  I recently had an emergency with a washing machine hose that broke and spewed water all over my laundry room and kitchen. I contacted Roto Rooter in Atlanta and they sent a plumber out the same day to fix it for me. The plumber was knowledgeable and patient with my questions and had recommendations that made sense. I would definitely call again in an emergency!

  We called Roto-Rooter and a man came to diagnose the problem. He said he could replace our water heater for $2400. When my husband said that it seemed like an outrageous price, the diagnosis changed multiple times. Lots of red flags. Finally he said he could replace a part for $1200. He pushed my husband to sign a contract and told him he must sign. He did not explain what my husband was signing and was extremely adamant that he needed to sign immediately. After he made my husband sign, he refused to give him a copy of the contract he just signed. When he left, we called around to other services and were told by several other professionals that the pricing he gave us was outrageous and we were getting scammed. We called the Roto-Rooter man back to say that we did not want to service due to pricing and we felt uncomfortable with his behavior and how pushy he was. He told us that "we already signed a contract" and also told us that he was "going to call the police" on us if we did not allow him to do the job. We were rattled so we decided to say okay. He came back the next day and we asked for the contract. He again, refused to give the contract to my husband. My husband finally got him to show him what he signed and in the contract it clearly states that we "have 3 days to cancel". My husband took the paper contract with his name on it, and the man told him that he "was going to be sorry he did that". The man also started taking photos of him and refused to get off our property and continued to threaten to call the police on us. At this point, due to continued verbal threats, we decided to call the police ourselves. We filed a police report with the ** Police Department, and a police officer offered to periodically stop by to make sure the man does not come back to our home. Any business that resorts to threatening their clients should not be operational. No one should ever have to file a report. This was such a horrible experience and we are still not at ease.

  I was so thrilled with the work with the guys at Roto-Rooter. Having a plumbing problem that flooded my house was a disaster, but everyone at Roto-Rooter worked to help get me back to better than new condition. They were so nice and patient in explaining everything to me. I highly, highly recommend them!!!
