We rented a dumpster from this company and at the time of pick up it was only partially full and only contained shingles and miscellaneous items from our roof being reshingled. We were informed a week later that our dumpster contents weighed over 4.69 TONS. There is NO WAY that material weighed that much. They charged us
$230 extra for an overage fee. We have video evidence that our dumpster only contained said materials and it was only partially full at the time of pick up. These people are scammers- they seem to pull this trick a lot. We emailed them to contest the charge, but they charged us any way, only providing a bill from the landfill with no identifying information and no proof that the contracted out drivers didn’t stop and fill up the dumpster before dropping it off.

Our representatives rely on our customers to explain the scope of their project and the anticipated items being discarded. Even if a dumpster isn't overfilled by volume, heavy materials can quickly lead to higher than anticipated tonnage. In this case, the significant weight of many low-volume shingles caused the disposal to exceed the limit. Budget dumpster has charged me extra $195.00 for reasons beyond my control. I ordered a pick up on a friday april 12 2025.
I was told earliest would be 4 days later on the 16 of April . It rained for a couple days and when driver came out and said ground is just to saturated for a pick up. Dumpster and area around the dumpster was free clean and clear of debris by the way. Budget dumpster hits me up with $195 bill saying it was a dry run and I had to pay for it. I can't control the weather why am I being charged $200. It was told someone has to foot the bill. So I'm being punished with a bill cuz they were unable to pick up their dumpster that I ordered 4 days prior and then. And then they want to wait until the day after it rains to come pick it up. I want my $195 back by the way they said I had three tons extra which was the water weight I'm sure inside a dumpster of some just two by fours from a demo of a house no block no nothing but you're going to hit me up another $200 which I'll eat that. I will never do business again with them and I've had to use them plenty of times in the past but never again.

Summary: we rented a dumpster for 4 days, but they incorrectly picked it up the same day and refuse to offer a refund, as promised at dumpster pickup.
We rented a residential dumpster (30 yd), delivered on Mon 5/19 in Upland, CA. Scheduled pickup was Thu 5/22. Dumpster was delivered with no issues. Later that same day, the driver came back and said they needed to pick up the dumpster because Monday is a trash pickup day for the city and the day we told them (Friday) is wrong. Our trash pick up day is Friday, exactly as we told them. He said it didn't matter, he had to pick up the dumpster. We had it partially loaded at this point, and he said don't worry about it, we will be refunded in full. We didn't know what to do, so we let him take it. Some of the bulkier items we were planning to load were not ready yet (e.g. mattresses, furniture that needed to be broken down, etc.) and we could not load them. We had to expend additional significant time, effort, and money to deal with those.
The next day, they changed their tune, and only offered $50 as an apology. In trying to talk with them about this, their claim was that someone told them trash day was Monday, and having a dumpster there that day was a code violation. When pressed for details, they could not provide a name or number of who told them that. I personally contacted the code violation offices of the City of Upland and San Bernadino County, both of which confirmed that there had not been any code violations at our address, either reported to them, or by them. Budget Dumpster has no response to this, other than digging in and insisting that someone told them.
From a customer service perspective, they have no escalation path for dealing with problems like this. They are unable / refuse to connect me with the manager, saying that they can have the manager call me, which I requested, but they don't call. They just send an email saying they will not refund in full as promised. Only a $50 apology.

This company, apparently based out of Ohio, is a joke. They already once over charged me and paid it back. Then I got another $320 taken WITHOUT NOTICE a month after we did business. I got an email the same day they took it. They claim they have a statement from the dump site that there were four mattresses/box springs which would be $80 each. I did not put any in there. I don't what they did, but this isn't the first time they overcharged me. This business needs to stop taking extra money.

The dumpster company I hired broke my concrete driveway. They said they will not replace the section of concrete. I hired Budget Dumpster to drop off a budget dumpster at my property. There is nowhere on the website that states that they are a third party company that hires out other companies to do the job for them. They hired ******** ***** and they dropped off the dumpster on a Sunday when I ordered it for Friday. There was no communication that it would be dropped off on Sunday especially because they are only open Monday - Friday. When I called to confront them about this, Budget Dumpster and ******** ***** told me that it was dropped off on Saturday. They were only going to issue me a partial refund because of this. Luckily I have a camera that shows them dropping it off on Sunday. After that they gave me a full refund for the dumpster even though I didn't use it. I had to have them pick it up Monday because I have a vehicle stuck in the garage. Budget Dumpster is still refusing to pay any damages to my driveway.

