      6/30/25 LEAF FILTER STAFF, unexpectedly showed up at my home my son & I were barely out of car when these two men aggressively bombarded us demanding money. I explained the job was incorrect and incomplete so until then No there won’t be any payment. These two men were verbally aggressively over powering me on my property making a scene instilling fear in my child &myself. I asked them to please leave & have the original salesman’s that came to my home contact me. They continued to demand that I pay them right then & there regardless. I asked over &over please leave; I was ignored, I said just get off my property I’m not going to debate here & I’m not paying for poor quality workmanship! NYS law says I have 30 days to pay. This occurred 6/30/25- gutter was installed6/19/25- driver said “you don’t pay me right now I take your gutters off”. driver, went to van took out ladder got on my roof He ignored me began unscrewing every screw from the backgutter. I called police- they are trespassing- asked many times to leave deescalate the situation my autistic 5 yo was becoming emotionally unstable due to the I said you cannot leave me without a gutter they arrogantly carried on refusing to get off my roof refusing to leave refusing to stop what they felt they wanted to do. They continued to ignore me- The second guy gets my son’s nerf gun throws it at my 5 yo direction in misses &hits my car shatters the nerf gun.These two men fled the scene once they realized all the laws they were violating endangering our safety! no screws- these two men threw Screws off onto my patio , grass and driveway.
      I’ve asked Leaf Filter for the name, address and phone number of their liability insurance company- once again am being ignored!I hope it doesn’t collapse and cause serious injury or further property damage.
      Leaf filter left me with defective construction, real damage to home and vehicle, emotional distress to my child & myself.

      It's been a year now since installation; and I am not too pleased.
      However, I so much wanted to install this system since my open gutter was getting old and the front gutter game lose.
      The concept and parts used were very appealing. However, I was wondering how they would do with the pine tree nearby. So far, so good, no needles in the gutter, eventhough I need to blow off the needles once year.
      My 2 STAR Rating is related to the installation. Noting both front and back drip over the entrance.
      The PRIMARY issue is the back gutter which was attached to my metal roof. They should have SEALED with sealer between the gutter lip and the roof connection. There is a leak and is causing the underside of the roof to discolor or even rust. How long with the back gutter stay on, I am not sure?
      I contacted the company many times; and they haven't shown up. Today I wrote a letter to the main office; and hopefully they will respond??
      Sad that Leaf Filter has a great product, But INSTALLATION Sucks..

      I purchased LeafFilter Gutter Protection with the expectation that it would keep my gutters clear and reduce the need for maintenance. Unfortunately, the product has been a complete disappointment.
      Despite the company's promises, the filters are constantly clogged with debris. Instead of staying off the ladder, I find myself on the roof more often than ever, manually clearing off the gutter guards just to keep water flowing. This defeats the entire purpose of the product.
      Even worse, the clogging has led to severe water overflow during heavy rains, which recently resulted in my basement flooding. This is not only frustrating but has now caused damage to my home that could have been prevented if the product worked as advertised.
      I contacted LeafFilter for support, but the response was slow and unhelpful. For the high price I paid, I expected a high-quality, low-maintenance solution—not a new set of problems and water damage repair bills.
      If you’re considering this product, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. LeafFilter has not lived up to its promises in my experience, and the consequences have been costly.

      Customer support is non existent. I have scheduled 2 different service appointments and both times they were a NO SHOW and no call. Tried to call in to speak to someone at the company who cares, left my number and never received a call back. They do not deserve a BBB rating as they have no integrity or honesty.

      This company is a ripoff. They send out salesmen that just want to sell you a product and take your money. They are not trustworthy. The salesman knew when he inspected my awning that the gutter was not going to work. He just wanted to make a sell. Once you sign on the dotted line you’re totally screwed. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! They will rip you off

      Am extremely disappointed in this company. The sales rep, ***** ******* came to my home in Loveland and sold me on upgrading some of my gutters to Premium 6 inch LeafFilter gutters. Even though my existing gutter had leaf covers, he told me how LeafFilter gutters are superior in keeping leaves and debris out.
      The installation was quick and professional but after the installer left I noticed that he didn't install the LeafFilter filter/cover on the gutter that were installed. Leaving me in a worse situation that what I already had.
      The whole purpose for installing the new gutters was to further protect my gutters from debris. I called customer service and they said that the order didn't include the covers. The sales rep never informed me that gutter would not be covered. I feel victimized in a bait and switch scheme. I don't recommend doing business with the company.

