1 starLeaf Filter does a hard sell. Very expensive. They drop price and push for me to sign contact. They stated that there would be no up sale and the price quoted is what I would pay. Also, there are no middleman (subcontractor). Subcontractor showed up to do job. He went over job and down spout were in the wrong place. Had Down Spout by my front door. This is a safety issue since live where it snows and freezes. Contractor stated that he needed to contact Leaf Filter for extra down spout and there may be an additional cost. Also, subcontractor stated that I did not need the filter system in my area. Also Leaf Filter did not quote the whole house. So, I feel that was to keep the cost down so I would sign. Still need Gutter on the one side of my house, When I called customer service, they told me that they would have my sales rep call me as soon as possible. I tried calling my sales ********** response. Well, they got my money. So, misrepresented, 1) Subcontractor. 2) Sale Rep has no knowledge of safety issue for placement. 3) Maybe extra cost to correct misplacement of down spout due to sale rep not knowing proper placement. 4) **************** pasted me off to sale rep. with no response.

1 starThe price was more than other places we found out after the fact,$****** for 210 ft of gutter system, had to come back out to redo the downspouts and still had an issue, came out the second time . Put extensions on downspouts,could not bury them,said not part of there service. After a good rain I had 2 leaks ,came out a 3rd time. A different guy came,got up to roof an found no drip edge was installed. Come to find out thats extra.Well why wasnt I told about it? I was also told by this individual (******) that they would charge a service call to come back and put downspout piping. ****** was very honest to us an said we would be better off buying an installing our self being we would be charged extra. Not happy with product or the installers that came out. Not close to being a ****** job. I will be filing a complaint.LeafFilter Gutter Protection

5 starsAt first I was a little hesitant to contact LeafFilter. I thought "Just another huge organization that subs out everything". I was correct about subbing out the installation but there wasn't any problems with the installer. The whole process was smooth from the beginning to the end. So far it looks like the filters do exactly what they are suppose to do. There really isn't any way to tell until down the road a bit but the design and function appears to be fine. If I had known this I would have done it WAY sooner instead of being held hostage by someone else to clean my gutters (I am too old to be climbing on ladders!). I read all of the feedbacks and it seems that there are some who had a bad experience.....not me. It would help if those that rated the company so low would do a followup rating. 3 starsI had gutters and downspouts installed 2.5 yrs ago. The gutters I have no problem with, it's the downspouts. When the sales rep came out I asked him if the offered round or equivalent downspouts, this is because my downspouts were steel and rectangle. These when it rains consistently drip, which is annoying. He said new ones wouldn't do it. When they were installed, the installer had to cut them, then ***** and seal them. I was never given the option of a choice. The installer said they had the corregated aluminum downspouts. I gave the sales rep the benefit of the doubt. Well after 2.5 years, I do hear a constant drip when it rains and they leak where they're sealed. The company offered to have the ones I would've preferred if given the option, installed for $500+. I offered to pay half that. I know they're in the business of making money, but I'm in the business of not losing it. They're a 1.4 billion dollar company and wouldn't budge on the price. It would've been the equivalent of 4 downspouts and 9 elbows.LeafFilter Gutter Protection

LeafFilter is considered "low-maintenance" because like any exterior part of your home there is some level of upkeep required. We do charge for services not outlined in your warranty. 3 starsThe sale estimator came out to give me an estimate. I told him I would have to get back with him next week I need to think about it. The following week the project manager called and said they had just finished a job with the same material needed for my job and give me a great deal, and that they could start this week. The installation didnt go well. The installation team had a bit of a communication problem, didnt speak English and / or well, few placements of downspouts and length, and the back of the house the roof was hanging over the gutters. I talked with the project manager on the phone about this since this was part of the estimate, he told me dont worry well have that fix later, the installation team there cant do it. I did not hear from anyone so I called Leaf Filter, they sent someone out to look at it. That person told me he will let the company know what is needs to be done and they will give you a call. Waited No Call. Called again Rep. she took all information, going resend someone so they can get a report to get this fix. I received a call from a gentleman to come out, it was the same guy that was here the first time, he told me there no need for him to come out, I sent the information the last time. Hopefully it will get fixed. I happy how the gutters are looking and working in the front of the house.LeafFilter Gutter Protection
