      Poor response time. Made me jump through hoops to get updates. Price range was all over the place. Whole process was tedious and unprofessional. I still haven’t received my phone back and it’s been over half a year since I sent it in

      My 1TB SanDisk Extreme Portable wasn't showing up on my computer and other devices. I spent hours online trying to find the problem, nothing worked. I was very worried, then I discovered salvage data through an employee at best buy. I called them the next day. A very kind and professional man named Adam helped me out. My hard drive is fixed, way ahead of the estimated date. I was very depressed, because I had very good memories on my hard drive. Thanks Adam and Salvage Data for helping me recover my lost memories!

      Katie was kind, helpful, and informative through the entire process. She talked me through each step of what would happen and suggested options that would be helpful along the way. When I had questions, she responded to my emails same day.
      I had over 10 years worth of work saved on a flash drive that broke. I'm so glad I won't have to start from scratch! Thank you!

      If you are in need of data recovery, you’re, of course, in a vulnerable position. Sadly, salvagedata took advantage of this. Reviews can be subjective so I will just point to a few facts of my experience. 1. Returned computer with physical damage (deep scratches that did not exist) but actually blamed my water spillage for it and refused responsibility though I provided
      images 2. Did not meet quoted business day timeline for turnaround despite three check ins. And was four business days late. 3. Did so by upselling the turnaround time to a dramatically pricey extent (e.g around $3500 based on medium option on top of $500 just to look at computer. 4. Was unresponsive for days at a time requiring follow up, twice 5. Had me repeat what data I needed on the final day, suggesting it hadn’t even been touched. 6. Missing actual user data in the applications (not the application itself). 7. Was completely defensive and unwilling to rectify any of the above. Please definitely find a different option.

      Services were as advertised. Sent in 3 broken DVDs and to my surprise they were actually able to recover one of them. They kept in contact throughout the entire process. Micah was great and was very clear about what they could and couldn’t do.

      My phone's motherboard died, with most cloud backup options turned off, and a significant portion of my life in photos and videos on it. SalvageData was able to recover those precious memories for me. I'm still awaiting the data stick, but the relief I felt at the "successful recovery" email was monumental. Dustin was my representative, he was helpful and sympathetic. My turnaround time was about 7 weeks, and as other reviews mention, the cost is high. But, my data and the memories they're attached to were worth it for me, absolutely.

      I had a 1-TB SSD crashed. I tried different methods to recover the data to no avail. I was lucky to find Salvage Data Recovery Services who was able to recover everything. Katie was pleasant to deal with: very responsive and friendly. I was impressed with the level of professionalism they possessed. Delivery was quick. The only negative I could mention is the cost which is on the high side. But it’s worth it. Highly recommended. Very satisfied.

      Experienced a sudden and catastrophic failure of my laptops' primary SSD, an Intel Optane 1TB drive. Had over 500GB of data on it. NO FILES RECOVERABLE after trying every off-the-shelf package available for a couple of days. The laptop vendor HP was ZERO help. Low level diagnostics was reporting a partition size double the actual physical device size. The situation looked pretty grim.
      Started looking for professional help and found SalvageData. I had a long chat with one of their reps who answered all of my questions quite competently.
      Sent it off to them. They have a deal where you take it to a drop off point nearby and they even package it for you, no charge to ship it to them.
      They did take almost a week to give me any feedback despite their standard published eval time window of around 48 hours. But after a week, they finally came back and said the device looked like it might be recoverable.
      Several days later received a notification that the drive/files were ready for review as part of the approval process. Was VERY UNHAPPY to see only a half-page of garbage characters to review in the online review page, not a list of folder/files as expected. After a few rounds with support, they said that my review file was too big, and they would have to email it.
      Anyway, when I finally received the file list to review the next day, it appeared that they had managed to recover the entire drive, ZERO losses. Paid and received a new SSD drive one day later. All Data Recovered...
      So, despite the delays and delivery glitches, you can't argue with results. These people know what they are doing, and clearly have way more advanced recovery tech than the average person has access to.
      I hope they don't take this the wrong way, but I hope to never speak to them again. LOL. But if I ever find myself in this unfortunate situation again, they will be my first and only call. Nice job.
      5 stars on the recovery, 4 stars on uneven delivery process.