      The saleswoman we worked with was great—friendly, professional, and helpful. Unfortunately, everything after that was a huge disappointment. We were rescheduled twice, including one no-call, no-show, which is completely unprofessional.
      When they finally showed up, we immediately noticed the installers were very young, inexperienced, and clearly not properly trained. One of them was even afraid of heights. They asked to borrow tools from us (a huge red flag) and did an incredibly sloppy job. They left metal clamps sitting in our gutters and on our roof, caulked our brown roof sloppily with white caulk, didn’t even finish the job, and clearly didn’t take any pride in their work.
      When we called to escalate, the manager (Mike) told us that because our job wasn’t as “high ticket” as others, we got pushed aside — explaining the no-call, no-show — and that we just weren’t a priority/important. Absolutely unacceptable.
      Even worse, I explained that some of our gutters were now hanging loose, which was not the case before they removed the previous gutter guards. Mike’s response? “That’s not our job.” According to him, we only hired them to remove the old guards, and if that caused our gutters to become unsecured, it’s “not their problem.” Really?? What kind of company damages your home in the process of doing the job you hired them for and then refuses to fix it?
      This experience has been frustrating from start to finish. I genuinely regret ever hiring this company. I thought I was working with a reputable business, but clearly that was not the case. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

      Damaged Our Copper Gutters – Incompatible Materials, Poor Installation Practices
      We hired LeafFilter to install gutter guards on our copper half-round gutters. From the start, the experience has been deeply disappointing and potentially damaging to our historic home.
      The installers used galvanized screws and galvanized mesh, which are completely incompatible with copper. This creates galvanic corrosion, a well-documented chemical reaction that causes premature failure of the gutter system. No one from LeafFilter flagged this as a problem or discussed material compatibility with us before beginning work.
      They also screwed directly into our copper gutters, which voids the gutter manufacturer’s warranty, compromises structural integrity, and severely detracts from the appearance of the copper. The white plastic components and mismatched mesh clashed visually with the copper — and were simply unacceptable for a system where aesthetics matter.
      When we questioned the process, LeafFilter insisted this installation was “standard” — despite clear industry guidance against mixing galvanized materials with copper. We stopped the installation after 40 feet (out of 160), but irreversible damage has already been done to that portion.
      If you have copper gutters, do not use LeafFilter. Their system is not designed for copper, and their practices may cause more harm than good. We are now left dealing with the cost of repairs and remediation.

      Would absolutely NOT recommend. The initial work was not completed properly and two areas continued to leak, and the work site was left with residue throughout the patio. To correct the leaks, a service call was scheduled with a four-hour window. Their technicians did not show and on a follow-up call they indicated that their notes said that no one was home at the time of the appointment, which was incorrect as two of us were there all day. Another service call was scheduled for several weeks out and the customer rep said that someone from the Cincinnati office would call to work out moving up the service date. No call was received from the Cincinnati office. The day of the scheduled second call, also a four-hour window, came and went without anyone showing or calling. A follow-up call to the service department indicated in their notes that someone was actually there two weeks prior on an unscheduled day and completed the work. No calls were made to advise that an unscheduled call was make nor to cancel the scheduled call. Additionally, hard to imagine the work was corrected when no one was here to point out the issue areas. In summary, poor workmanship followed by extremely poor customer service. Would fully avoid using.

      Had this company install filters early May and have contacted customer service 5 times since trying to get them to provide hard copies of the contract, warranty statement and invoice to no avail. Have yet to speak with anyone in management. Four of those contacts they said they would mail it out. Last call they tell me they cannot mail to contact main office. Of course no one answered that call. Additionally the salesman was so desperate he dropped the price to more that %75 of his initial quote. Started at close to $7000 and settled on nearly $1700. Also the one installer, (the crew as the salesman referred to) was about 20 years old and who knows if he did all he was supposed to do. Highly disappointed due to the lack of professionalism all around.
