1 starAfter the 12/22 -12/27/2022 storm and cold weather, my bathroom and kitchen faucets froze and gave no running water. There was frozen water in the crawlspace so I called on 12/24/22 to have Roto-Rooter come to get the water out of the crawlspace. They scheduled 12/26 to come fix the issue. Other customers before me had burst pipes so they rescheduled for 12/27 to come. On the 27th they replaced two valves and said someone from restoration would call me to have the sump pump looked at and drain the water. They charged me $1533 to replace two values and said it covers Labor and replacement, and it does not include pumping out the water out - the initial reason why I called. The pumping out water would be a separate fee. They gave two valves that in the store would cost $20 each. This is criminal. I do not recommend at all.Review fromShelia W

5 starsWhere to start on this? The team they sent are rock stars! They went above and beyond. I had a mess I didn't understand, but they diagnosed and had it taken care of the very next day. Speaking as a single mom, having a part of your home ripped apart can be upsetting and scary to say the least, however these guys eliminated a nasty situation and were very caring in doing so. To say they are "hardworking and efficient" doesn't even scratch the surface. They kept me informed every step of the way, were respectful, moved all my stuff (and I have a lot, sorry guys) with care and left NOTHING to be cleaned up. On top of that there were managers stopping by and calling to check in, every time saying, "If you have any questions or need anything, call any time day or night".
I am impressed and very much appreciate them and the job they do. The hazards and yuck they have to deal with is something I'd never want to do so mad respect to them. I will not hesitate to call them the next time I have an issue, though I hope it's no time soon (no offense lol). Much customer love to Eric, Anthony, Quinten, Van, Mike and Ant. ??Review fromRebecka W

1 starI attempted to have these guys fix a clogged sink- first SONNY hung up on me- then someone else called me back after I left a review and I gave them the benefit of the doubt as he said they were having trouble with their phones ( this was the week of Dec 21). So they said they could come out the Thursday before Christmas weather permitting- they called and said they could not make it due to the snow but they would get back to me when they could- Tuesday the 27th no response so I called them back. They gave me the EXACT times of after 12:00 that day or 9:00 the next ( today Weds the 28). Here it is 10:00 no call no show! I called them got Sonny AGAIN and he informs me that time was not set and was extremely rude. Hung up on me again!!! DO NOT CALL THESE PPL! I'm adding reviews her, with the BBB and everywhere I can. Word of mouth goes a long way!!! As does social media!!!Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

1 starThey charged my elderly parents 4 days work/rental but only worked 2. They won't even fix the bill after they admitted fault. I have to battle the bill through insurance only. They tried to strongarm my 91 y/o for $50K for what should have been $2-3K. Then even told him to just borrow the money when he stated he didn't have it.Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

1 starSpent $2200 on a new hot water heater that was installed. 7 days later we still do not have working hot water heater. 3 technicians have come out, none of them had any idea of any backstory or reviewed the ticket at all. Starting over from ground zero every time someone new showed up. When I called in all they did was argue with me about how many technicians had showed up. They stated they only showed one visit. Can tell there is zero internal communication in this organization. I Am constantly having to call in to make sure they do what they say they are going to do. Obviously trying to get out of making good on the warranty of the asset they installed and are instead just dodging all responsibility.Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

1 starContacted Roto-Rooter about a water leak coming from the ceiling close to a fire sprinkler. After having a fire sprinkler repair company, open up the ceiling to find the source, they determined that the leak was not from their sprinkler system but a domestic water line.
I proceed to contact different agencies for repairs, it was over the weekend (Sat.) and most would return contact on the next business day (Mon.). I scheduled for Roto-Rooter to come to the propery on Sunday. The agent performed the work without an estimate nor did they receive permission to do the work. I was charged $1120.00 to solder (2) 90 elbows and (1) 1/2 inch copper pipe. The agent didn't need to have to open the ceiling nor walls, so no additional work was needed. When I contacted Roto-Rooter for an explanation/justification of the charges, the agent would not provide the exact work that was completed in order to charge an astronomical amount.
I've attempted to multiple times to get answers, but they continue to rely on the agent's invoice which just states that parts were $50 and labor was $1070.
All I'm asking for is an explanation.Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

1 starDisaster of a company.
Called for an emergency and keep pushing me off and promising me that they will update me. Every time I call back because they don't keep their word and they have another excuse every time.

1 starWe had water backing up and coming out of our basement kitchenette drain in the floor, they came out charged 7,800 dollars to excavate and fix the line in the floor by the drain that they said was damaged and causing our current problem.
I said the amount was high but they kept saying they are a big company that guarantees it’s work and this is the problem
They did mention that a small section of the line from the house to the street also had some bellying or settling and would need replacement “maybe in 5 years or later “ . They said it would be about 20 or 25k so we opted to wait and fix our current problem.
After they fixed the indoor pipe for 7,800 (which later turned out to be 5 feet long) we had to hire someone to replace the tile too.
When nothing changed , water stil coming out of the same area they started saying it needed jetting every few months (for 600 dollars) and argued they fixed what they were supposed to fix and that was the only problem in the house so anything now is due to outside plumbing and not their problem. We recently had the entire outside line dug up and replaced but water is still backing up in the same places in the basement !!
We had a new company come out and it turns out Roto rooter missed a big leak in the wall right next to where they excavated causing whole problem .
There is black mold in the wall there now too !
The last time I called the manager still argued it is an outdoor line problem and that of course if the outside doesn’t drain then it will back up inside.
I had them come out while the new company had the wall open and showed them where the problem was, tgey called manager Dan who said he needed to talk to his bosses then said they would come out and fix the pipe leak ( my real problem) just out of sympathy and not charge the now 8,000 dollars it should cost. He got nasty when I told him this is not “sympathy “ and that they never fixed the problem, his response was but they fixed something .Kholoud W

Their contract says they guarantee their work for 5 years , problem is they did work not needed and not a problem like they said they fixed something even if its not what was needed. They should refund my money considering I had another company fix the problem they couldnt even identify.Review fromTroy J.

1 starHad the main drain in our basement backup in the evening of thanksgiving eve. With limited options since it’s after hours and also because we are hosting thanksgiving, we go with roto rooter since they could arrive the fastest. The technician came out to snake the main drain. Next thing I know another guy shows up and gives me an estimate of $1200 to clean up the area where the drain backed up. He then tells me that I could clean it myself with ****** and water. What kind of ****** do they use for $1200. Another gentleman shows up to run a camera through the drain to check the condition of the pipe. He then tells me that the pipe is angling up in one area and that is where some stuff is collecting and causing the drain to backup. He also stated that the pipe was angling in another section. He quotes us $14000 to $16000 to repair it. I decided to pay for a second opinion after they already tried ripping me off on the clean up and figured that would be cheaper than having the repairs done, what do I have to lose. The gentleman from a different plumbing company comes out, runs his camera while letting me watch. I find out everything that they told me was a lie. The pipes were straight with normal wear and tear and no concerns. How do these clowns sleep at night?Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
