1 starBuyer beware!! I was shopping for new gutters on my new roof and since I constantly heard their advertisements, I gave them a shot at quoting. The salesperson (a lady) was very eager and slick. She used all the sales tricks in the book to get me to sign. She spent about 4 hours in my house hounding me about what options/price I wanted. Luckily I already had a ballpark idea of what 130 lf of gutter should cost me along with the leaf guard system I wanted. In the end I signed her "lowest possible" offer, which was bare bones, no warranty offered(?), but it was still 2x more than I would expect to pay. I had to get her to leave and knew that I had several days to rescind any contract I signed. I did some more research into the company after she left and found questionable business practices. I'm a serial entrepreneur and know how to sell a good product, but also understand when i'm getting taken advantage of. How can LeafFilter and their other sub-brands get away with this? How can they have an A+ rating here on BBB? Their best rated Consumer Report article was before CR got smart and stopped the "pay to play" system. The rating is soooo old you can't even find a copy of it as a subscriber (I am) in their archive. The initial quote was about 10x more than I would expect to pay, but I was able to negotiate down to 2x normal pricing. Imagine that. The company was founded in 2005 by **** ******, but why is this LLC (Leaf Home Safety Solutions) only in business 5 years? What use is a 'lifetime, transferable" warranty if the company (which LLC???) is not around when you need it. The installers are all subcontractors, so they are not the responsible party (but they could put a lien on your house to get paid, if the LLC isn't paying). The fun started when I tried to exercise my cancelation rights, which needs to be in writing. On their contract was no email, no fax, not even a company address for LeafFilter North LLC (yes another LLC).

5 starsWe contacted Leaffilter and the representative ********************* showed up two days latter. She went over everything, showed us all the materials and how the leaffilter system was made. The contractors showed up the next day and installed the leaffilter system. Now that all the leave have fell the system worked as advertised and we completly satisfied.The representative ant the contractor and employees treated us great, cudos to them.LeafFilter Gutter Protection

5 starsIt was worth it to get leafFilter for our House and Garage. Now we don't worry about leaves getting into our Gutters ; and now the gutters are working how they are supposed to work.