I was about to order a dumpster with budget dumpster,but cancelled out the same minute because of their restrictions on what could be allowed on the dumpster.They charge my credit card $556.00 even after I cancelled the service. Text them twice and called them twice.

I hired this company to rent a dumpster. The driver arrived and began to place the dumpster in my driveway. He then called me and told me he was having trouble in that he wouldn’t have enough room to drop it without going into my neighbor’s yard. He then picked it back up and left. My driveway was significantly scratched and damaged in the process due to the condition of the dumpster. No protective material was used and the wheels were dirty and not rubber coated. The company claimed to complete an investigation without coming to see the damage. They claimed the damage resulted from my driveway being unable to support the weight of the dumpster.

The driver should have made a decision prior to attempting to place the dumpster instead of starting to place it while damaging my property in the process and then deciding he couldn’t place it after all. The company has had several reviews and complaints about damaging driveways and routinely takes a blame the customer approach. The response provided here is much different than that provided after the “investigation” they claim to have completed to improperly determine that the damage (a scratched up driveway) is due to my property being unable to hold the weight of their container. The driver said it’s was the condition of the wheels that caused my damage.The full refund is the result of your company’s failure to provide the service. It does not begin to rectify the damage caused by the company’s neglige In the process.

I called Budget Dumpster to rent a 20 yard dumpster. A 20 yard dumpster is a BIG dumpster capable of carrying several tons. However in their fine print they put 1 ton which is was fine because I was only doing a small bath room and needed it for height clearance vs a 10yard dumpster. I had very thin paneling drywall a toilet. when the dumpster showed up one they did not put down any blocks to protect my driveway second it already had garbage in it. I HAVE VIDEO! everything was WET including; parts of a toilet, chicken legs, drywall, and a lot cement along the sides! I was going to say something but I just was so busy with life I did not think it was not a big deal as I was not going to need to fill that dumpster up. Man was I wrong. So I continued with my worked and filled only about 1/4 of the dumpster. Not even close to 2,000lbs maybe 500-900 MAX. This was end of December beginning of January. I took the extra steps of putting two tarps over the top of it to make sure no rain or snow got in. In my area we a little to know precipitation. the tarps kept everything dry. They picked up the dumpster and I thought it was over. Months later on March 13th 12:40 pm I get a call from ******* **** *elling me my Dumpsters weight was 2.69 TONS 1.69 over. I told him he is absolutely making this up or something else happened because there is no way what I added was that heavy. He then starts telling me about how the Earth is flat to some people. during the call he agreed to send me the dumpster receipt. It shows Gross weight and Tare weight. it does not show when the dumpsters weight when it was dropped off, was measured last, or time of pick up from customers house all very important to be missing in order to pull this scam. The are doing this to multiple customers based on the reviews.

They refunded my money yesterday 3/31/25 but they are still lying. They are not waiting on my response I have sent them videos and pictures that's a load I'd garbage. I had called them multiple times and they would not work me at all. They didn’t want to refund my money until you guys contacted them. They were threatening my credit and going to send me to collections. I had no choice but to pay. They are predatory and if you look at many other reviewer ,(on this BBB site alone) have said the same thing about them! All they have to do is refund my money and under review of video and photo evidence say the customer was right. It's literally in the video!

On Friday 3/14 I was scheduled to have a dumpster picked up from the address listed. After reading the terms of the agreement I ensured our driveway and property was free and clear for them to pick up the dumpster. However, that morning I found out that they attempted to pick up the dumpster because there was a car parked across the street of the home where the dumpster is located. This car being parked there is completely out of my control as the customer. They also sent me a picture showing plenty of space for the truck to pick up the dumpster, so part of me thinks it was an intentional denied pickup yo obtain the extra fee. Upon escalating the issues the company recommended I block off the roadway with cones to ensure the space is opened. After consulting that recommendation with local authorities, it was deemed illegal and not within my authority - this should not be a recommendation from the company. The company gives you a 12 hour time frame for pickup with no update on their arrival. Their expectation is for you to have a public roadway blocked off or sit in your personal vehicle in all the spots and move them when you see them arrive. However, they will not call you when they are on their way. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any company in my entire life. To put the pressure and responsibility on the customer for things that are completely out of their control is horrible business practice and should be investigated promptly. As you can tell from reading this, the expectations are completely unrealistic and this situation is unethical and seems like abuse of the consumer.

