure put up- I never would have even called for an appointment because that isn’t in my abilities.
As I have previously stated, I would be more than happy to pay for what was done: the permit and the cad drawing. I am not trying to get anything for free. I understand work was completed and that costs money. I am asking that your company acknowledge what would be fair and move forward with an ethical solution. This is not ethical or fair.I have filed this complaint here with the BBB, as well as a complaint with the Ohio attorney generals office. I wrote a letter to your ceo., and I am meeting a lawyer tomorrow. I cannot afford to pay your company 10,000 for a permit and a cad drawing. That is completely taking advantage of my hardships.
I am unable to accept the offer to extend the contract because due to the costs that have come up, I am currently planning to list my home for sale this summer and will not be living here long term. I am living paycheck to paycheck as it stands and the enclosure was a huge cost for me that I was going to plan to pay off over a long time. Prolonging the project just isn’t an option for me. The solution proposed is not something I can even consider.
I ask that there be some sort of compromise here. I would like to solve this, with a fair and equitable solution for both myself and great day improvements. I am asking for what would be fair, which is not too much for you to consider.

I have had nothing but issues with our patio enclosure. Out of all of our issues, they have all been resolved, but I am finding that every year there is a new issue! On March 4, 2023, I signed a funding authorization to have Patio Enclosures By Great Day improvements install windows on my patio porch. I was promised that the product should be available no later than 20 weeks for doors and 6-8 weeks for windows. The contract states no later than 20 weeks from the date of the contract and to be completed approximately 1-3 weeks after commencement if not delayed by building permit, delivery of materials, weather, strikes, fires, or other conditions beyond the seller's control. 30% upon order of manufactured material, 30% at the start of installation, and 10% of substantial completion. I have been charged the total amount and there has not been any installation completed at my property. I have NO product whatsoever. ******** the sales rep advised me that an Engineer would be out to take measurements on the property and would make sure that the foundation was leveled so that the windows could be installed with no problems. An engineer did not come out. A Field rep by the name of **** took the measurements and upon his measuring never mentioned that our foundation was NOT leveled. So our windows and doors would be slanted along with all the latches to the windows upon installation. That is not what was told or sold. On April 18 the installer came out to install and on his second day he noticed that the windows did not fit properly. We waited and on May 2, ******** came back out and stated that **** would yet again come back out to see what could be done. **** wanted to figure out a way to use the windows that did not fit so he sent out yet another installer named ******* who then was able to see that our foundation was damaged and that if those windows would have been installed it would have made our warranty null and void. When any of those windows would have cracked due to the foundation not being leveled we would have been responsible. This is not what we expected. And I was charged in full with no install. I want a FULL refund.Business Response

Combat Veteran with Purple Heart on 100% disability. This solarium was to be part of my recovery therapy after retiring Active Army in 2020. Initial contract signed March 2020. A 2 to 4 week contract still isnt complete 162 weeks ongoing. Initially contracted a solarium with foundation and electrical. After signed contract GDI stated “they don’t do these services”. GDI rewrote the contract. Convinced to build the solarium on a modified deck. Modified deck by GDI failed city inspection twice. Solarium frame arrived and measurements were incorrect. The frame was 6 inches short on 2 sides. GDI asked us to accept the incorrectly measured solarium for a 10% discount and to use the 6 inch extra ledges “for a flower ledge”. We refused. GDI requested to rewrite the contract again and were given money off. Over $40,000 of unexpected accrued costs. One week after windows in, condensation gathered between the double windowpanes. At least half of the 64 windows has this issue. Told to “just get a humidifier” and “keep the solarium well ventilated”. Told “the windows are just dirty and just need to be cleaned”. Professional window cleaner was additional $1,000 to be told there “is condensation built up inside the windows”. GDI asked and had us contact the window manufacturing department for the windows at the time because “there is nothing else they can do”. Did this and manufacturer said “a potentially known window seal defect on sets of windows”. GDI finally stated “yes, a known seal defect”. GDI put this in writing. We were asked to stay and help inspect but purposely and politely declined to be present for the inspection when asked multiple times to help inspect the windows which we felt inappropriate. These windows were replaced much later and were now the wrong tint. Solarium now leaks after proper windows in but GDI refuses to allow team to come fix. Breach of contract on many levels.