We had a technician from Leaf Filter come for a quotation. Apparently, he was not a full time sales person, but a student. After some measurements, he came inside to do a final quotation and came up with a figure of $12,500. Not to say we were floored and insulted. I said the door was open for him to leave. He then called his Manager, who answered immediately and after some discussion, the manager said they had a commercial install crew working locally and could cut the price to $5,500. We refused and told them this was still way too much.We then had a person from Homestars come over to quote on replacing the ***** trough from 4 inch to the standard 5 inch, with gutter guuards. I also asked for an additional downpipe, as there were only two on our entire house. All this was installed for $3,800. This was a far cry from just a leaf filter install. Glad we didn't accept leaf filter, what more can I say.Review fromPamela S

2 starsI was initially very happy with the product and service. Original installation was quick and painless. A couple of years ago, the entire system had to be replaced because a tree fell on one part of my house - with the reasoning that they "couldn't match the original cuts on the corner" - fine, covered by insurance anyway, right?Hurricane ****** generated ***** mph winds in ******, IN, after landfall. During the night, we heard what we thought was the bushes scraping against the lower part of my siding. About a few weeks later, we heard the noise again, but there was no storm or other inclement weather at the time. In the next day or two, we saw that the screen for one section of the system was hanging down.I called to invoke the "Lifetime Warranty" and was informed that the warranty did NOT cover "weather damage" and that I would be charged $95 for a "technician" to come out to assess, then repairs would be 100% out of pocket.BUYER BEWARE - so called warranty has a huge gap in it and it now makes me question the practice of total replacement because "its too hard to match the angles at the corners so we have to replace the whole system". I'm also questioning whether their "warranty" is now void for the entire system, since one 4 foot section will be repaired without their services.I am not inclined to recommend this company to anyone any further and have half a mind to contact Leaf Guard or another competitor who more fully warranties their product.LeafFilter Gutter Protection

1 starI confer this rating on *********** services because, in the course of my short experience with ***********, it has become obvious to me that a certain reflex for guerrilla tactics and underhand approach to sealing business prospects permeate the *********** culture. I ran away from ******, among other things, because of the abject lack of ethics and governance in almost all aspects of life. How could I have guessed that these dubious facts of life in chaotic climes do also rear their ugly heads in places like the ***, a nation of laws?!A *********** sales agent measured 75 feet of gutter length for my roof but told me it was 108 feet. I had naively signed a document that he told me was just to secure my discount. I never knew it was a contract document. A day later, I decided to postpone the deal for another time. I then texted the agent accordingly. He didn't reply. I forgot about the matter. In the dead of night, however, without my presence on the property I had just bought on a mortgage, *********** came in and installed their gutter covers. I only found out several days later when another contractor complimented me for promptly covering my gutters! Is it possible in ******* to have a service installed in your home without the presence of a responsible adult? Mute ask as it were, I guess!LeafFilter Gutter Protection

1 starNo stars at all. really We just had the most unpleasant sales experience ever (including a few time share encounters). We stuck to our guns, telling him that we just couldn't afford $8500 (which included tax and was DOWN $4,000 + from his original offer. He was able to do this deep discount because he had a commercial account close to us and he could order in all the materials that would cover both projects as a much cheaper price). When we told him that we just didn't have the money currently and we would reconsider next year, he slammed his case shut, grabbed his samples, raced to the front door and actually kind of slammed it shut. Never, ever had that kind of sales experience before. So glad we backed out.LeafFilter Gutter Protection

1 starBuyer beware be very mindful of the quote they gave and read the fine print regarding what's included they will overprice you buy and 3.50 a square in my local area spin as if its a great deal and then when you follow up push the warranty is what you bought. Even though the conversation was filters included in the price so instead of getting you feel is a good deal the estimator will overcharge and under deliver. So read the fine print ask lots of questions and get it on paper. Don't trust the estimator is going to do what they said they would do.LeafFilter Gutter Protection