I have read the response made by the business and believe that it makes it even more clear that this charge is malicious. First, they claim to have called me and are using that to exploit their “courtesy” however that is completely irrelevant as the car shown in the picture is not mine or anyone I know. It is a public roadway and they put the pressure on the consumer to make sure all the spots on the street are blocked off which is completely unrealistic. It should not be allowed to charge a consumer for something they have ZERO control over. I am glad the photo was uploaded as that shows there was ample space to remove the dumpster. I consulted other business showing them that exact photo and they agreed that it could have been removed. The fact that drivers “use their judgement” to remove it or not to gives them the power to charge a fee whenever they want. They can fall back to the same lines that are being spewed out day after day. It feels like a money grab and probably goes unnoticed most of the time. To reiterate, the terms are clear that If we can’t drop off or pick up the dumpster for reasons beyond our control, a trip fee will be charged. This includes any and all vehicles or objects preventing successful removal or delivery. The picture provided by our dispatch of this failed attempt illustrates that the hauler did make an attempt to remove this container, however, was unable due to the car. Drivers do not solely rely on judgement to project the safety of property and our team, but clearance is needed as well. The clearance to remove or deliver a dumpster accommodates both the hauling truck and the container itself. The position of this car prohibited the required distance to pull forward for the successful removal of the container. I believe the response by the business actually sheds light on the abuse of the contract. The picture shows clearly that the truck is directly in front of the dumpster and showed ample room to remove it. After multiple consultations, third parties agreed that it could have been safely removed. If there was a lack of skill or training for that driver, that should not be the fault of the consumer. The bigger issue here is the companies ability to abuse the terminology of their “contract” whenever they see fit even. At any time they can just decide not to pick it up and charge the customer. A quick google search shows an abundance of 1 star reviews and a long list of complaints regarding this subject. The business practices need to be reviewed because they are blaming the consumer for absolutely everything and there is no way to hold them accountable. It is unfortunate because the consumer may not have to strength or time to dispute these issues. The worst part is the recommendations that are made are the most unrealistic and illegal methods to block off parts of a public roadway. They offer a 12 hour window but dont narrow it down at any point. So to summarize - the expectation is to close off part of a roadway for 12 hours and prevent any other traffic from using that part of the street. I honestly needed to read it a few times when they sent it because it is the most unrealistic thing and is borderline comical to expect this from a customer. This entire process needs to be reviewed and escalated. It is borderline theft to just charge customers at their own discretion and give no solution.

On October 24, 2024 I had an admin from my brokerage order me a 15 yard dumpster for an estate clean out. The address is **** ****** ** ***** ** ****2. We were quoted and confirmed for 1 week at $379. We scheduled a pick up on 11/4/24. My admin reached out and emailed that we noticed the dumpster had not been picked up. On 11/5/25 we received 2 texts. 1 that a driver was on the way for pickup and 2nd that our service was completed. On 11/6/25 we recieved an additional charge of $150 because the dumpster was overfilled. The charge was taken care of. No other notice or instruction was given.
This a vacant home and we were not notified that the dumpster was NOT picked up as though after the company's last communication. On 1/29/25 I was notified by a potential client that the dumpster was still in place and full. On 1/30/25 BD was contacted and we were notified that they did not remover due to overfill and that we either need to remove trash or have it compacted. The compaction was completed on 1/30/25 and I believe the dumpster was picked up the next day.
Shortly there after we were notified that BD was charging us $25 a day from 11/7/24-1/31/25. My admin and owner of the brokerage both reached out and attempted to resolve the issue. We were never notified that the dumpster had not been taken, let alone we were being charged daily for almost 3 months. It was not mentioned in any of the communications, ever. The company did not want to hear the complaint and ultimately stopped answering any of our attempts to call.