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting this response because: Great Day Improvements (GDI) response is recklessly false, misleading, and an attempt to change the narrative. This is the first time anyone anywhere has stated this project "is complete" and has just opened a can of worms. The current GDI management team has assessed, evaluated and decided every move determining the outcome internally and independently. First and foremost, the Family never wanted this to go this far and wishes it no further. The Family never sought preferential treatment or asked for nothing more than the product advertised, marketed and contracted for and waited patiently for over three years. The project build has only been usable for 5 weeks out of the 164 plus weeks and still currently incomplete due to two leaks from initial installation. Many other home improvements have been placed on hold until this one is completed. The statement is “sealed and tight” is completely false. Mr **** hasn’t been on the property well over a year and the email attachment he sent is purposely misleading. Attached is the complete email regarding the leaks and bank payment. Mr **** has not been able to complete the final walk-through as the project isn’t complete. The Family has requested this postponement in this final walk-through from incomplete project installation. The warranty cannot even be initiated as the job is not completed due to still being in the installation phase. The solarium is left in a worse position, leaking, then was with the defective windows then incorrect tinted placed. The defective windows may have had condensation built up in them but they didn’t leak. Two days after the last GDI crew was last at the project to “seal” the leaks it rained. The one leak on the right side returned making the Family still have two leaks from initial installation. This rain clearly showed leaks still present under the north and south side bird boxes of the solarium as removed by GDI. These leaks are seen from the outside on the backdoor Ring camera videos taken inside at the same timestamp. Mr **** has falsely stated in the attached email of April 6th he will meet with Matt Prasky, Measurement Breakout Specialist GDI, and have Erik ******, GDI employee/contractor, readdress the leak. Instead, services are being withheld, as noted in the complete email from April 13th attached as the final payment in full will be given only upon completion of this project. This is still is still true but GDI management is not allowing the team to come out and finish the job. Trying to change the narrative by stating “this was the agreement” is false and completely negligent. The agreement was when the project is complete the final payment will be made as per contract. Currently, the solarium is worse now after you placed the correct windows in. Also caught on Ring camera stating “it didn’t leak before and if it leaks now we will have to fix it. We caulked some open areas and if it still leaks let us know and we will come back out and fix it”. The Family begged for a solution to the leaks before heavier rains come and possible home damage but this was denied as follows. The initial contract included demolishing the existing deck, laying a foundation, carpentry and electric with the solarium flush to the roof keeping a window already in place on March 2020 was to take an estimated 2-4 weeks (Contract on file). From this you are in breach of contract making it unlawful to attempt or place any lien on the Family and legally contracted to honor the contract. The Family gave grace during the COVID crisis even though an outside project and given even more time than necessary thereafter. Therefore, Mr ****’s decision to not permit his crew to come back out and fix the leaks is found under the **** Contract Law and Consumer Protection Laws as a Cancel Contract. It is important to note once again, this project is in week 164 and ongoing. Currently, past and present employees have/are contact(ing) the Family and apologize for this outcome except from management. The employees/contractors “wish we would be permitted to finish the job for you”. The Family have always been willing to pay the final balance upon job completion as per contract even after all this time and all these issues but we cannot do this as the job is not complete. The staff have even offered to come out and fix the leaks on their own accord but we couldn’t allow this due to the current contract. A brief overview follows. The Family were initially contracted for a solarium built with a foundation and electrical work however, GDI after signed contract stated “they don’t do these services” and ****** *******, Operations superintendent, came back out to the Family’s project to modify the contract. The were kind to forgive this and have the contract re-written per GDI. The Family was convinced to build the solarium on a modified deck by GDI. This modified deck by GDI failed city inspection twice. The solarium frame was ready weeks after initial contract was signed but installed a few months later due to GDI personnel issues of an enormous employee turnover in their Operations Department. When the solarium frame arrived and being prepped for installation, the measurements of the solarium were incorrect. Even if the measurements were correct, the solarium wouldn’t of been able to be built on the twice failed modified deck. The solarium frame measurements were six inches too short on the North and South solarium frame sides even after four different individuals were sent out to measure the solarium before manufacturing the frame. GDI asked us to accept the incorrectly measured solarium for a 10% discount and to use the six inch extra ledges “for a flower ledge”. The Family