    This company is the worst and should not be allowed to continue scamming consumers. They don't cover anything. I bought a 3 year plan in lump sum. I had a few claims over a period of two years. They had so many reasons for not honoring them. They would not refund the remaining premium balance and want to charge me more for cancelling! Be aware and stay away!

    Please note: this company is nothing but a scam!!!! This company closed by claim for service to my hot water heater. They denied the claim stating the hot water heater was leaking and "the technician" that came to my home to service the heater gave them a diagnosis that the tank was leaking, and they don't cover leaking hot water heaters. But get this, no technician ever came to my home. AHW representative argued with me for 45 minutes that there was a technician that came to my house and again stated that the technician said that my tank was leaking..
    No one ever came to my home to examine the tank. This company is running a full blown deceitful service!!!!!!!!
    RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't but this home warranty ever!!!!!

    Ditto of everything stated below. I filed a claim 6 months ago for a broken dishwasher and have made DOZENS of calls and they have not paid out the claim. After two years of paying them and never filing a claim before this one. They are in breech of contract and I WILL be sueing them in small claims court. They are a TOTAL SCAM. Do Not Do Business with them!!!

    This is the worst company! A complete SCAM! I paid in full for 3 years has two claims they denied them both. Their customer service reps are the most unhelpful rudest customer service sept I’ve ever dealt with. I got the run around when I tried to cancel my last 15 mos service by telling me they people who handle that are not in today ans they can put me on a waiting list and then was hung up on with putting me on list.

    Do no purchase this home warranty maintenance agreement! Beware they will not fix the problems your appliances have even though other companies would do so. I have been waiting for a refund check for my three year agreement since March. To no avail I still have not received this reimbursement.

    They have a noise on hold on their phone system. If you sit and listen to noise for 16-30 minutes, someone might answer.
    trying to get a bad water faucet repaired. 3 weeks after submitting the issue, they emailed me saying they couldn't find a plumber in Florida and i would have to find one myself. Then when the plumber was standing there with the estimate, we are supposed to call their number that they dont answer and ask for approval of the job and the price.
    Broken Garage Door spring - They don't do garage doors
    Broken TV - They don't do TVs

    There was a problem with the furnace. AHW said that they cannot find a technician and asked me to find my own technician. After the technician completed work, he said that the circuit board was burned, and charged me $600. AHW did not reimburse the claim giving some excuse. A month later, there was another issue with the furnace and this time also they asked me to find my own technician. This time, the technician said that I need to replace the heat exchanger. The same story repeated, they denied the claim. This is what they do. When you hire your own technician, they ask the technician to call them to explain the issue. When they explain the issue, they note some keywords from the explanation - like "burned", "clogged" etc and deny the claim altogether. They do not even reimburse the technician's visit eventhough my out of pocket expense is supposed to be $60.

    This company sent a tech out to repair my AC sue to loss of power to mt thermostat. The tech shorted something out blew a transformer then tried to tell me the circuit board was bad. He said he was going to put in a claim to cover the board. So he left then I noticed the breaker had tripped and I was not able to reset it. Call AHW and they said they were not responsible for the actions of the tech. So now I am in a position where I have to replace the entire system due to the damage the tech did. AHW sent someone to do a job that was not qualified to do the work. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are a rip-off.

    I had couple of claims with them in the last 12 months but none was resolved satisfactorily.
    I had a problem with my bathtub but they did not have any technicians around here and technicians do not want to do business with them. One person came and took a copy from me and promised to return it once the AHW approves the work. But it never happened. Ahw sent me a check for $200 to cover the work which cost me 600 dollars. Absolutely undependable company and please nobody should take their home warranty. I made a big mistake. STAY AWAY

    They have no techs, they depend on the customer to find their own, local companies will NOT accept warranty companies
