    My car was backed into by one of their customers. It was completely their fault. I want even in my vehicle since it was parked. Root was contacted and the process of getting the claim filed was wonderful and prompt. However, when I went to get the vehicle repaired, they refused to pay the labor rates of the collision center even though I was told that I could choose where I wanted it repaired. My car sat in the repair facility for weeks while they debated. They finally refused to accept the rates and I was even told that I would need to possibly move my vehicle to another facility. Unacceptable when the accident was clearly not my fault. Although they paid us an amount based on the insurance appraisal, it was definitely too low. Now I am left paying close to 1000 dollars to get my car repaired correctly. I would not recommend this insurance company when it comes to paying claims.

    Horrific customer service, insane rates, really bad accessibility and awful coverage. Couldnt access their app so i honestly cant speak on how user friendly it is. I tried giving them my bank info as i was moving and settling in a new state so i had to switch banks. Not necessarily their problem but i warned them agead of time before any late payments expecting a response and got radio static. They only gave a 3 day extension and raised my rates. Late fee 24h before payment is scheduled and no one answers the phone. Stay away and continue shopping for better insurance. You will regret going with them.

    Extremely disappointing experience with this insurance company. If you are involved in an accident caused by one of their policyholders, be prepared for them to attempt to shift partial blame onto youeven when liability is clearly on their end. The customer service is unhelpful and lacks basic knowledge, and the claims department is consistently disorganized and unresponsive. Despite being told multiple times that my claim was a "top priority," there was no follow-through. Management failed to return calls, and overall, the handling of my claim was negligent and unacceptable. I would strongly caution others against relying on this company.

    As part of purchase with Caravan this Root insurance is available unfortunately the purchase was cancelled and I was told that all funds would be refunded caravan held their in of the bargain but this Root insurance didn't they deducted "policy fees" for a purchase that was cancelled

    On the 10th of July, I asked my wifes nice to drive my **** bronco sport from ********** ******** to ***********, she had an accident on the way and has admitted fault already, root insurance say they cant process the claim because I cant prove residency in ********, Ive given them my t-mobile phone bill and offered them a bank statement and a commercial auto policy but they are insisting on a utility bill that I dont have because all bills are in my partners name, as it happened 450 miles from home and 100 from the destination I have had to have the repair shop (af****able body works) in ******** Va to deliver the vehicle to my daughters driveway because they said they were not getting a response from root insurance, Ive since purchased just over $4100 worth of parts from ***** and am now in the process of repairing the vehicle from studying ******* ********* premium with root insurance just went up to $310 per month and Im ********************************** claims, the list of bad complaints on their ****** business profile is breathtaking to say the least, never mind all other platforms. It seems like I never really had insurance in the first place and being charged $3600 per year cant be fair, can you imagine how many vulnerable people are being taken advantage of by this company. And dont get me started with the claims expert (initials JE) he is so talented in the art of aggravation, he will blow your minds.Warn your friends and family about these Grifters and heres proof, call any body shop near you and ask them do they accept root insurance and you will hear the famous words NoNoNo

    If I could give them Zero stars I would. Ive have had them for years because they seemed to be affordable, however my husband was recently in an accident and that process has been nothing shy of a nightmare. **************** is not helpful. I have to do everything myself in the app. Ive been fighting for over a month for a COC to go the the *** so his license doesnt get suspended. It took 3 weeks for a claims adjuster to even look at my vehicle to determine it was totaled and its now been just shy of 2 months and I am still dealing with a 3rd party company to get everything completed and my totaled vehicle payed off. Ive spent hours on the phone with a different person each time because I keep getting shuffled and I asked to speak to a supervisor because this is insane and was refused and told that if I wanted to speak to a supervisor they could call me back in ***** business hours which would not be advised since my husbands license will be suspended by then. It is not worth the stress to literally save less than 20 dollars a month. Just go for the better named companies! This place is insane!