politely refused, wanting what was contracted and purchased. GDI then requested to rewrite the contract again by ******* *********, **** ****** Regional Manager, with Mr ******* and recommended a concrete company and were given money off the bill. The Family never asked or requested for money off as it was offered and taken. This is not a “concession”. No concessions were ever asked or requested by the family besides the honoring and completion of the contracted solarium. The Family decided this was concerning but once again Mr ’s recovery treatment, which will be explained further, was more important. The concrete company came out immediately and placed a concrete foundation for over $34,000 additional unexpected dollars. Then an electrician for an additional $2,000 and a carpenter for an additional $2,400. All of this was to be from the original contract. This is also when we lost the choice to keep the current window of the house in place. Instead, it was removed and boarded up. This total is over $40,000 (receipts upon request) of unexpected accrued costs to the Family from initial GDI contract placing financial strain on the Family. The correctly measured solarium frame was ready weeks after the concrete foundation was poured and the carpentry completed. The GDI team showed up in the morning as we headed to multiple doctors appointments. No one was home during this time. He came home to the first of many installation errors. The frame wasn’t flush with the roof as contracted. After we raised concern and complained we were told “not to worry, this will be just fine if not better” from Mr *******. Even Mr ****** saying to us on this day“is this right not being flush with the roof” was also captured on the back-door Ring camera. The windows were placed in weeks later. Four windows were measured and manufactured too small and were reordered. Less than one week after window installation, condensation began gathering in between and inside the double windowpanes. At least half of the 64 windows has this issue. The Family called **** ****, Area Installation Manager, to “just get a humidifier” and “keep the solarium well ventilated”. Neither of these recommendations helped and told by Mr **** “the windows are just dirty and just need to be cleaned”. The Family hired a professional window cleaner costing around an additional $1,000 to clean the solarium windows (receipt upon request). The window cleaners confirmed that there “is condensation built up inside the windows” and can’t be any cleaner. The Family called Mr **** and gave him the findings of the window cleaners and sent pictures. Mr **** not just asked me but had me contact the window manufacturing department for the windows at the time because he said “there is nothing else I can do” and that I “need to call them to figure this out”. We did just this and the manufacturer told me there was “a potentially known window seal defect on sets of windows” in an email. This is when the feelings of deception started. Mr **** made it a point to come out to the project site. He inspected the windows himself, attempting to clean a few and stated “yes, there is a known seal defect from a failing window furnace” and “we will have to recheck and reorder the windows after re-inspection”. This then led to a cascade of further window inspections on the Family’s solarium, multiple cleanings by GDI, excuses and delays. Mr **** sent out Mr ****** for multiple measurements and inspections. Mr ****** confirmed the known furnace failure and window seal defects. Mr **** also put this in writing for the Family and sent his the team out on multiple occasions to inspect and identify the defective windows going window by window, inside to outside. Mr **** was supposed to be present for the inspection but he only came out and stayed on site for about an hour this visit. We purposely and politely declined to be present for the inspection when asked multiple times to help inspect the windows which to this day we feel is well outside of appropriate. These windows were then replaced much later, but were the wrong tint as now the windows were coming from a different window making furnace. GDI came out to examine the incorrectly tinted windows, on multiple occasions, with a window examining device to determine the window type and tint. Many statements from the GDI employees/contractors were made about “not being trained on the device but just leaned how to use it this morning because manufacturing refuses to come out to look at the windows”. The wrong window tint was verified by pictures, a window remake for comparison and even flipped inside out to see if the tint was on a different side or model. The Family was led to believe “it’s just the way the light is hitting the windows in the day” (Pictures upon request). An invoice was requested two months back because the Family thought there was an accounting error but there was not. GDI was correct and this was our mistake and we owned the miscalculation. No final statement was ever sent and the Family still does not know how much is actually remaining on the bill. They believe it is around $4,000-5,000. It was incredibly lucky, yet unfortunate for the Family, that their current bank at the time, ********* Bank (Documents upon request) was illiquid and by all means not our fault or of any of our control, the exact weekend before the last window and attempted leak fixing to occur. Mr **** was immediately notified of this situation and approved the work to continue even after notified in advance. The Family was able make an emergency maximum payment out from **** bank this same day to show good faith. Mr **** didn’t respond to the Family’s leak concerns for over two weeks and when he did reply, he chose to withhold the fix and wanted final payment. The ’s could not give final payment as the project is incomplete and leaks from initial window installation. This is the exact reasoning to contact the support of The Attorney General’s Office, ** Veterans Justice Officer, and BBB. As the complaints filed on GDI shows when GDI is paid in full, it takes even longer for a response from GDI, if a response happens at all. Trust of this company is lost and fear of the project never becoming complete is now a reality and is a great concern to the family for the solarium's intended purpose. This terrifies the Family more than they can express from already giving GDI over three years of time and patience. There has been much interest with local community(we are a Wounded Warrior Family) and the Family doesn’t want any further delays of this due to the exasperation of his symptoms from the ongoing issues with this project. The Family even choose to not do a requested local news story on him as a “Hometown Hero”. The solarium was to be the focal point and discussion of his recovery treatment from combat injuries. Out of respect to the company and his privacy, he has chosen not too. **** has been doing their own audit/investigation regarding the funds spent on this project and per the bank’s process want to retrieve Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC) paid funds. The Family has utilized his CRSC pay for this project and it is unacceptable on they way his family has been treated. It is well documented with the **’s providers that from his service connected Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from combat injuries. The Family is a Purple Heart recipient and on 100% disability. He has had unnecessary medical provider visits related to this project and has caused more angst and distress. We are certain you will have a cordial response such as “sorry you feel this way” and “we are sorry and know you’re frustrated” but this isn’t acceptable or appropriate anymore. Treat the Family as you wish to be treated. Put yourself in their shoes please. This room was to be of beneficial treatment however, it has been the contrary. This has and is affecting well-being. No longer are excuses, deceitful communication or delays appreciated. This is again only a brief overview.

Our team is working to make contact with Mr. **** to provide a resolution to this issue. We believe that once we are able to make contact that a resolution will come quickly and we can provide a formal resolution response. At this time we have been unable to reach Mr. **** to provide said proposal. We are hopeful that both parties will be satisfied shortly. Thank youCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: we responded. To continue our transparency, as we have since day one, we accept your business goodwill to wipe out the outstanding balance of $7,389.78 and mark
the project paid in full, while giving you your full warranty on the solarium but there is an incredible amount of unexpected accrued costs that have left my family in absolute financial anguish. Attached are the receipts upon which your company said it could perform when the contract was signed. It turned out that the contract was fraudulent, misleading, and deceptive. Also, windows were installed that were known to be defective on our solarium and others in the exact time-frame as we have documents in hand from employees of Great Day Improvements and the manufacturing company you used to make the windows. Please see the attached receipts for reimbursement and we will absolutely withdraw the Better Business Bureau Complaint #*******, The Office of The Attorney General Complaint #*******, **** Bank Investigation for misuse of our Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC) Funds, the Congressional IG Complaint and the beginning of a potential class action lawsuit. You have our word on this but you need to place yourself in our shoes and ask yourself what would you do if you were us and have crushing debt from a project that has been handled disastrously by Great Day Improvements giving false and fraudulent contractual promises costing the Family an unexpected $49,305.13 on a project your company marketed to us and signed contracted to do for a family on100% disability that has been used only five weeks out of the three and a half years. These funds were to be used over three years (2020-2023 school years) as my wife finishes college but we can't afford to even make proper food requirements at this rate. The receipts are self explanatory except for the ****** ***** where there is only $360 from the solarium clean. We would love for you to come back out and evaluate what you can do to fix the leaks but I must tell you we have had three competitor companies come out on different occasions as it took you over 60 days to respond to our needs of a leaking solarium you left us and do the assessments. All three companies assessment outcomes are identical and will cost an additional estimated $10,000 to fix because it will require a roof modification on the existing house from where the leaks are and the "bird-boxes" removed. Please reimburse the unexpected accrued costs and please come re-evaluate a fix for the leaks. We are to make a final decision from our advisors by the end of this month and we want to avoid representation and this going any further at all costs and continue to work this out with Great Day Improvements and just get the product we were promised.
Thank you and respectfully,
The **** Family
